I think it's a huge mistake to ruin a friendship and business partnership over politics.
Everyone has their cause that they're passionate about. Everyone makes compromises when they support a candidate.
DRK has expressed a lot of support for police and law enforcement. It is definitely a fact that Obama was very anti-law-enforcement and took sides in many of those racially-related disputes, including the very questionable ones like Ferguson.
Trump repeatedly expressed support for law enforcement and was basically putting the message out that he supported police and was not going to be coddling career criminals.
It is understandable that, for this reason alone, DRK supported Trump.
I also understand why you hate him, being Mexican, and that's fine. However, Trump wasn't doing anything like calling for the extermination of all Mexicans. He was railing against illegal immigrants from Mexico and exaggerated the crime they were causing. While it's understandable that this made you hate Trump, it's also understandable that others, who aren't Mexican, just saw Trump as attempting to take a stand against illegal immigration.
I didn't vote for Trump and don't like him.
However, barring super extreme circumstances (basically someone like a modern-day Hitler), ending friendships based upon politics is a very bad idea, and I suggest you revisit your decision.
I am someone with a mixture of conservative, liberal, and middle-of-the-road friends, and it does not bother me in the slightest that the liberal ones vote differently than I do.
