After much inner debate and looking at everything two things come to mind
1. cancer seems to be a major third rail and thread derail over it on PFA.
2. I hereby nominate Jami for early consideration for PFA 2023 fraudster of the year. I don’t know despite being earlier into 2023 this is going to be beat. This is rapidly now rising to some of our more famous incidents. She’s almost taking the Postle rout. I guess she missed the point of AntiSlapp previously when she was dumb enough to bring up Todd being sued and leaving out the whole cloth fact of the BS the lawsuit was about
I admit I tried to give Jami the benefit of the doubt maybe more then I should’ve probably but she’s jumped the shark and I so wish I’d snagged that armband photo of her in the hosptial bed which showed clearly as Jami Daniels on the arm bad so clearly that’s her legal name and her sister and her if she’s real so have the same father legal last name or Wtf ever she’s trying to spew.
One must wonder if Jami trying to take a page out of rhe CMoney play book on this whole scheme of hers. It’s clearly different. C$ didn’t try to take money from the community.
Imo if you haven't donated and have no intention to donate then you have no right have your questions answered.
Tbh it's probably rude to even ask, what if you're fucking up her cancer treatments.
Something interesting I've noticed.
There's a fairly consistent trend among Twitter people with opinions on this matter. The ones hating on me mostly have either left wing political rhetoric on their page, or they have pronouns in their profile (despite not being trans). The ones on my side mostly do not have these characteristics.
So, from what I've seen:
Political right: Very likely to agree with me here
Political center or apolitical: Somewhat likely to agree with me, or at least partially agree with me
Political left: Likely to disagree with me
Political far left: Extremely likely to disagree with me, and also get really angry
*** This does not include PFA members, as this forum tends to attract the cynical and skeptical, so I assume left-wingers here also clearly saw this shit as very shady.
This is despite the fact that it is a NOT a political issue at all, and many of these people aren't familiar with me or my political views. Some have even stated that they don't know my political views but are guessing I am a "red pill" guy.
This whole thing would be a fascinating political science study. I have long felt that certain brain types and mindsets are naturally attracted to particular political ideologies, and this is furthered by a belief system which also shapes people's morals and opinions.
I developed my right-wing (though not far right) views from watching raucous political/social debate shows as a 12-year-old, and noticing I was frequently agreeing with the conservative. I honestly just watched this stuff as a kid because it was fun to see adults yell at each other, but I actually learned something from the topics being discussed. Looking back on it, I have always felt that my brain makes me a "natural" conservative, while I feel that others' brains make them more naturally inclined to be liberal.
Here is the article, if anyone is interested:

It links to this thread twice, and as I mentioned, has more of a general focus with only a small section on Jami LaFay, specifically. It does, however, touch upon many similar instances of attempting to fundraise via crowdsource...most of which were totally fraudulent.
My opinion doesn't really matter, but I think there are some shades of truth to this one, as some have also seemed to speculate. If anything about this is questionable at all, recent history with this person aside, I would say that I'd like to see more specific accounting/justification backing up the 50k figure.
End of the day, people will either donate, or not. The information that Dan Druff has uncovered, in my estimation, might guide people to making an informed decision on this one. Of course, many of us (here and Twitter) commenting were never going to donate to this GoFundMe anyway. I certainly wouldn't have because, but for this thread, I'd never even have heard of this person.
As others have said, probably not the hill I would have picked, either...but it is good that Dan has opined, investigated and those who might donate can make an informed decision. It also seems the blowback wasn't as bad as it could have been, from what I can tell.
Ftr jami made a cryptic post suggesting suicide yesterday to another Twitter account. Would suggest laying off her as she is not in a good frame of mind. To my knowledge she has not posted since. I doubt it’s a serious attempt but she clearly is not well mentally.
See I thought this is where this could go because this woman is mentally unstable. That's why 2 days ago I told Todd on here he should just drop it now. Todd rightfully brought her BS to the public but because she is a nut case you never know if she would harm herself. And Todd obviously doesn't want the backlash if that were to happen.
TigerPiper,
Thank you for the compliment in the reputation thing!
Also, from the article, perhaps relevantly:
Quote:
The only thing that I will say is that she probably could have put up a GoFundMe seeking money for mental health treatment and nobody would have batted an eye. $50,000 would probably have been a little optimistic, but I’m sure there are some targets that might have been reached, and given her recent behavior, would have been quite credible!
I loved your list about how to avoid online fundraising schemes. Very thorough!
She retweeted something this morning.
She is alive and well.
Also druff feel free to delete my post but here I take it her comments that Todd isn’t your real name are because tons of trolls are feeding her info?
Hats off to you if all this time you’ve been using a fake name
