Haven’t touched NHL favorites but I have been betting a lot of west coast home overs. Las Vegas being a money truck when it’s lined at 5.5. Seattle too.

Ahhh why not … this thread has atrophied into my personal canvass anyway.
The intersection of fail LA sports, crypto, bubbles. Crypto.com stadium. Enron & CMGI were already taken, I guess. This is a source of private amusement that is difficult to share with noobs.
But maybe others are amused now.. we have this:
FTX, Crypto.com and the ‘Stadium Curse’
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/ftx-c...195317768.html
I’ve been explaining to the crypto kids that the New Patriots Stadium was initially called CMGI Field. Blank stares. They don’t know the dot com story. MLNK is the new rebranded CMGI.
The best of times.
$700m for the naming rights & Matt Damon pump commercials. I’m the one who’s wrong. Ok.
I need to dive into whoever is behind Crypto.com. Precious
I'm going to jump back into NBA shortly. Just took some time to re-analyze after the beatdown in my first 15 picks.
Lions +3
Raiders/Cowboys U51.5
Parlay Cowboys/Bills
Ohio -6
ND -19
Dak U 37.5 longest comp
Also U64.5 in the Egg Bowl. I am 3-0 betting Ole Miss under this year, and none of them have been even close to not cashing. Hoping rain bogs down this game.
Fade the public parlay - Vegas +7.5 and under 51
Nevada is a shitty place to bet sports nowadays. Bet MGM and Ceaser’s carve Nevada out of their main apps to other states. Instead you get an app with shittier odds, function-ability, zero chance at promos and decreased betting options.
Florida is fascinating right now as the Seminole Hard Rock has just shut down their app after a federal Judge in DC made a ruling. The Seminole tribe has had the local politicians in their pockets a long ass time, but this fight over Sports betting is going to the Federal Courts. It’s not just the other gambling establishments in Florida anymore, it’s the big Dogs like Fanduel and Draft Kings who want in.
Will be something to see how this shakes out. The article talks about the Seminole “Quietly” going live with their app. They may regret just not keeping sports betting out of the State in the first place.

Very interesting situation down here at the moment.
First off - surprisingly they haven’t shut the app down yet and even though they haven’t opened them up they haven’t removed the craps and roulette wheels yet.
It seems the stance the state and Seminoles are going to take is that the ruling is unclear to them and they don’t understand what the ruling means how or it impacts them…… they are basically telling the federal judge fuck off, at least for the moment.
The big money from this is and always was the sports app statewide. They could have just accepted craps/roulette and on site sports betting and moved on. The 2.5B they promised the state over next 5 years was all related to state wide sports betting as a monopoly.
My guess is it all get shit down soon by a federal judge. Then Seminoles will appeal and lose. They know it’s a loser but will try and fight it and connect on a Hail Mary.
The medium to long term is going to be all the parties coming together (Seminole and DK/FD/Penn/Other) and getting this on the ballot in November of 22 where it will need a 60% pass rate which will be very difficult to get. With all these parties working together and the amount of $$ they will pump in to get it this has a shot.
Once it passes then the fun will start on who gets a license to operate. I’m sure Seminoles will get one of them.
Some stale O4.5 Mooney out there if you into chasing steam
This put a smile on my face. I’m not lyin’
Doing my first rib roast for thanksgiving. Old guy talk, I remember 87 cents a pound turkey and now I paid $160 for a rib eye bone in. I’m such a noob that I was fascinated how the butcher cut the bone off and reattached with string. Garlic, pepper, salt, rosemary rub.
Happy Thanksgiving
I’m shattered after NHL yesterday. I need a day off.
Panthers not winning in regulation … Flyers Martin Jones standing on his head …. turned a legendary day into just a good day.
You do get around JeffDime. Jersey, Vegas, Florida…. I’m fascinated.
Dallas Pollard over 45.5 yds
Dak under 265.5 yds
Some
Wide gaps on singleterry rushing. I’ve seen 21.5 and 30.5
So Raiders gameplan seems to be to just chuck it deep and hope for a catch or pass interference (more likely). And so far seems to be working. Through 1st Q Cowboys have 50 yards of penalties and Raiders scored 14.
Under DOA and Cowboys winning not looking super great either the way this game is being reffed.
Jesus - some really wide middle opportunities for ncaa player props.
“Sportsbook” lines are 10-15 yards lower than buckeye lines.
Sounds like Simp’s Dak passing under is in good shape. I got 267.5 under so I’m smarter than him obv
I didn’t bet the runnning back guy cause I had a far worse offering
Just finished playing tennis with an electrical contractor. He had some good stories. I’ll post em in the right place
Wow. These refs just don't want the Cowboys to win this game and they are going to make sure they don't. Sometimes it really is that simple.
Carr is scrambling and throws the ball off balance and falls into the defender and his helmet hits the guys knee and they call roughing the passer. Just completely absurd call.
And then the coup de gras Mariota comes in and the Cowboys decide to leave him completely open on an option play, and Mariota waltzes it in.
For the rest of this game I imagine Raiders actually have greater EV to win if Mariota stays in. It is one thing if you have a week to practice for it, but Mariota coming in and running the option could really fuck up the Cowboys D and let Raiders bleed clock.
Edit: Never mind, Carr is back in.
Did McCarthy really just call a timeout in the 3rd Q on a 1st and 10 when the Raiders are still on their own side of the field?
WTF?
And refs call another BS pass interference to give the Raiders 30 yards on a long bomb on 3rd and long on an uncatchable ball. It really is a shame the refs have taken over what could have otherwise been a good game.
Damn. Schultz was open, him and Dak just weren't on the same page. On to OT we go (hopefully, Raiders have 19 seconds to get a PI on a bomb and get in FG range).
NO Saints +7. Skill position players are overrated anyways. Who cares if their top 2 options at every position are out. Not I.
And Cowboys lose on a PI call on an under thrown ball. The defender never even made contact with the receiver. The ball was just so underthrown it just hit him in the back and refs called a PI for "reasons". Very fitting end. The refs really made their mark.
Sorry for looping you into a massive fail San.
I liked the narrative of a run heavy offense from the cowboys but they got down and did what they had to do.
So it would appear skill position players are not overrated after all. Just going to have to take the L for the day and move on.
Unless there is 5 TDs in the last 10 minutes of the Egg Bowl at least the Under will hit there, so that helps with the bleeding a little.
Ole Miss defenders keep coming up with mysterious leg injuries. It looks like they are faking it to mess up the Miss St. offense. But meanwhile all it is doing is stopping the clock and one more TD scored with little time off clock. So now magic number is 2 more TDs for the most horrible of horrible bad beats.
Ole Miss only needs one more first down and they can kneel down and win the game. But I fully expect them to score anyways, because that is how these things go.
I know shit about NBA. Haven’t seen a game yet. Prolly won’t either. But like the LOL Lakers don’t we owe it to ourselves to autobet a unit here? And if you do, overnight on a ploppie day drinking holiday is the time to do it
Trail Blazers are 1-8 ATS Away
Basketball - 556 Golden State Warriors -6½ -113. Drop a deuce
I been hearing about the Warriors but haven’t acted on it.
Let me save you some trouble. The LOL Lakers are home (3-8-1) ATS against the Kings who are an uninspiring 5-4 ATS away. I’m not even offered this shitty game yet… shenanigans. The meth addled LA fans may lay some stupid line by tomorrow night. This is the Lakers home ATS fail recipe. We will see. Don’t do druffs kids.
This is the extent of my NBA in depth handicapping.
No sweat Simp. My mind never runs to blame. Never. Betting the NFL triggers self loathing not blame. I autobet your picks sometimes cause it’s been profitable over the years. The NFL is just a fun thing.
I read a funny line on Twitter about the early games. It wasn’t Thanksgiving it was Flag Day.
The heads up deal in Vegas between Koepke and DeChamb. They blanked out Koepke and only offered DeChamb. I was kind of interested.
Hockey looks hard tomorrow. Days like Weds are becoming unicorns as the season becomes established. We need more Covid ravaged teams.
I could be completely wrong about this and the numbers dont back it up at all, but I feel like Portland always plays GS tough over the years. But most of that was in Oakland, so I don't know how moving to the burbs factors in either.
But yeah, GS keeps covering and the books aren't really adjusting the lines much. Seems like everyone thinks it is a fluke and are just waiting for the other shoe to drop.
The lakers ineptitude the books have very much caught on to. There isn’t much public basketball money in November, and I am guessing the sharps were destroying the books fading the lakers and they just had to lower the lines accordingly.
Dark times indeed when they are a home dog playing mediocre teams, but it is what it is.
