They should get a refund of some portion no matter how stacked this card is anytime the main event gets cancelled, especially 3 days before it's going to happen. This could have been the fight that sealed the deal for some people to come to Vegas and watch it only for it to be cancelled. That is part of the sport but still.

All I will say is how does one guy who loses his life for a few years because of multiple life fuck ups claim to be on the right track now do such shit to jeopardize his career?

No matter what he tested positive for it can't be good and Jones is a dumb fuck for not realizing they will be watching him so much after his recent past failures.

"It was not a decision the UFC made out of sympathy to fans who purchased expensive tickets to the historic card. Under Nevada Athletic Commission rules, refunds must be offered any time there is an alteration to the main event."

I cant think of any other athlete that has some much talent self destruct like this.

It's true they have to offer it by law but a lot of people won't redeem this because they still want to go to the event regardless or are afraid of being shut out if they were to make a claim so they just don't look into their options of getting some sort of refund.

Their are a lot of football players and some basketball players that have done ridiculous, self-destructive things over the years but none of them are as elite in the sport they are in as Jon Jones. It's true they have to offer it by law but a lot of people won't redeem this because they still want to go to the event regardless or are afraid of being shut out if they were to make a claim so they just don't look into their options of getting some sort of refund.

One good tactic is to find your tickets on ticketmaster (assuming you got them there) and see what the rates are for tickets around your seat. For example, ones right next to tickets that used to be 1500 a piece tickets are now 855 each. Even before Jon Jones was taken off the card the ticket prices were dropping. So a lot of people were locked in at 1500 whereas if they bought a couple days ago they could have gotten them for 800. The altering of the main event gives them an out to get seriously reduced tickets. There were still a lot of seats left before this news broke.

With Jon Jones, I guess i am taking into consideration how many chances he has had. And of all things performance enhancing drugs with his talent and the the drug testing they now do. It is a whole new level of stupid.

Im doing some research and I am confident that I could get the same type of seats($915) by buying nosebleed and moving down after prelims.

I had a personal trainer who used to train with Bones. When he got popped the first time, I was curious how a guy with that much discipline could fuck up so bad? His response was that everything was given to him too easy, he didn't have to work too hard to achieve success.

He reminds me of the NFL version of Manziel.

UFC 200 has been Dana's worst nightmare realized.. First he was supposed to have McGregor vs Diaz 2 and that fell through but hey we've still got Cormier vs Jones for the LHC no worries.. Oh Fuck great now our Main event for our 200th event is a former champ turned Pro Wrestler coming back supposedly for 1 fight vs our perennial KO artist at HW whos never been a champ.. Well this looks like its working well.. If not for Lesnar's ego and boredom getting the better of him (which is likely gonna lead to Hunt KOing his ass in Rnd 1) Dana might very well have killed himself after last nights press conference and rightfully so...

Not sure if it's been discussed, but how does this work for Cormier in the event that they can't find a short notice replacement? Does he just not get paid at all?

The problem is 2 fold #1. This was to be a unification fight between Jones Interim and DC's titles #2. Its one thing to find a replacement on short notice with a couple weeks I cant see anybody taking this fight on 2 days as they would have to be able to weigh in no more then 206 TOMORROW. So unless somebody is in fighting shape from 185 who wouldn't need to cut hardly I don't know how its possible.

Id hope for DCs sake he has a rider that says should he lose his opponent within 7 days of the match that UFC has to pay him maybe part of his show fee.. I don't know how their contracts work but if Cormier got screwed out and is getting nothing as a result of Jones' actions I might be inclined if I were DC to find somebody to break Jones' kneecaps ;)

The event isn't sold out, so those aren't really concerns right now.

Anyway, ticket price aside, this card is STILL top shelf, and still by far the most stacked cared the UFC has ever done.

MMATORCH is reporting 2 fighters are lobbying to fight Cormier Saturday night. One is already on the card the other fought within the last few weeks.. First the fighter already on the card is Mousasi who was the last Strikeforce LHW Champion. He would likely be giving up some weight to Cormier but could be intriguing.. The other one is the current MW champion Bisping who is lobbying simply because then he can claim he did what McGregor couldn't do, which is holding 2 belts at the same time. Seeing how Dana White now has a 3 round Main Event (not that it matters as I think most think it wont even go 3 anyway) he's gotta be pondering his options and quick...

3 round main event makes no real differences when ere are still a few 5 rd fights on the card anyway.

I have Makdessi -145...he's a solid Tri-star guy with excellent striking. He's lost his last two (to Medeiros and Cerrone, certainly not slouches) so he's real desperate for a win.
