He probably just needs to quit as he sucks. The dude is 37, so he started too late. The "run" was cute but he has no future in MMA imo.

hes just a rich dude who wanted to fuck around.
id put money on a reasonable line that dan bilzarian ends up in the cage someday.
werdum won by being serious.
this fuckin sport.
Daniel Sarafian tried to call time a bunch of years ago when he broke his fingers, too. Dont remember who the ref was, but he ruled it a TKO like mini-brock should have.
On another note, Edmund. LOL.
LOL Browne thinking he was Chris Webber with that timeout.
Ever since Browne got into bed with Rousey (while he was still married) his fight game has been shit.
reems line went from -105 to +110 since the event started.
Did Werdum just end his UFC career with that (after fight kick) ? He could get arrested for assault.
he accepted a verbal challenge from edmond.
whom absolutely no one cares about.
small fine imo.
Best I could find atm
So that as great because I never expected a fighter would do that to a trainer afterwards but this was the only part of the actual fight that mattered.
two finger point shout out to my stipe rd 1 stoppage arb at +310
Wtf kind of gameplan was that from overeem? Guess without those peds you lose your edge
That dumb fucking gorilla . He fucking had him and backed off
dad bod overeem is sad bod overeem.
It's easy to say it after the fact but Overeem needed to go for broke or at least much harder after he sent Stipe down.
wtf Overeem is saying Stipe tapped???
lol that awkward moment when joe has them que up the slow motion replay in front of 30k people
props to the people in "the truck" who had that shit ready to go right away.
As far as all the other crazy shit that happened tonight, Ohio seems like one of the worst ACs in the US, so I don't see them really doing anything of consequence to fine or discipline anyone, be it Werdum for the kick, or mini-Brock Lesnar for letting Travis call TO. They fined Overeem $500 for being late to the weigh-ins, which was kinda funny.
Now that I think about it, nobody anywhere ever seems to discipline refs for any reason, so that's not just ohio.
I am officially done betting on UFC because I suck at it. That fucking gorilla gets hit once and then for the rest of the fight acts like he dropped acid before it started.
He had him and then went to the conservative playbook at the exact time he should have been aggressive.
The last time anything that happened resulted in criminal charges was the incident where that hockey player literally axe smashed the guy he was chasing down the ice and it was the famous Canadian justice tried to prosecute. Can't even remember how that ended but I know the NHL came down like a sack of hammers on him as I recall he never played again in the league after the massive suspension. (Could be wrong but I thought he was near the end of his career). The closest thing recently was the stunt that Weidman pulled slamming the linesman from behind and got 20 game suspension reduced to 10 claiming he was concussed by what was legit a cheap shot on him as well.
On a side note apparently the NCAA is now running Arena Football games on Saturdays sometimes. 37-34 halftime between ASU and Texas Tech. This has all the makings of a AFL game at this rate. Nobody can play D and they are just firing down the field every possession
this has been a very .. disquieting period for betting and it started with that flash ko of aldo imo. things are very weird. no new blood, less pay, no more roids. everything and everyone looks sloppy and tired and bad.
i feel, personally (not to make this about me mind you) that when i bet on someone because i think they are going to 'show up' against a fighter whose a known entity, none of these silberbacks show up anymore.
but there are exploitable lines still... : michael johnson is a dog against dustin poirier next week. http://i.imgur.com/U5l4ph4.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/U5l4ph4.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/U5l4ph4.png
So Miocic and Overeem get the fight of the night bonuses.
Stipe deserves a performance of the night bonus for sure but that fight winning "best of the night" tells you how shitty this card was.
The Gall bet I made today for a substantial amount was the second easiest bet I've ever made in my combat sports betting history....the first was Randy Couture -525 vs James Toney in Boston. Rent paying type of ships. Thank you, MMA and UFC.
BTW, edmund is a fucking moron
Gius, pls, Gall would be like -525 against Ann Hathaway. He's absolutely dreadful.
My local bookmaker was doing a 25% odds bonus if you took a 6 leg multi and nailed them all.
So just for interest I did a 6 leg multi at the combined odds of 21 to 1 just for an "interest bet of $20". (26-1 more or less with 25% bonus)
Was a good sweat. :)
one of the greatest features of MMA is that the great cards are often great, but the terrible cards are also often great, though not always in the same way. Sometimes you get an under the radar fightpass fight night from Nowhereistan where everyone gets starched in early rounds, sometimes you get a Diaz-McGregor fight that lives up to the massive hype, and sometimes, you get what we had last night, which was a monster of a shitshow with weirdness lying about in every corner of the octagon. Even had some good Rogan and Goldie talk about Indian chants & cultural appropriation. Mini-Brock thoroughly embarrassed himself, Jimmy Rivera got the "How many fingers?" question wrong and the doctor was like "Close enough I guess" and let shit continue, CM Punk actually got a fight license, etc.
What a great, wonderful, terrible, memorable event!
:lol2
@ Overeem claiming in his in-cage post fight interview that Miocic tapped.
The WWE already firing shots at Punk:
http://www.espn.com/mma/story/_/id/1...ss-mickey-gall
LOL at Gall getting only $30k and if he didn't win then would have only received $15k but it was all about him getting his name out there.Quote:
Punk, birth name Phil Brooks, received a disclosed purse of $500,000 for his appearance inside Quicken Loans Arena, which lasted 2:14. The Ohio Athletic Commission released the information to ESPN.com on Monday.
That figure does not include any pay-per-view bonus that Punk (0-1) likely receives per his contract. The 37-year-old would not have received a win bonus, which is typical in MMA.
Gall (3-0), who made his second UFC appearance, received a disclosed purse of $30,000 -- a $15,000 show and $15,000 win.
UFC heavyweight champion and Ohio native Stipe Miocic (16-2) received a disclosed purse of $600,000 for his first-round knockout victory over Alistair Overeem. Overeem was paid an $800,000 show purse.
Rivera banked $24+24 and Faber might have intentionally blinded him permanently in one eye.
Really consider how fucking insane that is.
