And I have never, in the 16 years Ive been wagering on MMA, ever seen anyone get faster from packing on mass. In fact, virtually all MMA fighters regard moving up in weight to be the kiss of death. With two notable exceptions (Rumble and Eric Silva), people move up and basically get starched by people from much higher weight classes cutting down. And usually its a one way street because once you move up a weight class, you effectively rewire your twitch time/muscle memory. You basically have a new body to deal with.
Conor landed on Diaz in the first and actually busted him up bad, but Diaz claims that was more a symptom of him being on a beach in Cabo the week before, eating nachos etc. I dont think Diaz is full of shit there and I think Conor will get stung once and realize instantly that he can never hang with men this size. No one at featherweight touched him like he got touched that night, and Diaz is probably the single worst example of that reality because Diaz spars boxing at 100% with people who literally have calcite knuckles and have been training striking since they were 12, who outweigh him by 40 pounds.
Again, Conor might be able to find a button to push in the first but the current line for this fight is driven entirely by Conor worshipping euros; he should be a +285 dog here even if you ignore the USADA factor, which you really should not.
