His victories will mean that much more to his base now that the perception will play to his advantage, where as before, fighting with his own party could have turned off people in his base, now fighting the Democrats is a narrative that can embolden his perception within his base.
After all, he doesn't need to cater to libtards, he just has to reignite his base, and what better way to do it than a good vs evil narrative...
