God I love Stars
Not playing any TCOOP events, Tyde?
They're a bit of a lotto with them being turbos, but some crazy fat prize pools and tons of bad play involved.
Playing the sats is also profitable. So many idiots with no idea how to close them out.
out of the 162
missed my draw what can I say
go LARGE or go home
So how much did you lose today?
Most of the time AK/AQ is going to jam there instead of three bet. A three bet is screaming large pocket pair. He wants somebody to come over the top.
Probably should give the $162 buy-in players a tighter range than the smaller rebuy type players.
If you really hope you are up against AK/AQ you should probably jam in that position (Fold > Jam > Call).
You know I am still a huge fan just trying to get you to think through the play a bit more.
Cold calling a 3 bet from a 23bb stack CO raiser after utg open is really bad, you don't have odds to set mine, you're oop and have only 30bb. To then call it off is proper butchering it as 55's is in terrible shape against these ranges.
lol at broke nerds giving tyde game theory advice btw.
Don't mind Abrown, he's been busy making real money lately, Hasn't had a lot of time to study his poker. Confirm or deny.
Trying to explain proper play in a high buyin online tournament to a guy who just flat called a three bet with a low pocket pair then calls 2 allins, early in a tournament... I don't know who's more retarded, the logical one (you) for trying to explain he's a dumbass or him... Let him keep playing, for our sake hopefully he knocks off one of those $3r's before he bust himself playing these high buyins he has no business in and we can keep this train going
you are fucking retarded.
0% chance you are profitable at poker.
i know you'll argue that you've got a lifetime roi on stars via opr but seriously you fucking suck and not indicative of a lifetime winning player, eventually variance will even you out, so on and so forth........
great entertainment value tho so carry on going busto
loooooooool
Look where are we at with the Cabo boat? Because this nigga here is your first customer and I'm already pricing plane tickets.
Tyde, serious question... What kind of fishing boat can you get for let's say $10-12k in Mexico?
Last thing you ever want to happen is to break down, or worse, miles off the coast of Mexico. That could get ugly real quick.
UGH. two words:
NEGATIVE NANCY.
LOL... Just lookin' out for my boy.
Not a decision that you just jump into. Obv this is tougher than buying a car as there can be even more underlying problems with a boat that most people won't catch until it's way too late.
Fist bit of advice... Never buy a dry docked boat without seeing it in the water for a minimum of a day. The seals alone on the inboard/outboard can be a big issue. I would definitely stay with something that has preferably two outboard motors, which a lot of fishing boats have. Really that is the best advice I can give right off the bat. Outboard motors for sure.
Tyde does have experience from being a merchant marine though, so I'm sure he is ahead of the curve here.
Pooh seems to have a penchant for taking hard, negative lines whenever possible.
Truly comes off as a miserable human being despite having oodles of wealth. Probably the most miserable person on this site.
Not can be... Are! There is no getting around it, even when you buy new.
Honestly I have had a lot of fun with mine, but owning a boat is definitely a rich mans game. I have no regrets about buying my boat, but I can definitely say it would have been much more fiscally responsible on my part just to rent one when I felt like going out over the years. My biggest problem has been there is just never enough time, and scheduling is tough. Vegas gets very windy in the summer, and wind and water with a boat do not mix, especially when you're the one doing all the work. So, even a lot of times when I have the time to go out, the wind fucks it all up for me.
vegas1369, maybe you can answer a boat question for me.
In the spring, I took Benjamin and his mom out on Lake Mead. I rented a boat there for an hourly rate.
Unfortunately, while I was out on the lake, I kept hearing a LOUD, high-pitched beeping noise whenever I revved up the engine. Like, I'd start the engine, and at a seemingly random time (sometimes just as I would start speeding up, sometimes after I'd been moving for a few minutes), the beeps would start.
I could not figure out what was wrong. I decided it wasn't wise to ignore them, but I also didn't have enough time to return to dock and swap out boats, as closing time was nearing (we showed up like 2 hours before closing). So I tolerated it, slowed down when I heard the beeps, and Jewishly negotiated getting 50% back off the rental price because of it.
But what was going on? Any idea? Was I in danger of the boat breaking down or the engine exploding?
