Societe Brewing San Diego,
Crowe the lamb pita was burned to a crisp and it certainly was not moist. However the chef/owner of the food truck had his first child this week. I do not blame him for his errors. In fact I gave him a substantial tip to be used for diapers.
Well the food trucks in So Cal are good and most of the time super moist. However, you do have to spend for the convenience of having it there. Where I was at the time, there was no fast food places or even some sort of a food option available within the area. I needed some nourishment and while overpriced and not moist it, the pita did fulfill its purpose.
The main focus of my post was the beer that I was having which is a popular brew from an up and coming brewery out of San Diego.

Monkish is quite small and has a very small distribution footprint. It is easy for Clown Shoes to do a tap takeover as they are a gypsy-brewery operation. Same goes with Mikkeller, Evil Twin, Prairie and Stillwater.
California has extremely strict guidelines from the ABC commission. If a brewery wants to expand space or even expand their brewing operation they have to obtain a blessing of the ABC and in some cases it is easier to obtain the blessing of Jesus Christ.
Alesmith San Diego. Alesmith is certainly one of my top 3 breweries if not #1. This is my first time stepping in their new location. I'll admit that I had an orgasmic and euphoric moment as soon as I stepped inside.
Ending the night at Mikkeller Brewing San Diego.
Bootsy, these monkish lines are getting out of hand.
Yeah I didn't bother this time around. From what I have been hearing people are now arriving at 5am. This neckbeards need to get a fucking life.
In other news I Love It is back in bottles and draft at Noble. Noble will also be releasing Galaxy Showers and their collaboration with Cellarmaker which will be the first time Noble will be canning their beer.
I think from now on I am just going to stick with the OC beer scene (Noble, Bottle Logic and Bruery) and make monthly trips down to San Diego.
Fuck waking up at the crack of dawn and driving to Torrance and pay $60+ for 4 4-packs of IPAs.
This has likely been covered. Driving to the pit of the doomed this morning, conveniently next to the doggy park, I see not one but two billboards for Root Beer Beer. I assumed double vision initially but was a believer by the second sign. So it's damn near 10am and I like root beer. Stop in and pick up a six pack. Ask the lady sellin if she's tried it. Says ya, it's good but you don't want to drink em all at once. Not insulted at the insinuation, I down the first one like kid drinking a float. Halfway through the second I realized I've never had two root-beers back to back. Taste was great but the sweetness was sickening. Now I've got four left in the fridge and the thought of it has me close to gacking.
What horrible choices we must face.
I've tried a couple of them. The 'not your dads root beer' and some other one. A lot of these micros use a ton of sugar and it just gives you a belly ache after a couple. The lady was right though, you're not supposed to have more than 1 or 2 of those in a sitting.
I agree I've tried 2-3 of these root beers and they are terrible.
If you are looking for a peanut butter stout or porter, Belching Beavers Peanut Butter Milk Stout is pretty fucking money IMO. I am not sure if they distribute to wherever you are at but you can get it online at craft city or another online beer store.
Yeah I had to take the day off for something else so I did grind out the shitshow and got a 4 pack. It will be released on draft. I am not sure if they will fill growlers though. I am going to wait a few days for the canning shock to subside. I have I Love It and Galaxy Showers and some Spock It and Sticky Green and Bad Traffic ready to go for this weekend.
RBC were you able to score Fundamental Observation bottles? I scored the full 4 allotted.

Enjoying that lately. A nice balance of sweet/dry for a cider, with a bit of tartness as well.
almost all of my quality beer drinking is kuntmissioner-influenced, and usually kuntmissioner-purchased. this latest find was something I was going to get him for his birthday, but through the goodness of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, his wife grabbed a grip of these earlier today, and they gave me a few! Happy Birthday, kunt, and thanks!
Tree House Brewing Company. alter ego in the glass. shit's the balls.
my glassware game is non-existent.
It is west coast for sure. The hops that they used have been kept top secret. It is an excellent beer for sure, but it doesn't top Tongue Tickles or Citra/Galaxy Showers. They came out with a small batch variant called Dank you for being Ardi which they put massive amounts of coffee in the brew. Quite an interesting take and quite delicious.
Posting this for Crowe to give him some inspiration on his glass game. Also I can't think of can art that can beat this can. Maybe something from Hoof Hearted but I can't think of any off the top of my head.
Figured we need some more content in this thread which is one of very few that has not been plagued by autism. Currently enjoying a Ny Verden from Mikkeller. Mikkeller fucking kills it in the bottle art department. Tasty brew as well.
Are you hitting up Monkish, bootsy?
No. The releases have become such a shitshow that I can't justify wasting a Saturday morning sitting out in the sun with hundreds of douchebags.
I'm sticking with my usual rotation of Noble, Bottle Logic, Societe, Pizza Port and Beachwood for my IPA needs.
watched UFC 200 last night with a fine selection from Monson, MA.
