BOL is becoming more like Bovada every day.
A once proud brand. I was a shameless shill and now I am entitled to trash.
I am not entitled trash, lol wow.
Those who want RHE bets, they also exist on Bovada and Betanysports.
Betanysports is former 5Dimes (think Bovada when Bodog left the US market, similar thing), and they seem pretty reliable. But they're somewhat "new" so take that with a grain of salt.
Given that these lines move easily when people bet them (and the sharps are pretty good at finding the good RHE bets early), it's helpful to have a few books which accept these, and of course go with the best lines.
BOL seems most action-sensitive with RHE bets. Even a single $250 RHE bet can move the line greatly.
On Betanysports, you can find RHE bets under "MLB Game Props". On Bovada, it's on the dropdown near the top, and you select "Total Runs, Hits, and Errors".
Okay, so lets look at NBA tonight.
MiCon (that is, Michael Conley) is out. Serge Ibaka also out.
I think the Clippers win this one OUTRIGHT.
I've been light on the NBA playoff betting, as I already explained before the postseason started, but I like the Clips tonight.
Clippers +130 at Utah (+3 ok)
Well, that's what I get for opposing the sharps (and backing the awful Rockies).
I was mesmerized by the +170 against the Marlins, what can I say? Also, Senzatela has looked good in his last few starts -- far better than his overall numbers indicate.
They started off 1-0, but now trail 4-1. I don't see them coming back from it. Oops.
On the plus side, Detroit has broken out to a 3-0 lead in the first, and the Orioles just erased a 2-0 deficit, and now lead 3-2.
I had LAD PIT no runs first inning tonight...
I might have to pull a costanza and leave on a high note and never bet on another sporting event ever again...
For those who don’t get the joke
I am aware NRFI’s are a lifestyle choice this year
Gonna have to stay away from Carlos Martinez in the future, except when betting overs or against him. He's been awful the past 2 starts, including this one.
I took a bit of a risk on an RHE bet with him, but I knew Bieber was gold, and I thought Carlos would at least be solid enough to keep RHE under 24.5.
Well, Bieber has been fairly good so far (0 R, 2H in 2.3 innings), but Carlos has given up 5 runs and 7 hits through 3, so that's a disaster. So unless it's 10 RHE the rest of the way (which isn't likely), this one's a loser for me.
On the bright side, Baltimore is blowing out the Mets 8-2, Detroit still up by 3. Marlins probably going to get by Colorado, currently up 4-2 in the 7th.
Buehler going 7 is allowing me to unclench my sphincter.
No bullpen
Complete game shutout? I’ll risk it vs the pen.
FML... Machine Gun Kelly. badguy would go for a walk in this spot. If I had any cash available I’d be betting 8th inning 3-way or live total
Sparking 7.00 ERA.
I can’t listen to this homosexual Joe Davis. He is a blind homer. He brings nothing.
I’ll gladly settle for 4 batters and 1 allowed by Kelly. That’s a good outing for him.
Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... He’s worse than even I describe.
Pittsburgh announcers literally said, “Buehler looks nervous”. You guys should see me.
You think 8th inning 3-way was +275 Pitts. I didn’t even look. An easy smash and grab.
Who is Nate Jones. 1 pinch / 1 run. That’s who. Good closer Druff. No better solution than Kenley Jansen. He actually looks good compared to this motley crew.
Last place Pirates with a negative differential. Still too much for this bullpen.
badguy would prescribe Fentanyl.
5-3. Oh, why not make it a save opportunity. We’ve come this far. Pirates so powerful. Bring on Jansen. Testing my shower rod for strength.
We knew this bullpen would be trouble at 4pm but you still can never fully prepare for the awfulness
I hope everyone is watching Avs vs Vegas.
Insane action. Both teams playing like it’s game 7.
Any thoughts?
I thought my futures closed at 11pm. I’m gonna buy some Astros in the morning.
Is over 4.5 +145 insane? They are gonna pull out all the stops
Bieber was good. Carlos Martinez was trash, as was the Cards bullpen. It was actually 23 RHE going into the 9th, so I had a small chance to still win. But nope.
Detroit almost fucked up a 5-1 lead, being Detroit and all, but they held on. So I went 2-2 today in MLB, with a slight loss because Detroit was -126.
Clips looking good so far.
I had taken Detry at +1000 going into the final round last week on the Euro Tour. I’m glad I didn’t post it. He came in tied for 2nd and lost to a guy who was destined to win at a big number sooner or later, Armitage. Armitage shot 7 under and it was all over. Detry & Pieters are two young Belgium guys who have beautiful swings and just can’t seem to break through.
Kicking myself for not taking Larson on the road course +850. Figured too much could go wrong. It didn’t. Not going to be much value on him going forward. He’s the top driver with the top team right now.
As for the PGA this week, this is a tough venue. I put some money on Brooks at 10-1. I see him around 8-1 in most places. I have concerns. He is in the late wave and I can see if he doesn’t play great to start him taking a quick jet out of there after the morning wave Friday. But if he plays well and sticks around, you know he will be playing to win. I wouldn’t take him at less than 9-1.
Trendy pick, but I had to put a few bucks on Higgo at 50-1. The courses he won on in the Euro Tour are not even close to what he’s dealing with here. But I don’t want to miss the boat if he really is becoming a special player.
I have SY Kim at 9-1 on the LPGA. She’s won here before and I just feel likes it’s time.
I took today off after that Clippers collapse.
Boy that team just perpetually has found a way to lose.
NHL
Avs/Vegas over 1.5 first period -103
It is 3-2 in the series, and Avs have their backs up against the wall. I fully expect them to come out guns blazing. You could also go with Avs first period ml for +105 if you would prefer.
Jays -115
I'll take Ryu at -115. Keuchel gives up runs and ideally the Jays knock him out by the 4th or 5th.
Enjoy your early weekend Brooks. Gas up the jet. JFC.
It’s prolly a bargain too. There seem to be a lot of folks who haven’t gotten a newspaper in a week or two and don’t know that the ChiSox vs lefty gravy train is no longer running.
Trust me, I have first hand experience giving back some of that ATM $ back. Was a god run and a good run too.
I’m out of touch with the Jays and Ryu. Just have zero feel. New ballpark and I got some questions I’d like to ask about the sticky icky and ex-Dodger Ryu.
These are the bets to avoid on Thursday Jun 10
3rd Period do or die playoff hockey live total overs if you are a serious person. Can’t push the buttons for you on the ATM.
Tarp time for you weather fans Dodgers Pirates.
Smash the over 11 if it’s not too late
Shitty bullpens - no depth either side- and 2 men on. Pirates trailing and get their ups.
Edit
Game cancelled (8th inn). Bet cancelled. Freeroll
Last minute
Miami (T Rogers) vs. Colorado (C Gonzalez) - Under 7.5 -115
Also last minute:
NBA
Brooklyn vs. Milwaukee - Over 234
When I bet these two, I didn't picture:
- The Marlins scoring 6 runs early
- The Nets scoring 9 points in the first 9:40
:fail
Where can I bet $1k that TB will have an undefeated season and win the SB?
Big +195 win and a rainout gave me a clean push for the night.
+325 for the Dodgers and Kershaw? This is rising faster than AMC. Similarly nonsensical.
Dodgers are the least profitable ML team last I looked. You don’t even need to look. You knew in your heart. Stupid Kershaw lines are back in vogue. Love it.
You can measure the decline in spin rates now league wide. You can measure a 7% increase in ERA’s from earlier this year too.
LA is “Spin City” and the cops are waiting behind the bushes. He is allegedly a Hall of Farmer per west coast writers so the sketchy MLB might turn a blind eye. There is definitely a Kershaw fade somewhere to be had - even agin the wretched Rangers.
Team total over 2½ -115 Rangers is the obvious angle and obvious just might be the way to go.
Otherwise, today is a chalk parlay day. Brewers Woodruff & Reds Mahle plus Hockey Tampa (city of champions & nickyballs) in any combination you choose. Skipping Icky DeGrom, myself.
I like Baltimore 1st 5 +130. I mixed in a parlay for +357. Baltimore is underrated. Take a shot.
Last minute:
Washington (Scherzer) vs. San Francisco (DeSclafani) - Under 24 RHE -125
Second time this has happened to me on an RHE bet. Which is pretty crappy because this is fairly uncommon where an ace starter feels fine coming in, and then exits without finishing the first inning.
In the previous instance, the bullpen got clobbered and I lost my bet. Here it hasn't been that bad, and it helps that DeSclafani has thrown 3 innings of no-hit baseball.
I loved the 24 here given that both pitchers have been excellent this year, minus that one outlier start where DeScalfani got hammered for 10 runs against the Dodgers.
It was a great idea and has worked out beautifully despite the surprise.
I never thought of it and saw your post too late.
I’m gonna have to sweat S.F. With a slim lead and you get to move on with life and a few more bucks - or you can tail my Rangers 2.5 team total.
I almost missed it, too. Game started 4:05, and I didn't try placing the bet until moments before the game. BOL makes you wait 61 seconds between bets, and that was too much. Game started and it was off the board. So I only got down a little more than half I wanted to, due to maximums per bet there. Better than nothing, I guess.
It wasn't on Betanysports at all, for some reason. They seemingly randomly pick the ones they'll put up for so-called "game props".
Starting very soon:
St. Louis (Gant) at Cubs (Hendricks) - Under 8.5 -105
Nice evening at Wrigley... 74 degrees, 6mph win blowing in... if you can trust Gant not to blow up again, this one should come in.
Euro A Otaegui 8-1
No more RHE bets or unders on struggling pitchers.
Here's a better one.
Seattle (Gilbert) at Cleveland (Bieber) - Under 24 RHE -115
Gilbert had a horrendous start to the season, but in his last 3 starts spanning 15 innings, he's given up just 5 runs and 11 hits total.
The Padres have lost 4 in a row, but they will end today with a win.
San Diego (Paddack) -120 at Mets (Lucchesi)
Took a taste of this
There will be two way action here. So tread with care although it’s small limits anyway. Beiber like Bauer got his SpiderTack in bulk. He’s regressed a bit. Cleveland is always offensively challenged so it’s not a bad look overall.
Absolutely fascinating trying to game this shit. Baseball Savant gave you live Bauer spin rate last night. Good stuff if you like solving puzzles
