no doubt preparation helps. a lot. to me the more prepared i was going in, the more comfortable i was in front of the jury, and therefore the better i performed and could then evaluate when to take more aggressive chances/positions or when to tone it down, etc. however, there is nothing like experience and being able to read the room and think on your feet. the better you are at this, the less preparation you need. combined is the lotto number.
anyway, my real reason for responding was to say this and then see if you concur:
easily half of the good, not even great, trial lawyers i know, would blister either of them in a debate. like without preparation. they are both frauds.
Harris gives her first interview tomorrow night in 40 days. But here is the deal, she has to have Tim Walz next to her in the interview. Look, she obviously can't think on her feet, its not to say she is dumb, its people choke when under pressure. I remember years ago I was with a female Executive VP in a meeting, it was in a room full of people. We were trying to close a deal. I was like 25 at the time, and it was my first closing meeting. The questions from the client were fast and furious, and like 5 minutes in he voice started to crack, and she began looking at me to answer. It was clear halfway through I was running the meeting, and I actually got up and walked around the room to liven it up. Now we did not win the deal, but I was approached a month later by the firm I was in front of to ask if I was interested in a job (I declined because it required to relocate).
Point is Walz will be there for the interview as a security blanket. In the debate she is going to have to fill up 90 seconds per answer, its clear she cannot do it. If I am Trump I simply stare at her while she is answering. If he does that, there is a 50-50 chance she complains and just walks off the stage. Just watch, she is flat out awful and gets nervous.
The "interview" is being conducted by Dana Bash. How shocking that they get one of the most partisan and dishonest hacks at a network full of them to do it. Here is a recent example of her antics:
https://www.dailywire.com/news/cnns-...ing-their-talk
She will 100% be on board with scripting the entire thing to make Kamala look as good as possible.Quote:
Bash played a deceptively edited clip from the X Space interview where Trump and Musk discussed some of the risks involved with nuclear energy, particularly if people are able to move back to areas where nuclear power-plants have had accidents.
The clip that Bash played for CNN viewers contained the following exchange:
MUSK: Hiroshima and Nagasaki were bombed, but now they’re full cities again, so-
TRUMP: Right. Right. Right. That’s great.
MUSK: So, it’s not as scary as people think basically.
After Bash played the clip, she said that they were “sort of suggesting that what happened almost 80 years ago next year, the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, now it’s okay.”
Bash’s remarks were a blatant distortion of what Musk and Trump were discussing.
What really happened was Trump started talking about what he believed the greatest threat was to the U.S. and to the rest of the world, which he said was “not climate climate,” but the proliferation of nuclear weapons.
...
“Fake news CNN selectively edited President @realDonaldTrump and @elonmusk ‘s conversation last night to claim they said that the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings were not a big problem,” Trump said. “The full context shows they were talking about nuclear energy. All the fake news does is lie.”
Political commentator Anton Vuljaj posted on X: “Whether you like/dislike Trump doesn’t really matter…this is a pretty damning clip of CNN and explains why tens of millions of Americans have lost trust in the media.”
“What a joke,” said media analyst Joe Concha.
“This is terrible. It was obvious that @elonmusk was talking about how radiation declines over time,” said journalist Michael Shellenberger. “Some of the best research comes from Hiroshima & Nagasaki. Are you going to correct your misinformation and apologize, @DanaBashCNN?”
TBH, I think the only people that will watch this are people already voting for Harris. The fact that this is even newsworthy if absurd. The debate will expose her, she cannot fill up a 90 second answer. This whole "She is a Prosecutor" is a joke. Most Prosecutors of big cities delegate the nuts and bolts of the trial to their staff. I was on a jury of a fairly high profile case where I lived. The Prosecutor while at the trial did not say one word, she delegated it to two young lawyers. I am quite sure that is what Harris did in her career.
iirc Dana Bash's husband (cia) signed the letter stating Hunter Biden's laptop was Russian disinfo. That letter along w FB's subsequent suppression of the laptop story rigged the election.
That lie about Russian interference was parlayed into the current bloodbath in Ukraine
That war is so absurd.
Hey fellow white Christians lets go trillions and trillions in debt so we can kill each other and destroy everything we ever built.
Who would want that? hmm
Cliffs: Thru control of the media Jews are able to foment wars and rig elections. Yes Dana Bash is Jewish and so is FB.
Tik Tok and now Telegram will be forced into compliance or banned.
Then to add insult to injury, who went to jail for this rigging the election?

What they (the media and govt) did to Tario is so wrong, take a minute and familiarize yourself with his situation.
As usual the exact opposite of what you know or can consider will play out.
Trump, all sizzle no steak, relies almost completely on crowd work. It is the only reason he is a candidate for president.
Trump's name calling, bombastic claims and outright lies don't work in a proper debate. Teleprompters, notes and a live audience are not allowed in this debate which means Trump is a dead man talking.
He knows nothing but hyperbole.
Charisma or likeability is very important in a country obsessed with image. Harris is proving to be no slouch here. She's not an old man selling bibles to the poor and cutting taxes for the very rich. She will run Trump over in this debate.
Tough on crime? Ask a criminal
Point being, Harris for President does not require one to
vote for a convicted felon on several counts.
A serial fraud has finally been exposed to American voters.
The fact that a female woman of color former prosecutor
is pitted against a rich, old, white male recently convicted of sexual assault and multiple counts of fraud is not lost on
the majority.
surely she will have the questions already.
who would waste a minute of their life watching this. besides it is TNF!
Obvious answer is anyone who respects the highest office in the land. To vote blindly is not that.
You insinuate Harris will be fed the questions? Pretty crazy thinking.
To counter that possibility Trump should acquaint himself with the issues facing the leader of the free world, lol.
There should be no question that a candidate for president is not prepared for and have an answer.
It's a lose lose for Trump. He can't run from the debate but will be exposed for what he is through it.
For instance. Israel and Palestine. The two state solution previously proposed.
His answer

This from a former president and a current candidate.
He doesn't even know what's going on.
He's got the one-two thing but that's it.
I thought his U.N. speech was unbeatable, but no.

some people in here think Scamala will do well in a debate with Trump because she was a lawyer?? Trump will mop the floor with her, let's not forget some of her bumbling, stumbling and stupid answers that she gives, it really doesn't matter though cause the election will be rigged again.... remember when she tried to explain the Ukraine war!!??... skip to 45 seconds...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6QOyVfhi40
Interview rumored to be edited down to 18 minutes between her and the creepy dude.
She’s a fucking moron.
let us not forget about the "passage of time" rambling..... and some people really think she is gonna do well in a debate where she has to think on her feet... the only way she does well is when, whoever is hosting the debate gives her the questions days before hand so she can prepare her lies... and that isn't too far fetched the way the Libtards stick up for each other.... it's all so corrupt...
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/k6IdZJii260
So, as a journalist might do, I watched the video you posted. This is a highly edited video. The "passage of time" content you point to is edited repeatedly. Just post the original video or audio without edited inserts of black children. There is no original video.
"Trump wrecks Kamala" is the title of the video.
There is nothing that even supports that title
the wheels on the bus go round and round... no way in hell she wins in a fair and square debate... it will be rigged in her favor...
did i mention the election will be rigged too???!!!!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d42KsViCl7Q
No idea why you repost nonsensical videos. Topic aside she speaks perfectly.
When you say the debate is rigged or the election is rigged you are showing signs of
trauma. You've been hoodwinked for years and are realizing it but not owning just yet.
BTW, this is what the majority of politicians deal with. Everyday shit presented by everyday constituents.
"leave"
and after she "wins" the rigged election, don't you dare criticize her, America is doomed....
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-uinamuVtg
I'm being as objective as I possibly can here, watching Kamala I think there is absolutely some type of alcoholism and its effects going on here. She has classic symptoms of long term thiamine deficiency.
Some of the same I'm sure you suffer from as well. Seriously, start taking a vitamin b complex heavy in thiamine and thank me later. Anyone who has a drinking problem needs to. It can prevent you from becoming a scatterbrained oaf, and some of the effects are even reversible in time.
1dollarsnowflake is this true?
actually it is, in the first hour into Bidenomics with Joes stroking off of the pen (executive orders) he attacked the oil, natural gas, gasoline and fossil fuel energy sector (including electric power plants that use natural gas to produce the electricity) and then the passing of the "inflation reduction act" ( green new deal ) when you drive up energy costs to transport the food, energy to keep the bacon cold at the grocery store and then the attack(s) on ranchers that raise the cattle and pigs and etc...
wind power generation is very expensive and is not profitable if it wasn't subsidized by the US Govt. ( US tax payer funded )
so yeah when you start to take away the cheap energy that you have and force people and companies to more expensive power it all has a ripple down affect that ultimately the end consumer ( bacon consumers ) will have to pay a higher price for...
only you fucking stupid Libtards can't figure out or seem to realize is, that inflation across the board is through the roof since Biden took office, no one to blame but uncle Joe... this shit didn't happen under Trump now did it... but somehow you idiots want to blame Trump for what has and is happening under the Biden Regime??!!!....
and then ask stupid questions about why the price of bacon is very high... under the Biden Regime??!!!
YOU PEOPLE ARE SO VERY STUPID....
and then the American tax payer is on the hook for feeding an extra 20 million illegal aliens stomachs... and it's free to them cause we pay for them... and guess what... that puts pressure on food resources... you know like bacon... but let me guess that's Trump's fault too cause it is happening under the Biden regime??
not what you think, it's a good 4 minute watch.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rfiLU1VSHI
they are both at fault, but for different reasons. nothing is changing either way $1. wish it were the other way, but it ain't.

funny thing is, is that we didn't have this hyper-inflation under Trump... and really it is hyper-inflation... so what changed?? the only other time this happened was under Jimmy Carter... so there has to be some similarities between Carter and Biden... so what is that common denominator....hmmm???
Nope. This one is on Joe. I'm surprised you don't see this, as you are one of the few Dems on this forum who is willing to be critical of your own party.
The forced business shutdowns of 2020 were retarded, but once they occurred, the government had to do SOMETHING for the people out of work. Otherwise it's not fair to forcibly prevent people from earning an income, yet expect them to support themselves. The checks sent out to people were a necessity, and yes, likely to cause inflation down the road.
Once everything reopened, this should have been over. Jobs weren't just plentiful -- it was impossible to get enough employees to fill them, as many decided not to go back to work for various reasons (a different problem, and one which still persists somewhat today.)
There was NO reason to be shooting out checks after Biden took office in January 2021. But Biden continued to do so, because Democrats love handing out free money for votes. When Republicans insisted this would cause a horrible inflation issue, they were dismissed as cold-hearted, paranoid naysayers. When inflation did start rocketing up that year, Biden called it "transitory" and said it would be back to normal "within a few months". Republicans who said this would be a long term problem were again dismissed as histrionic and attacking with misinformation.
High inflation lasted long enough to cause a significant and abrupt increase in prices everywhere. Even though the pace has slowed a lot, the damage is already done. Now Kamala has the nerve to blame this on Trump.
Terrible.
You are talking to a poster with incurable TDS, Jayjami. Funny when Obama won, I did not like it, but went about my life in a normal manner, I was not freaking out, just said the other side won and that was that. TDS inflected people like Jayjami and just can't get over it, it's a disease. If Trump wins this year, you are going to see a boatload of suicides, just watch.
These forced business shutdowns you speak of Druff were pretty much allowed to happen under Trump. He was commander in chief and he did not do nearly enough to stop this or to stop schools from being closed down through the end of his term in '21.
Trump got run over by Fauci and Bricks and all the people who wanted everyone else to freak out over covid when we should have just carried on as normal best anyone could.
Those were some pretty f'ed up days for sure but there are a bunch of kids out there who are a lot worse off than they might've otherwise been had Trump taken a harder stand against the covid freaks. Had he done so the massive spending bill(s) he signed would not have been necessary. So, yes, Trump is definitely to blame, in part, for the inflation.
Yes, I agree the shutdowns were idiotic.
It was fairly obvious after a short time that the transmission was largely pre-symptomatic, meaning that it would be impossible to stop no matter what we did. That's why it's so funny when idiots still say we could have contact traced or masked our way out of this.
I was not happy with how Trump led during COVID. On one hand, he let Fauci run the show too much, and didn't push back enough. On the other hand, he was too busy fighting with Democrats on Twitter, and too dismissive regarding the reality of COVID (that it was a serious matter which was going to kill a lot of people). DeSantis really put on a clinic regarding the proper handling it. Too bad he ran such a shitty Presidential campaign, and also too bad that he changed somewhat and tried too hard to appeal to the MAGA people.
Anyway, the inflation is mostly the fault of Biden, and Kamala saying otherwise is a complete joke.
