This is hugely suspicious - because when the cheater is bet in to in this spot, he should just go ahead and raise. The other guy can't call with 88, so you take the pot without a showdown. (Calling with 88 in triple draw is like calling with 3 high in Hold'em)
It's like they wanted to get caught, or are totally totally totally totally totally clueless.
Why wouldn't it be possible that someone from the site is doing the actual cheating and this is the reason they are stonewalling? I mean we don't know who the owners are who the devs are. Its the prime and ultimate way to cheat, with nothing known about the sites management and it gives them not only a lot of opportunity but also temptation that may be too high to ignore considering the circumstances.
Micon is scheduled to be sentenced on November 3rd 2015. (Tomorrow)
Will Micon get probation or time in prison?

Stacking up hard on probation. Kids been keeping a low profile.
He better at least walk in with a freshly washed and ironed Hoosiers Rock shirt.
Isnt it about time that another Drone shop was "robbed"?
The kid skates. Well played. Light regulation or light justice?

Vegas man gets probation, fine in illegal online poker case
A Las Vegas professional gambler and former operator of the bitcoin online poker site "Seals with Clubs" was fined $25,000 and placed on up to two years of probation on Tuesday after pleading guilty to a criminal charge of operating an unlicensed interactive gambling system.
Bryan Micon, 37, also surrendered 3.0996 in bitcoin credits, another $900 in cash and more than six computers after returning to Nevada in June from the Caribbean island nation of Antigua as part of a plea agreement reached in July.
Clark County District Court Judge Kerry Earley told Micon he faces up to 2½ years in state prison if he violates terms of his sentence.
Micon spoke only to tell the judge he understood. He could have faced up to 10 years in state prison and a $50,000 fine.
Defense attorney Richard Schonfeld told the judge Micon planned to complete his probation in Las Vegas and move with his family to Antigua to take a job in the technology office of a newspaper there.
Nevada gambling regulators and state Attorney General Adam Laxalt announced in April that Micon was sought on a warrant in what they called the first-of-its-kind state-level prosecution dealing with bitcoin and illegal Internet gambling. Laxalt declared that Nevada would protect its reputation as leader in casino regulation.
Bitcoin currency isn't backed by any government. Its use enables Internet transactions without banks and provides anonymity that authorities say provides a method for money laundering and illegal drug sales.
Nevada officials said Micon operated his site for almost a year and went to Antigua after investigators obtained a warrant and searched his home in February.
The website sealswithclubs.eu went inactive after offering players a chance to retrieve bitcoin balances.
Online gambling occupied a legal gray area until a federal crackdown in 2011. Later that year, the U.S. Justice Department said online gambling except sports betting was legal, as long as it was permitted on the state level.
Nevada, New Jersey and Delaware have legalized the practice among players who log in within their state lines.
Several other states are considering adopting laws to allow online games.
Expected result at this point.
But why didn't the article mention swcpoker.eu?
Also, he's going to take a job at an Antiguan newspaper when his probation is up? Huh? How does he know that the job will still be open to him in 2 years? Weiiiiiiiiiird.
The article also doesn't mention his job at Drones Plus.
So... I wonder what the terms of his probation are.
I'm sure it includes standard stuff, such as not getting in trouble for anything else while on probation. And I'm sure it states he can't operate any illegal gambling sites, or be part of them in any way.
But what else? I have a feeling that he is NOT banned from casinos.
Do the probation terms state that he cannot go on social media and talk about the "oppressive government" related to this case?
And will he start talking on social media again and even restart DD Radio?
I predict he will remain mostly quiet while on probation, and then will go crazy again with anti-government rhetoric once he's safely off probation and back in Antigua.
A 25k hit is no small thing.
In before kickstarter shenans...
LOL. It's currently the main news story on the front page of the only Antiguan newspaper I think there is, the Antuguan Daily Observer (antiguaoberserver.com). Something strange is going on here...I believe that Micon's "set something up", casino/bitcoin/otherwise with that country and we'll be hearing more and more about it over time.
The article on VegasInc.com confirms that he's got that job for now...also the last two paragraphs glean a bit more interesting info:
- could have been three years probation, but "Schonfeld argued that Micon has responded to the charges against him responsibly" and the judge chose two years.
- Micon will purportedly need to stay within the confines of Nevada for his entire probation period of two years.
Bitcoin poker site operator gets probation
By J.D. Morris Tuesday, November 3, 2015 - 11:26 a.m.
The Las Vegas man who pleaded guilty to running an illegal online gambling website that used Bitcoin was sentenced today to a maximum of two years’ probation.
Bryan Micon agreed in District Court to also pay a $25,000 fine and surrender certain items that authorities seized from him, among other conditions. He will avoid jail time as a result of the plea he entered in July.
Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt announced in April that his office was pursuing legal action against Micon in a case that officials characterized as a first for the state. Micon was charged with one felony count of operating an unlicensed interactive gaming system due to his involvement with the poker website Seals with Clubs, which allowed players to gamble with Bitcoin, the alternative currency.
Micon’s felony can be reduced to a gross misdemeanor once he successfully completes probation.
After his home was raided by state authorities in February, Micon and his family left the United States for Antigua, a Caribbean island with a reputation for friendliness toward online gaming. Micon has said they were already planning to go there.
But Micon returned to Nevada once charges were filed against him, and his attorney Richard Schonfeld said today that Micon would remain in the state for as long as he was on probation.
District Court Judge Kerry Earley considered whether to sentence Micon to a maximum of two or three years’ probation. She chose two after Schonfeld argued that Micon has responded to the charges against him responsibly and wishes to return to Antigua for a job opportunity after he serves his sentence. Until then, he is employed by a drone store in Las Vegas.
Bryan micon is god.
Can all 50 of you "obv going to jail" tards admit you were wrong now?
I think the most valuable lesson to be learned from this is, that when you fuck up, make sure you invest in the best, most connected attorney
the drone store employment is likely a massive sham
his job with the newspaper is likely one that was "paid for" while over there
congrats to Micon for brib..,er, out-maneuvering the system
That expensive representation paid off. I wonder if any key stipulations of his probation were added besides him not being able to operate an illegal site or be involved with illegal activity.
He can still play all the live poker he wants I would guess.
are they saying that he admitted to being the owner of swc?
If anyone on planet mother fucking Earth STILL thinks he came back to the U.S., without KNOWING his sentence in advance, kindly inflict harm on yourself.
Amazing how he went from beating the drum loudly against the establishment to quieter then a church mouse.
I'm sure he was told if he acted a fool his deal could be pulled.
More amazing to me is how the avg poster would love to see him get sent to the pen. He provided years worth of entertainment for everyone here and personally wronged none of you besides maybe Druff.
I wonder if his probation will include typical drug screens? I've seen non drug related probation still require it, and I've seen it where it wasn't part of the process. It usually is. More people go to jail for violating than for original crime, but I think he loves his wife and daughter enough to abstain if it is.
He got lucky, but a lot of people are too broke when they get caught to even get lucky, so he made his own luck. I'd be shocked if the move to Antigua ever occurs, but I've been wrong as far as all his plans before, so we'll see. It sounds more like a lawyer story to explain why he left and to assure the court he never attempted to flee.
Btc up and he gets his anticipated walk. Good week for him.
He was a lying scumbag, who would (and did) sell out his friends. He back stabbed people, was dishonest, threw people under the bus, etc.
There was no loyalty with him. He used anyone he could to get to the top. Fuck him and his lawyer. Great job of showing though that if you do something shady and benefit financially, you can use that money to pay for top notch attorneys who will get you minimal punishments. If he didnt have so much money from SWC, he would have been screwed and likely in jail.
You know his poker skills didnt afford him that attorney.
wow...134 pages; there's gotta be a screenplay here...
if someone wrote a treatment it could be pitched at the celebrity table at the WSOP
So math does bow to guns as well as wayward libertarians.
Pretty sure his money came from early bitcoin investments. The various Seals failsites netted him something like 55k a year and hes got a wife and kid to support.
His roll came entirely from BTC.
caveat: this is assuming that he didnt backdoor Seals and run a godmode account at those mixed game tables
micon is a fucking eagle AINEC
Micon said fuck the man and the man said, "what position?"
I made this, dont you forget it
assless chaps photo of Zod disseminated
asked to borrow money and when turned down, turned hostile
any of this ring a bell?
