I went in to Harrah’s Tahoe last night to mooch a bit of food at the Laurel Lounge. A guy in front of me coughed into his hand and then opened the door to go in. I was like, nope, ain’t using that door, thank you. Larger than normal weekday crowd actually. One 2/3 NL game at Harvey’s going on (did not play).
This would make more sense than the numbers anyone has provided outside South Korea. Every other country has tested only sick people. It would be kind of great news unless thousands of people are dead in a month here.
We just got our first confirmed case here two days ago. We were one of 15 states to not have one until that day. So if it’s 100k here, it’s two million in Washington state and a million in California as it’s been bouncing around there for two months. You couldn’t read anything into the numbers here as it’s too recent, but if it’s that contagious, you can read into the numbers where we know it’s been for months.
I’d think that number, if true, would have to be great news.
Did anyone else notice how breathless the stable jenius was last night?
