I forgot to post and didn’t want to jinx it after the round started. I bet Cam Smith +230 to win his group today. McIlroy is a notoriously slow starter and Cam Smith is #1 in first round scoring. Patrick Reed was the wild card. But +230 was a great number.
It was comfortable most of the day. Close late but won by a shot.
I also had Finua even money. Also comfortable all day until he inexplicably doubles 18 and ties for split odds. Better than a loss but still hurt.
Nonetheless I love Finua tomorrow at anything +money. And will likely flip to McIlroy tomorrow at any good +money.

I’ll be routing for you brother. The lack of wind this week and the slower more receptive greens has leant itself to the pure ball strikers like Louie, Morrikawa and even seeing what Conners did today. All great iron players and ball strikers in general.
You never know with Rahm. The leaders basically stood still today. As can be said in Golf every round, he could of got more out of it. At the same time he did fight his way back in on the back 9 for an outside chance (+1600).
The future bets I was stuck with on DJ were a real gut punch, because he just needed to shoot around even or just under to still be somewhat in the mix. It was a missed opportunity for a lot of guys that were 4,5 or 6 back to really climb up the board.
I think the R & A really went out of there way to put the pins in tough areas and we had more of a merry-go-round day on what is traditionally a moving day.
I will likely not make a play. The winner will most likely be Louie /Morikawa but not going to take them at the odds. Jordan is a bit tempting at +550 thanks to the two bogeys to finish.(He was favored in the live odds when he tied Louie). I think my most likely bet, if I make one would be a small one on Conners at 25-1.
