Nice racism. Chimpout?

Its absurd to think that Facebook groups reflect mainstream thought. Obviously the extremism is more present on the internet, on both sides. I'll even go as far as saying that it is more disproportionate on the right, definitely true for me anecdotally. I will pass.
I also will apologize for being mean-spirited earlier. It's a poor use of time and a nasty way to be. Sorry.
This thread does not deliver.
so it was personal
I heard this earlier. I’m not sure it’s accurate. It sounded like the dead guy just got to town recently. They might have worked together, but it wasn’t for 17 years I’m not sure they even knew each other tbh. You’d think the dude would be saying let me up Derrick or something if he knew him. I’d await clarification on this .
I'm not understanding why Minneapolis hasn't arrested the cops yet -- especially the main guy who did it.
Certainly the evidence is there to charge them with something fairly serious already. They could haul them in, charge them with first degree assault, and say that they are still investigating the matter, and a murder charge is possible.
That would calm people down at least somewhat.
This city government really is incompetent.
I'm no lover of Amy Klobuchar, but what exactly did she do wrong here?
https://news.yahoo.com/amy-klobuchar...183728902.html
While it appears this officer was a piece of shit long before this incident, I am having a hard time finding fault with "the shooting death of a man who had stabbed other people before attacking police".Quote:
Ex-Minneapolis police officer Derick Chauvin saw at least 10 conduct complaints during his 19-year tenure before he was fired Tuesday, according to a database that documents complaints against police. In particular, he was involved in the shooting death of a man who had stabbed other people before attacking police, as well as some other undisclosed complaints. Klobuchar did not prosecute Chauvin and other officers involved for the first death, which occurred in October 2006 while she was running for Senate.
What should the police have done in that incident? Let him stab them?
Sounds like a very justified shooting to me.
Then there's this weird part of the article:
Okay?Quote:
As The Washington Post noted in March, Klobuchar "declined to bring charges in more than two dozen cases in which people were killed in encounters with police" as Hennepin County attorney. Instead, she "aggressively prosecuted smaller offenses" that "have been criticized for their disproportionate effect on poor and minority communities," the Post continues.
Maybe she didn't bring charges because people were killed when deadly force was justified? Where is an example of a specific case where she didn't prosecute an officer, but should have?
And somehow they're tying that in to her prosecuting non-cops for "smaller offenses", as if she shouldn't be prosecuting other crimes just because minorities committed them?
Whole article is really garbage.
You would understand if you were black.
If you are black, cops will use you as target practice or kill you in public without fear of ever being charged with a crime.
Even former Democratic Presidential hopeful Amy Klobuchar knows you don't charge police for killing black people because you will never get a conviction. She declined many times to charge police with murder when she was a prosecutor.
The police officers in this case will lose their jobs and will probably eventually be charged with a crime but a jury will never convict them.
Minneapolis needs to pass a law making it a crime to record police when they are arresting black people.

the cops just arrested a cnn reporter and his crew live on tv
its gonna be a long summer
Oh they want radical police reform, but they want sweeping reform with all kinds of anti-police and race-related nonsense thrown in. They wouldn't want a solution which makes it easier to fire problem cops, but stops there.
I agree with the bodycams, btw, and always have.
Still don't get why these terrorist activities that were perpetuated by the hundreds if not thousands of the black community in Minn are being compared to the what 100-200 maybe, white people that stormed the Michigan courthouse.
This isn't a race issue and I'm not racist for saying that. The city of Minn fucked up the way they handled this though. At the same time, even if he was fired immediately, I still think these riots and looting would have occurred.
I read that a white CNN reporter wasn't arrested who was standing nearby. Hahaha. The irony of the effort going on about CNN being so liberal and biased and not covering this. Then they can't even report on it live because the cops arrest their minority reporters.
You literally can't make this shit up. And then we wonder why they loot? Holy fuck.
DUH
fuckin' DUH
In the meantime, I just discovered a Target shipment I ordered on May 24 has no tracking number and is stuck on "shipping label created".
It charged me, nothing is coming, and it's impossible to reach a US rep on the phone. Philippines is useless as always.
Never mind, I think I agree with the looters. Local Target store better be ready for me today.
DONT GET SHUT OUT
completely disagree considering the circumstances of why they are rioting.
trump better be awfully careful with not backing team police over team dead black guy.
it's like he is intentionally trying to get out the black vote.
i think we probably both agree that trump can't hold that 80,000 vote advantage if black people turn out in 2020.
he's walking a very fine line here
I’m so happy for this civil unrest because it detracts from the covid unrest.
We have officially reached the point where there are people calling to round up white people and kill them on twitter (check the responses to J Hills last tweet).
I’m certain if you looked you can find people saying the opposite.
Scary stuff.
I think it depends. Heavy civil unrest in many cities definitely contributed to Nixon's victory in 1968 but there are so many factors that can't be compared I'm not sure we can say this would do the same.
This probably motivates the black vote but it also probably motivates angry disaffected whites who dislike Trump and might not have voted for him but now think well what the fuck at least he wants to go shoot those people.
I’m not sure whether he’s right or wrong. Trump was bleeding old white seniors. I don’t know that this makes them feel comfortable. It would drive black vote that’s for sure. Biden has multiple paths for victory, but I sure like having seniors in the column I’m cheering for.
Side note, heard your boy Michael Lewis on Simmons yesterday. Laughed at him talking about Trump ignoring all Obama team and his thinking that.”this guys is going to get us killed. I just wasn’t sure how.” I’m sure that quote is off. I’m paraphrasing. Heard he has his own podcast now, you in heaven? Does it deliver?
