the hendricks deal is strange. his new nutritionist is some Louis something guy who does Loutrition. the idea seems to be that johny is gonna stay around 185, 190 all the time outside of fight camps, and has been right around 170 all week, even waking up on weigh-in day at like 168. They aren't cutting any weight at all, ever, pretty much. Downside of not cutting is johny will be the smaller guy in every singe fight from this point out, or at least until he ditches this guy so he can have cake and steak and ice cream in the offseason.
I was listening to an interview with this lou guy, and its so funny because he seems to care just as much about arguing about Dolce as anything else. I'm not exactly a dolce nuthugger, but it wasn't Dolce's fault that johny kept coming into his camps heavier and heavier every time he had a fight, and he was making weight with Dolce (the time he had to weigh in twice, seems like everyone agrees that was a hotel scale problem, and he made weight anyway an hour later anyway). Same deal as Kelvin Gastellum, IMO. You hire a guy, you love his results, but you think he's too expensive and you can do it yourself, except you go out and prove you can't, you lose fights, your body shuts down, you ruin any progress you had been making in your career, and you end up with a fraction of the pay you would have had if you stayed the course and kept Dolce and made weight.
Unless you are frankie edgar, I think pretty much everyone else who has tried the "fight at regular weight without cutting" quickly finds out the bigger fighter is almost always stronger and more powerful. Hendricks may win because Wonderboy ain't exactly a grappling champ and the weight might not matter too much in this fight, but it will. Very soon. 155ers fight heavier than Johny is right now.
Is this the first UFC death?
Scumbags won't show the doctors working on the guy in the cage.
UFC awards were, I think, last night, in Vegas.
This was Conor McGregor's acceptance video for an award. He had something special to say about Verdum for pulling out of a fight.

I decided to put some action on Thompson because Hendricks has arguably the worst training program I've ever heard of. It's 100% possible that everything I've seen him talking about and doing is misinformation, in which case gg Hendricks, you got me, but jesus christ he's literally strength training with Tough Man fags.
Also Koons went from +145 to +115 so at least I got in on the right side of that line.
Scoggins as a meme:
Holy fuck Scoggins must be delusional or just figured out how to get noticed. Probably the latter.
I have absolutely no idea what Noons is doing or why he even bothered to show up.
1 - 1 I guess but the biggest loser here is the audience.
I've seen better fights at bus stops.
Interesting, I'm surprised everyone on earth gave rd 3 to Burkman. Rd 2 not so much but what did Burkman do in rd3 except 1 takedown at 4:30 that he never capitalized on?
Noons needs to be cut, and Im betting on virtually anyone who faces Burkman next.
Swear to god I thought to myself "guy needs a mullet bonus" a whole round before Stann said do.
OSP is winning a fight with one leg.
How the fuck do you score this shit?
Its going to be Nelson by moving forward, aka pressure. All those exchanges where the other fatboy runs away puts him further behind on the cards.
