Rents are shockingly high right now.
Reasonable apartment in Wellington or Auckland is looking at around $550 a week [nz funny money] for 1 person, maybe 2.
Reasonable house can be a bit more.
Other parts of the country reasonable house is likely to be $300-450 a week give or take for 2-3 bedrooms.
Power for an apartment is roughly $150 a month, Auckland is the only city that charges for water but consider potentially $60-120 a month for that.
Reasonable mobile phone and internet plan is another $170/month give or take.

I have done some research on Biden tonight.
My conclusions:
1) He is looking bad, but not completely dead, on a national level. My biggest concern is that Bloomberg is going to suck away a lot of his support from older moderates. Still, I probably want to hedge on Bernie and maybe sprinkle some on Bloomberg. The best time to hedge, in my opinion, is still going to be after South Carolina.
2) Bernie is probably winning Nevada, but it's far from certain, due to the scant polling data. We've basically seen no polling since January 14. However, a Biden victory there would not be shocking. In general, Nevadans are political moderates, and beat to their own drum. This is why Hillary's unexpectedly strong numbers there in 2016 made people pessimistic about Trump's chances (since Nevada's numbers came in early), and then it turned out that Nevada was an outlier. Right now you can get excellent odds on Biden in Nevada (almost +900), but I think they will get even better right after New Hampshire, where Biden is likely to get clobbered. I will probably fire some on Biden in Nevada right after the NH numbers come in.
3) Biden is better than even money now in SC, but again, I expect that to fall after New Hampshire, and maybe even fall further if he loses in Nevada. I will fire on him winning SC after New Hampshire numbers come in.
Immediately, I will do nothing. My plan is as follows:
Late 2/11 after NH results come in: Bet Bloomberg to win it all, bet Biden to win NV and SC. Bet Biden to win other black-heavy states where I feel there's value.
Late 2/22 after NV results come in: Bet more on Biden if he loses NV
Late 2/29 after SC results come in: Provided Biden wins, bet on Bernie to win it all.
