He’s such an old school politician and so reliant on getting 95% of the black vote that I think he’s making a tactical error by not doing this.

You’d lose some black voters, but you’d pick up more from the middle. And most you lose would sit out, not go the other way.

There is no desire for a shutdown from either side. I don’t care about the unvaccinated and they don’t think it’s a problem and certainly don’t want a shutdown or to take any precaution. Let nature play out.

I can’t see a reason for shutting anything down short of it actually hitting small children, not on CNN, but in the real world. If that happened before parents had a chance to vaccinate their really young ones, that’s the only spot I can agree with it.

I’m hoping to see larger numbers every day when I look at cases. It’s not about wanting anybody dead, albeit almost all will be assholes worth shedding zero tears over, but I have always assumed we will all get this at some point. Better this version where the vaccine has so far held. We may get it again in waves. No one knows. In every scenario, more people with immunity, partial immunity, etc will always be a benefit.

I think he meant federal gov’t. Talk was about executive orders and Biden. States can certainly decide shit like vaccinations and already do. It wouldn’t be unpopular to require it in your state. It would make you more popular. The opposite other places.

I'm not sure it matters who's telling you that it's required, the point is that you're being made to take it.

My wife's work, I believe by 8/31 (could be a little off), will require that all employees are vaccinated or be required to take at least 2 covid tests weekly. I can see alot of employers doing things similar.

Businesses will adjust too. Maybe airlines will offer some discounted flights for vaccinated people only. Things of that nature.

governments dictate vaccines are necessary for travel every single day tho. seems a bit arbitrary to say ok those rules only matter at the physical borders of the nation, but not states, offices, homes, restaurants, etc.
