It is clear Russia wanted Trump to win.
It's easy to just dismiss this as the evil Russians wanting someone they could more easily manipulate, but it also may be as simple as Putin not trusting the existing Washington establishment, and feeling that an outsider like Trump was less likely to do things to harm Russia.
Putin has been high on Trump for more than a year.
This could end up being a good or bad thing. Bad if we end up getting manipulated, good if Trump's election breaks down a barrier of distrust with Russia, and warms relations.
