Dumbass! Trump is attacking Amazon because Bezos owns the Washington Post, which is doing its journalistic dity in exposing the criminal nature of Trump’s business dealings, as well as the utter incompetence and corruption of his administration.

Yeah I mentioned this before and if that is Trump's motivation then obv fuck that like all the other corrupt bullshit he does. But about the local taxes, if that's even what he's talking about, he's right. I also don't get why he mentioned the Postal Service.
guys just so we are clear; the guy with the nuclear launch codes thinks that 'free shipping' means no one pays USPS.
Trump is probably right to some extent.
But in our system there is nothing wrong with taking advantage of tax codes and business laws and inefficiencies in the current system to increase your companies profit line. In fact, from what I understand he has done it himself a lot with his businesses by strategically declaring bankruptcy several times to avoid paying investors and taxes.
I think there might actually be a legitimate concern companies like Amazon are too big and having too much power and doing more harm to our economy than good. But unfortunately Trump clumsily going after Bezos the way he has will actually make it harder to intelligently address this issue.
literally i assume everyone understands that the issue is where are you vermit on being a vermitarrd though i havent seen food reviews from u i havent heardddddddddddd about thai tapas bars what is going on here kid
Why is Amazon too big? Too big for whom? They provide a service - it's not free to get their service. If you don't want it don't pay for it. Walmart - too big? Don't shop there. Trump's small dick is upset that his companies provide an accommodate or luxury that people don't want. NOT only because His name is on it.
C-Money, what's your take? You got my $$$?
I had an electric/gas company that monopolizes my state. I provided my house with geothermal heating/cooling but yet they want to charge me just as much as a normal house in the ghetto of Milwaukee needs. It wasn't going to happen...we went through legal challenges but it worked well in our favor and anyone that wants to switch. Those are the companies that our American people need to be weary of.
Obv you have zero reason to worry about current tariffs. But in the areas where ag is the economic base those who live there are asking for tariffs to not exist.
If you disagree with those trump voters that depend on ag income from exports to China so be it, just don't post as if you can't realize or understand their position.

Im gonna have to stop posting in this thread tho. The dems can't compete with me and I can't keep giving them a clue
I agree with hongkonger’s comment abouy Trump being correct about Amazon definitely benefiting from lax state laws regarding sales tax collection. But his attacks on the US Postal Service losing money on Amazon deliveries is probably his clumsy way of adding to the right-wing attack on the *public* management of that service. GOPers wants to privatize the USPS and they need a lot of additional public support to do so. Perhaps Trump can get his idiot supporters to agree to support pols who would do so.
But the....
SOOOOYYYYYYYY!!!!
don’t know enough about the tariffs to have an opinion on whether they’re a good idea though i am highly skeptical on anything bernie sanders thinks is good economic policy
like 80% chance trump never follows through though as its all red state voters that would get hurt in advance of the midterms
You don't think something similar to this is going to happen when Amazon monopolizes everything?
In the meantime, the concern is that they control so much of the market they are forcing wholesalers and producers to sell to them at very low margins. And on the employment front they are hiring a bunch of people at poverty wages with no insurance and taking out of business companies, especially small family operations, that pay decent wages with insurance. That is how these things work. The bigger companies get the worse it gets for everyone but a very select few who profit immensely at the expense of everyone else, even if you think it is benefitting you in the short term saving a couple bucks buying your kids Christmas presents.
I can't take the moral high ground, because I buy shit at Walmart and Amazon too, but there is a pretty big track record that companies getting too big is very bad for most of us, which is why we have laws protecting against monopolies in the first place, and if you think this case is going to be any different you are very naive.
