Today is 4-17-18 Plays in MLB


Last night we dropped two units on The awful White Sox so lets just jump back in today and see if we can get back on track.

My first Totals wager for the year comes in Milwaukee where the Awful Reds face off against the Banged up Brewers . This line has been screwy since the opening bell Where you could get over 8.5 Juiced at -125 even -130 at some shops. Now all of a sudden its taken major swings back at 9 from -115 to -105 . I am locking in at this price / Over 9 runs at -105 . These two teams have put up a lot of runs in the past year against each other I see no reason this game will be any different .



Game 2 for me tonight will be Philadelphia at Atlanta : The young Phillies vs the young Braves. The Braves have won all 4 meetings this year so far but tonight the Phillies have what has been there best pitcher this year so far . Nick Pivetta takes the dirt pile and the Phils are in need of a win in many ways in this spot tonight. While most of the Phillies wins have come against inferior teams they need to prove that they can hang with teams that are as good or better then they are. Phillies bats got silenced last night for the most part and I do not see that trend here tonight . Take the Phillies at -105 and plummeting .


Game 3 will be a Longshot special but we talked Friday about streaks and here is a qualifier . Ill be riding the Seattle Mariners tonight at a Healthy +155. Why do you ask ? Astros are off to a slow start . Astros Ace got beat last night in Seattle. Astros are on a 3 game losing streak which 2 of those losses came to Horrible Texas. Now they find themselves in the Pacific Northwest against a decent Seattle team . Public is going to say no way Astros lose 4 in a row . But this is Baseball and I say at +155 I'm riding a hot Mariners Team at Home.

This is a pickem matchup with enormous public money. The expression used to describe such games in the Stupity Wagering thread is, Public As Fuck.

Two of the highest scoring offenses. Two pitchers who are dealing. Price was filthy his first 2 games. Was a knucklehead in 38 degree weather. I poke fun at the soft southern black child but we throw that last start out.

All day you take Sawks in this spot. This line is there to attract action on the unloveable Sawks.

I want Ohtani to pitch a perfect game and Price to finally tear a UCL but I have to click on the Sawks box.

Love your work and everyone has their niche that they’re comfortable with but I thought this was a dramatic example of A vs A.

San Francisco (Cueto) at Arizona (Corbin) under 8 -115

Both pitchers have looked excellent so far, though Cueto has a sore ankle, so beware of that.

Still believe this is going under.

Evaluating the Angels game. May go along with Sanlmar on that one.

Especially when it's against Ohtani, with whom he clearly has a man crush.

Betts is playing tonight. That was questionable until very recently.

Price had that weird hand numbness which caused him to give up 4 runs in 1 inning and then miss a start, but he's back. That's the one red flag.

The one bright side is that Price suffered the same in a previous year, and he recovered quickly without issue.

So yeah, I'll take the +151.

FYI the public is with the Angels on this one, and Vegas books are also of the opinion that the Angels will win, judging from line movement patterns. So that last part is kind of a red flag, but it's not a Trapper John situation, since this isn't the public side, nor was the opening line made to appeal to our side.

I have inside sources at the Red Sox that tell me the real cause behind David Price having numbness in his throwing hand is a torn Labia. Guy is a giant fucking pussy in cold weather.

I said I'd sit this one out so that's what I'm going to do but I'm very interested in this game. I think we learn a lot tonight.

As much as the Halos must love a Tuesday night shut out of this kid comes out in 7 days and pitches anything close to tonight again they should send him to AAA.

I wanted to check out Ohtani, but I had to work late and by the time I got home he had already been yanked. I saw he pitched 2 inning and gave up 3 ER. Wonder why he was pulled so quick. 3 runs against such a potent offense isn't all that horrible a start, and seems like he could have been given a chance to settle down.

It wasn't pretty. 66 pitches through 2. He went 6-9pitches vs everyone he didn't give up a hit too. He threw about 40 fastballs and if the 40 only 25 of them looked like a major league pitch, the other 15 the bat never came off the shoulder. The other 26 non fastball pitches were the issue. I'm not sure he threw one for a strike. He looked like a high school kid.


Edit: reports hitting the broadcast they pulled him because of blisters.

Always a chance in Baseball. Mc Cullers is lights out though for Astros right now. Have to hope next guy out from pen can hold to keep it within reach.
