Another shitty slate
But
Smash CWS any way you can. Team total, run line side
Oakland just did a pitching change with a chump Blackburn vs Lance Lynn
It’s off my book so something’s up….
Same with Dodgers pitcher… this is stupid for a league that is partnering with gambling sites.
Seattle taught me a lesson for challenging them and their surprising value this year.
Let's go back to a total.
Atlanta (Morton) at Miami (Luzardo) - OVER 7.5 -120
If two teams have been live scrimmaging for two days don’t you think there is going to be a gentleman’s agreement for the preseason game?
Patriots v Philly.
Lydia Ko - Not looking good. She had the physio working on her (Didn’t see it but the broadcast mentioned it). She will have to go low tommorrow. Course took rain and today was very getable. Tough spot after the two straight T2 finishes. If I could do it over I would still have to bet her, but prob bet half the usual.
Horsfield - This is the one that would make it a great week regardless. He did what he had to do today without his best stuff. Birdied 3 of the 4 Par 5’s and added another birdie with no bogeys. So got to be happy with the position after Day 1. Got other contenders in the mix which isn’t exactly what you want. All and all a good Day 1. This is a great spot for him to steal one in a weak field.
Ko - Yeah she’s ready to miss the cut and win next week after you stop betting her.
Horsfield - nothing to add. If he’s the chalk we think he is he shoots -4 again tomorrow and is top 5 heading into the weekend
Rory - thought we could just rip up the tickets but he does a story thing and finishes with bird-bird-bird 15-16-17. Normally -1 wouldn’t be anything to be happy about but he’s in 19th with the leader effectively at -3 (fuck Varner). You know this asshole has a -6 in him at some point that’s just how he rolls. The question will be how the other two rounds look.
Could be better, but def could be worse.
Ducking hell bogey 18
5 birds
5 Bogies
See
Thats Rory for you.
At least we know he can go low if he wants.
To steal a line bones uses frequently…. JT and English starting off this well is really making my lunch taste bad.
Rahm just cruising along…no rust at all.
DJ has shown glimpses of finding his game. But he can’t seem to get the drive, approach and putter to work at the same time. He will get the drive straightened out and the approach is shitty and vice versa. Every time it looks like he has things back on track something goes wrong. I figured if he ever was going to find it, it would be here. Not yet.
To be fair, this has been his whole year since Sunday at the Genesis.

It’s sucks that Horsefield had another even par 2nd round. This has been a trend with him that unfortunately he didn’t buck this week. He got none of the par 5s today. This course is playing to a lot of pars but this has been a strange week for him. It’s very disappointing, but if things stay relatively compressed on the leader board we just have to wait and see if he can put a mid 60s round together tommorow and where we stand.
Would of been nice to just shoot a couple under. He has had low weekends so I am hoping he gets aggressive and they have more accessible pins for moving day.
Trying to take it in stride but it is a deflating round for sure. I loved him this week.
Lydia Ko needs to wake her ass up during this back 9. She is single-handedly killing my Draftkings entry this week.
Which big fave is most likely to suck a dick today?
Sawks
Jays
Braves
I could absolutely see Tony Finau winning this.
Course is Taylor made for his game. Only thing is he’s just like Oost except instead of always finishing second he always finishes sixth.
JT is the new Rory BTW
Good way to put it. Incredible how he finished up today. Most likely winners are Rahm & JT. Pretty tilting and I’m upset at myself for not dismissing DJ. I think you were right about his motivation. It’s so hard to tell with him because he almost always looks so apathetic. But it’s time for me to move on. If he finds his game it is what it is.
After being on JT for 2 straight events seeing him in this position is tough. He’s always a good outright bet because he seems to be in the mix or not. No real middle ground. The grinding middle ground is always the most tilting with the outright bets.
The Northern Trust appears to be a total bust for me. I’ll be routing for Tony but I won’t have any money on him.
Think at the end of the day it would of been as easy as firing the chalk on Rahm.
Yeah, I’ll go with the Jays.
I made some bets early last night. I was inspired to beat the lines. I don’t usually bet that way. Getting the best price is optimal but solely aiming to beat a closing line is a fools errand. I’m that fool with these tickets but these are unusual times. Guilty of wanting action, I guess.
I beat the Jays by 40 points.
I beat the Dodgers by 15 so far. I am surprised that is all. It’s Buehler and he gives you length and is the likely NL Cy Young guy now. Carrasco has cratered very quickly in his recent outings. 2 pump (innings) chump. Lengthy hamstring IL. Only 5 abbreviated outings this year. Did he get a papal blessing or something?
Now the Todgers had a bullpen day yesterday and a lot of relievers took the hill. Dodgers aren’t strong in that department to begin with. But it’s Buehler and he ought to limit shitpen exposure. It is all too simple a handicap to me and that is usually how one ends up broke.
Braves are flat since yesterday.
Now I am guilty of taking full games here. That is because my shitty book Betanysports is getting smarter by the day. Everything I loved about them is gone now. No 1st 5 team totals. They are not first to offer line like BOL. They are starting to shut off 1st 5 overnight.
Whether I’m being targeted or they are just getting killed by 1st 5 action generally, IDK.
I haven’t handicapped since last night and will look in a few minutes.
Seems like lots of value on the UFC underdogs this weekend.... (1 unit each)
Palatnikov +120
Bahamondes +125
Cherant +150
Nunes +130
Royval +150
I also got...
Kelleher -175
Saldana -125
Pichel -110
Cannonier -140

Mercifully DJ three putted to MC and we can settle this wager. Golf can make you look foolish pretty fast. Not proud of this one. +1800 odds seems to be a sucker pin sometimes. The chapter of me taking DJ in hopes he turns it all around is over. He will win again, maybe sooner than later. But I am not going to have him.
The other two we are going to need a big Saturday from at least one of them and no one to run away in front of them.
As for the Northern Trust, the oddsmakers are clearly tempting people to try and beat Rahm. A lot of guys played well today. Think I’m inclined to just steer clear of this one at this point. The odds are pretty decent on most of the guys behind him and it’s tough to take Rahm at his current price.
@Pipes
We’ve swapped spit with Wacha Wacha this year.
Here’s a Wacha hate bet.
CWS (Giolito) vs Rays (Wacha)
Chicago White Sox team total over 4˝ -108 for Game
I’m too big a pussy to bet against them cause I don’t want to constantly wonder if that dark sedan out front is one of Pipe’s associates.

Funny I said +1800 is a sucker pin sometimes but I just keep coming back to this one. High variance play, but I believe it’s an overlay at +1800. You know Brooks doesn’t give a shit about second place. I expect him to go for it. Stats over the first two days are good.
If we brick we will be basically even(down a bit). Plan is to have a better setup going forward and posting matchups/three balls and other lower variance plays. But for this week…. Let’s give Brooksy a shot. He was +2200 preflop. Where he sits for his price to still be close to that is nice.
He will have to play really well but whoever wins this will have to play well. Before Rahm got everything sorted out he had a habit of posting his worst rounds on Saturday. This play is price dependent. I see him at 18-1 in most places. Wouldn’t be worth it at much less than that.
GL
Jays totally squandered the game last night. Poor execution and some questionable decisions by the manager.
Now they need to go 9-1 next 10 IMO.
If Jays can’t hit a home run they don’t win. I don’t expect they will get another nickel of my money this year.
They marred an otherwise great night anchored by the Dodgers. I feel like such a whore… cause I am
I am destined for the 7th circle of hell after parlaying Dodger games. The books have got to be getting wrekt.
Trea Turner plays like no Dodger I can remember recently. Not even Mookie. Painful at 2nd base but Dodgers don’t care about defense.
It may be all I do today. Taking a look now.
Drawing live with Horsfield. Hopefully no one gets too far out in front. As usual he had that poor second round. I’m hoping this isn’t the week it will cost him. Leaders have tough holes ahead of them so let’s hope it stays compressed.
To look on the bright side, basically this course has no real birdie holes after 12. So in general, this puts more stress on the last few groups/leaders. So being in the third to last 3 ball isn’t a bad thing at all.
I am officially Lydia’s 3K simp. If she played the front nine like she has the back….If’s and nuts.
Live horse is Horsfield.
Good morning all
