Health is actually the story of the Dodgers this postseason.
Zero position players on the DL.
A bunch of pitchers are there, but no major starting pitchers are. Everyone got healthy and shook off the rust in time for the postseason. Snell made only 11 regular season starts, but will be remembered for his incredible domination in the postseason. Glasnow made 18 starts, mostly in the second half, and has made two solid postseason starts. Ohtani pitched just 47 regular season innings, and just put forth this gem, plus an okay first start. Roki was out most of the year, and is now playing closer.
It's no longer Yoshi Yamamoto and the seven dwarves.
They have such deep starting pitching right now that Kershaw is watching from the bench, save for a little trash time against the Phillies (where he got bombed, sadly).
Will the Dodgers give Clayton a better sendoff in the World Series, or are they afraid to mess around? He didn't throw one pitch against the Brewers.
I think Roberts is waiting for a blowout (on either side) to put him in, hoping he goes 1 clean inning.
Kershaw pitched this year because he wanted to finally be on the active roster of a full season World Series winning team. Well, he is on the active roster, but in name only. I'd like to see him get a shot to finish off his career on a happy note, even if it's not in a critical role.
