but what's going to be really amusing is the way president pelosi will use her newfound power to extract crazy concessions from trump in exchange for any sort of financial bailout.

we're talking things democrats have wanted forever like paid family leave, expanded food stamp programs, etc.

what's trump going to do? say no and let the economy continue to tank? is he going to look like he doesn't care about americans in an election year?

if he didn't think the stock market absolutely defined him as a president, he could have gotten ahead of this and actually looked presidential even if the economy suffered.

some presidents' approval ratings go up after a crisis -- even where the crisis fucked up the economy (e.g., bush after 9/11, obama after hurricane sandy)

instead here we are with nancy pelosi running things.

The Cuomo brothers were slamming him for calling it a foreign virus -- something it actually is.

Three minutes. Three fucking minutes after the most important speech Trump has ever given, and they're focusing upon whether he was PC enough with his language, and trying to parlay that into calling him a racist.

This is why Trump actually has credibility when he says that the media is being unfair to him about this, even though he's actually not doing a very good job with things so far. Both can be true.
