Pretty sad for Bulls to dominate the end of the 3rd and beginning of the 4th like that, coming back to go up 6, and then fall apart in the final 2 minutes.
Denver has killed me lately... lost all 3 picks involving them in the past week -- one spread (on them), two moneyline (against them). At least the spread lost, too (it was Denver -4).
On the plus side, I continue to pick the totals well, as the Spurs are going to go under unless it goes OT.
Super unlucky last 2 days.
First that Washington +185 loses when they step out of bounds with 12s left yesterday.
Then the Bulls can't close it out and lose a close one.
And now the worst one... Brooklyn up 104-93 in a lock under, and they let it get away, with a buzzer-beater tying it 108-108 in regulation. Now my only shot is a low scoring OT, which probably won't happen.
:gay2
Getting back on the Sei Young Kim bandwagon this weekend at the LPGA in Ocala, Florida at 9:1. She got hot on her back nine in the final round last weekend and hopefully it keeps going down the road. Also finished 3rd at this course in an event in 2016 before she became the winning money machine she is.
Throwing away another $20 on Yaelimi Noh at 70:1 just for laughs.
GL to all.
Took WVU +3.5 when they were down 1, let’s see if they can hang on
Starting at 4:05 PT
Memphis at Washington - Over 238.5
More later
Wizards -1
I bet so many unders that, for a second, I was disappointed to look and see 28 points scored in the first 4.5 minutes. Then I remembered I'm rooting for more points, not fewer points.
I should be 7-1 in my last 8 totals picks. I'm 6-2 because of that stupid OT yesterday.
Anyway, here's two more:
San Antonio vs. New York - Under 214
Milwaukee vs. Denver - Under 234
FYI the San Antonio game has a ton of missing players.
San Antonio: Aldridge, White, Weatherspoon, Vassell, Gay
New York: Rose, Payton, Gibson, Robinson
Damn 3rd quarter fucked up my Washington over. Ended up losing by 2.5, in a 125-111 final. Ugly.
On the bright side, I won the NY under, despite King of Trash Time Immanuel Quickley doing his best to fuck me in the final minutes. Final score 119-93.
Need to fade about 30 points in the final 5 min in a blowout Nuggets/Bucks game, to go 2-1. I like my chances.
NBA has slipped a bit since my peak on February 10th. However, I'm still up 5 units, down from a peak of 9.45.
Record on 2/10: 48-42-2 (+9.45 units)
2/11: 1-2 (-1.09 units)
2/12: 0-3 (-3.00 units)
2/15: 1-1 (+0.70 units)
2/18: 0-1 (-1.00 units)
2/19: 1-1 (-0.09 units)
2/20: 0-1 (-1.00 units)
2/21: 1-1 (-0.09 units)
2/23: 2-2 (-0.18 units)
2/24: 1-2 (-0.85 units)
2/25: 1-2 (-1.09 units)
2/26: 4-1 (+3.88 units)
2/27: 2-2 (-0.18 units)
2/28: 2-2 (-0.18 units)
3/01: 1-2 (-1.09 units)
3/02: 2-1 (+0.82 units)
TOTAL 2/11-3/02: 19-24 (-4.44 units)
GRAND TOTAL: 67-66-2 (+5.01 units)
Here's some picks already.
Still watching Detroit as a possible moneyline pick. Jerami Grant is questionable. If he plays, I'm probably firing on them.
Orlando +120 vs. Atlanta (Reddish out, Capela questionable, Ennis out, Fournier questionable)
Orlando vs. Atlanta - Under 219
Charlotte -3 at Minnesota
Dallas vs. Oklahoma City - Under 220 (Doncic doubtful)
Lakers at Sacramento - Under 223.5 (Lebron out, Davis still out, Gasol out, Kuzma questionable, Caruso questionable, Hield questionable, Parker questionable, Whiteside out, Woodard out)
And another. This is the most picks I've made this season in a day. If I make one more, it will be an all time record for number of picks in a day.
Charlotte vs. Minnesota - Over 234.5
Jerami Grant now listed as "doubtful", which makes sense because the Pistons aren't contending, and there's no point to risk worsening what is a moderate quad injury at the moment.
They may just leave him shut down through the All Star break. I had a feeling this would happen, which is why I didn't fire Detroit, despite liking them a lot if he played.
Druff you're really taking over this thread, do you need your own thread? Be careful or you will be canceled
Raptors/Detroit under 212.5
I could see Detroit winning, or Raptors pulling it off short handed. But what I can't see is a lot of points.
Taking Hornets at -2.5
Daly or JeffDime --
any love for Tyrrell Hatton this week? can get him at +2050
Mid-evening checkup:
Charlotte over: Looked great after 1 (69 points), not good in late 2nd (35 points in 10.5 min)
Charlotte -3: Decent (55-49 in late 2nd)
Orlando moneyline: Great (up 17 at half)
Orlando under: Good (105 points in first half, in game which isn't close)
OKC under: Good (48 points first qtr)
Lakers under: Not started yet
I’ll also take Lakers under, Dan Druff is very good at O/U
All 5 of my running games are live right now.
gogogo
2-1 so far, but Orlando just crapped the bed in a big way and now are down 1, after being up 17 at the half.
26s left. Under already dead.
Edit: Vucevic hits a shot, now 112-111 ORL
HOLLLLLLLLLLLLLD
Ugh. Fouled Young with 8s, he hits both of course. If I had the Hawks here, 100% he misses both.
8s for Magic to take the final shot. I don't have a lot of faith in this shit team closing things out.
Dallas under 100% will hit unless there's OT, btw (and still might hold even then).
Also how bad is Sac that they're losing by 12 already to a Lakers team with no Lebron, Kuzma, or Davis
:sfcalledit
Ross misses, game over.
:fail
Gonna be up to the Lakers to keep the score low so I can go 4-2 instead of 3-3. I'm claiming the Dallas/OKC under win already, being a 20 point game with 7 min left, and only 148 scored.
please change name of thread to "Druff's NBA play by play thread"
k
thx
Disappointing the way it shook out. Orlando blew a huge halftime lead, the Orlando under also fell as a result of that, and the Lakers/Sac somehow scored 70 in the 2nd, killing that under.
Had to settle for 3-3.
Lakers under was a bust! Didn’t watch as I fell asleep around tip off, but an ugly loss!
Tonight I really like OK STATE +12, they are the most underrated team in the country. They actually played Baylor tough for a half the first time around without their best player. Second half not so much! Baylor played a tough game at WVU this week that went to OT, and crushed my live play on WVU in very sick fashion. Baylor looked and played great, but I see this being a close game. OKSTATE +603 moneyline right now is attractive for a small bet. Baylor should prob walk away winners but that seems really high. Maybe I’m missing something.
Today playing a bunch of nba overs.
Clippers vs wiz over 236
Warriors vs Suns over 220.5
Kings vs Blazers over 236.5
Heat vs Pelicans over 228
Knicks under autobet is low at 207 so staying away (now will probably hit)
If I had to pick sides I'd probably go Pelicans -2.5 and Blazers -4.5
Might be some value on Grizzlies ml (+218) or +170 first half
Going to agree with Matos on this one:
Clippers at Washington - Over 236
Also I'm going to throw in a ploppy pick:
Milwaukee -6.5 at Memphis
Maybe more later.
Throwing in another, also agreeing with Matos (though I don't think he's firing it):
Detroit at New York - Under 207 (206.5 ok)
So I'm also looking at Matos' Miami/New Orleans over.
It's moved to 229.5 from 228. I considered it earlier but passed because of Butler and Adebayo being questionable. If Butler plays, I'll probably fire on it. I'm watching.
Warriors/Suns under 221
Raps/Celtics under 220.5
Portland over 120.5 points
I'll try not to make 50 posts today about the status of my bets, but this is a disappointing start to the day.
Clips/Wash have 115 at halftime, which isn't what I was hoping for. The game is within 7 points, so hopefully it stays close.
The NY/Det under is not looking good, with 60 1st quarter points. Matos was right to stay away given the scary 207 line.
When I want OT, I can't get it. When I don't want OT, I'm a magnet to it.
Clippers over about to go down in flames.
Knicks under looked dead, but weak 4th quarter scoring has brought it back to life. I deserve this one.
