gotta love twitter. Bless these Canadians
This was actually about 5 days ago. I’ve been meaning to start another thread but don’t have time right now. It’s going to be a big story this weekend. They even basically taken over downtown much like BLM did in Portland. All businesses been forced to shut down and trucks blocking everything. People can’t even get groceries.
Anyways there are only a few hundred left but this weekend it’s expected that thousands are going to return and on top of that an anti protest movements is also going to bring in thousands on Saturday. It could be quite the powder keg if it is mishandled.
Ottawa police have already stated they can’t control it and hinted that military will need to be brought in.
Been watching live feeds all week. I’d be down there watching in person if I didn’t have a child.
Thank you for replying. Do you think the convoy/protest is going to have any impact on c19 mandates/restrictions in Canada?
Well the conservatives just threw out their federal leader the other day….
Also as I’ve previously explained nearly all the mandates and rules are done at a provincial level. Trudeau doesn’t have control over most of their grievances. It would make more sense to try and take over Toronto the provincial capitol where all the politicians are.
That being said this seems much more symbolic. Supporting the truckers is about so much more than the vaccine mandate to these people.
Also a lot of provincial restrictions were lifted by Ford on January 31st this was planned before the protests. Although ironically the business have had to remain closed in downtown Ottawa because of the protest.
The problem with the protest is that the people involved have so many different demands and views. This is also why the Conservative party collapsed on itself. They’ve had a really hard time uniting the right as of late which allowed Trudeau a close election victory in the fall.
Trucks have caused the border crossing between Montana and Alberta to be shut down on I-15 just north of here at Sweet Grass, Montana/Coutts, Alberta. The little town of Shelby, Montana, not far from the border is doing a bang up business right now. Business they haven't seen in years in the bars, hotels, restaurants, casinos as the Canadian truckers stuck on this side of the border wait it out.
BCR is a dumb faggot.
The mainstream media, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, New York Times and Washington Post have completely avoided this Johns Hopkins meta study. They have given zero coverage to it. They want to keep team libtard as ignorant as possible. The only way the libs can know about it is if they watch any Fox News but you know they don't do that.

A 5 Jan 2022 Rasmussen poll finds that :
-55% of democrats support fines against unvaxxed
-59% of democrats support house arrest of unvaxxed
-48% of democrats support prison for questioning vax efficacy on social media
-45% of democrats support internment camps for unvaxxed
-47% of democrats support surveillance of unvaxxed
-29% of democrats support the state taking the kids of the unvaxxed
And libtards say Trump is a dictator. GTFO!

That's because there's a number of fake Republicans these days who have moved to the left and don't realize it. They blame it on Trump "changing the party", but when you press them which 2000s-era GOP policies they still agree with, they have a hard time naming one.
There are also some COVID authoritarian types who feel morally superior for having vaxxed, so they support these idiotic measures regardless of politics.
My views on COVID have actually pissed off a lot of people on both sides. People on the right mock me for taking COVID seriously and getting every dose of the vaccine as soon as I could. People on the left attack me for doubting cloth mask efficacy (though not so much anymore lol), and for being against mandates and lockdowns.
It really saddens me to see how anti-science both the left and right became during this pandemic, and not just in the US. There's this COVID-related dogma that people subscribe to, and then won't budge. No room for subtlety, no room for open discussion, no room for looking at the data and making logical decisions. Everything seems to fall on one of two sides -- "COVID is no big deal and has always just been the flu" or "We must prevent every possible COVID death, no matter what cost to society". Both suck.
Tight predictions. Notice the date was December 29, 2021 -- we're not talking about something from 2 years ago.
