WSOP stream not working.
Part of Daniel's strategy...
Kill the power, when play restarts Daniel starts to win again.
:ohh
Looks like Volpe won. You guys dodged a big bullet on that one.
nobody said it would be easy. its was still the right bet.
Did DN ever say how much in total was on the line for this bet?
I know they're degenerates but if he was playing to win OR lose a few million..jesus.
DN said on 2p2 podcast that he will have very little or possible zero of this bet. He only did it to help Ivey get action on the bet by promoting it on social media. He stated that he had zero action on last year's bet.Quote:

"Ivey late registered Event #15 after busting another tournament, and his stay was short. In Level 7 (200/400.50), he got his last ten big blinds in the middle from the small blind and his opponent in the big blind quickly made the call with JJ. Ivey needed to find some help for his K9s, but the board ran out (blank) and Ivey's tournament and massage came to an abrupt halt."
My guess would be that he is on the line for 10 to 20 percent while getting 20 to 35 percent of the winnings for escrowing and drumming up interest. That of course is a wild guess on my part. I will assume that he was truthful with David Tuchman when he said that his part if they won would be more than the $253K for 1st place in the 2-7NL tournament.
I don't understand fully how Ivey has millions to throw around. He did just win 4 mill in the $250k earlier this year, BUT he did go through a divorce + doesn't have Full Tilt money + is running Ivey Poker.
Has Ivey crushed the Asian businessmen games for millions? Or are they perma staking him/etc since they are billionaires?
This plus he is still sitting on all the money he got from Borgota before they cut him off and sued. I would also imagine that he is in talks to settle with the casino in England where they will pay him part of his winnings since I don't think their case holds up in court but he is enough of a gambler to hedge his bets if they offer a significant amount.
Fuck that is one flamboyant jacket.
Also, as a guy near Negreanu's age who is also losing hair, I have to say that baldness > hair that looks fake.
Does anyone know when the hair appeared?
Did it coincide with his involvement with Choice Center?
It wouldn't surprise me if some dumbass counselor at Choice Center convinced him that he lost confidence due to his lack of hair, and that restored hair would equal restored confidence.
Is it just me or does it seem like Ivey is playing like he doesnt give a shit?
A good place to look is his twitter media feed. https://twitter.com/RealKidPoker/media Has his video blogs in there too.
Lots of hats, but plenty of head shots too. here's his 1/2013 blog. Pilkingtonesque head here.

Good Ivey story in the WSOP updates feed.

Ivey may be out, but he's still the talk of the town
Over on Table 353, Mike Gorodinsky turned his chair around to get a massage and that made Nick Schulman think of a great Phil Ivey story.
"A few years ago, I was getting a massage at the table but I had no cash on me, so I asked Ivey if he could pay the lady for me," Schulman said. "So when the massage was over, he gives the lady a thousand bucks," to which the the entire table bursted out in laughter because it was just a 90-minute massage, according to Schulman.
"Ivey said, 'We're at a thousand now,'" citing than Schulman now owed Ivey $1,000, and the laughter continued.
"Now that's a great move," Brandon Cantu added with a laugh. "That's one of the funniest things I've ever heard."
"That for sure was a pro move," Schulman replied with a smile

he's 3/12 heading into today.
side note: I need PLOL and OSA to chime in here for a second. George Danzer. Discuss. You reckon he has a nightclub gig on the side as Georgina the Poker Queen?
Negreanu had a sizable chiplead (like 440-300) for much of the end of the day, and only slumped at the end to fall into 3rd.
It's pretty much a virtual tie for 2nd-4th, as it goes 369, 340 (Negreanu), 337. But David Bach, who seemingly shows up deep in every event he plays, is the leader with 565.
Coming into the final day with a large lead is a huge psychological advantage, and I'm glad that advantage goes to Bach rather than Daniel.
BTW, this was the third-smallest expected field, and indeed it got just 112 players. Negreanu seems to be thriving in these very small fields -- the events I call blue and purple. There are 6 more of these after this event is over, including the One Drop. I will try to do my part in one of them (the $10k limit) to prevent Negreanu from winning.
From twitter:
@philivey: Headed to the gym before #wsop 10k horse
@RealKidPoker: @philivey maybe go read a poker book or something? Working out makes you heavier so more for me to carry on my back :-)
@philivey: @RealKidPoker carrying me with all those second place finishes. If u put me down then maybe u can close one out.
Danile N just busted in 10th

Phil Ivey's tournament has come to an end here in Event #22: $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship. With no late tournament starting today at the World Series of Poker, he won't be back in action until tomorrow.
Phil Ivey US Busted
Good to hear !!!!
Daniel N. is 16th out of 21 remaining, heading into Day 3 of the $10k H.O.R.S.E. event. Resuming at 2pm Pacific time.
Omaha 8
Daniel Negreanu and Lee Goldman took a flop of {10-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} in a raised pot. Negreanu led out with a bet and Goldman instantly announced a raise. Negreanu three-bet all in for 11,000 more on top and Goldman called.
"I have a flush," said Negreanu.
"There's no flush," replied Goldman.
"It's coming."
While KidPoker's statement was met with laughter from the table, his prediction was incorrect. The board finished with the {Q-Spades} and the {J-Clubs}, failing to give him a flush and allowing Goldman to finish with a winning Broadway straight. Negreanu was eliminated in 18th place and Goldman now sits at 275,000 in chips.
I will be happy when these short field 10k events are over as DN seems dialed in and trying to snap off the gold
