Well, now that I am going to lose twice with Houston, and am praying for Utah to hold on and basically not do the same late-4th bedshit as Atlanta, I am going to reveal what led me to make that Houston pick.
I subscribe to a service which gives me various NBA stats. They also have a tout service based upon these stats, which I do not subscribe to. It makes far fewer picks than I do, and has a comparable record.
Today a glitch on their site revealed that Houston was their pick, so I decided to believe them and go with it. Prior to this, I had looked at betting Houston but decided against it (that is, I was a little more on the side of Houston covering, but not enough to pick/bet it).
Thanks to this glitch, I'm going to lose twice -- including to a bet which was big time -EV for the guy making it against me.
