Everything she says and does is cringe. She's got that phony, cackling laugh. She reeks of incompetence. Everyone knows it, including her own party. That's why she quickly fell out of favor in 2019.
She was a diversity pick. Biden knew he was running a close race, and wanted to assure turnout from females and minorities. By picking a half-black female, he checked those boxes.
Kamala wasn't even thought of as the heir apparent to the 2028 nomination. Whether Biden were to win or lose, the names being thrown around for 2028 were Whitmer, Newsom, Beshear, and Shapiro. Not Kamala. She was seen pretty much like a Dick Cheney -- someone never destined to ascend beyond VP. (On a side note, how is Cheney still alive, given his heart issues?)
Kamala is only being discussed now for two reasons:
1) She is the only one who would legally have access to the Biden campaign funds. Anyone else could not use them.
2) Picking someone over her would be messy. If Whitmer were chosen, it would make it look like a race thing. If a male were chosen, it would look like both a race and gender thing. The only one who could replace here would be Michelle Obama, but we see no indication Michelle wants it.
Kamala and Newsom actually have very similar paths and career histories:
- Both received appointments by kissing ass to Willie Brown, who was the most influential '90s politician in California. Kamala kissed more than his ass, of course.
- Both failed at everything they did, yet kept falling upward.
- Both now have a realistic shot at becoming President in the 2020s.
Pretty amazing.
But seriously... if you want to see examples of early incompetence, look for stories about Newsom as San Francisco Mayor, or of Kamala's time as DA. And much of this criticism was from fellow Democrats.
Every scenario is entertained except the reality of electing a felon to office. A sexual abuse conviction will typically see your job application rejected. A felony fraud conviction likewise.
Why change the subject? Your thinking is suspect if you put a convicted felon in high office.
Let’s try this. Elect a convicted felon as president but now allow him total immunity
It won’t happen but this forum lets you know what some people are thinking.
Logically anyone’s record is there to challenge. Bad mistakes, unwise decisions, absolutely.
Fraud and sexual abuse are not mistakes.
Those are intentional actions that are deemed reprehensible. Serious retribution in the form of fines or imprisonment will be faced.
To hear that a court of appointed jurists absolves an elected yahoo from all judgement says enough about them
