This is obviously an improvement from about 232 where I started, but I'm also stuck here, and it's now been 2+ months. I was hoping to be around 210-215 by this point.
A few things have hindered the weight loss attempt:
- After going through 2012 without being sick for more than 24 hours (the first year in my life I've ever done that), I didn't do nearly as well in 2013. I had two long-lasting colds in January-February, thus making it difficult to exercise.
- I developed back problems in February, and they got much worse about 2 weeks ago. This has especially prevented me from exercising. I never had back problems prior to this, but sadly they mirror longtime problems experienced by my mom, so they are probably hereditary, but just took 41 years to appear.
- I have done well with laying off the Pepsi during the day and drinking water instead. I have also done well with eating very little during the day. I haven't done as well at night. I have been eating big dinners and drinking more OJ that I should late at night.
- I took a trip to Hawaii, where it was difficult to keep to the diet.
Unfortunately, with my back in really bad shape right now, I cannot do any kind of appreciable exercise.
I will try to drink less OJ at night, and eat smaller dinners, and see if that brings my weight down some more.
Hard to type this without it sounding like I am trolling, which I am not.
But that just sounds like a lot of fucking excuses. "My back hurts" "I was sick" "I was on vacation" "The moon wasn't in the right phase" "My dick hurts"
You don't seem to be taking this very seriously, just like you have admitted to doing in the past. You don't have to type a novel convincing me that you are telling the truth. I believe that you believe it's reality. But the mind can be very tricky when it's convincing itself that it can't or doesn't want to do something. Could you really not exercise when you were sick? Or was that an easy out? Would sticking to your diet really be THAT difficult on vacation? Shouldn't be if you are "serious" this time. Your back? Well, back issues are a bitch. But what are you doing about it? Are you being proactive to resolve the issue, or are you just using it as an excuse to be lazy and not follow through on your plan?
Again, I believe that you could type a novel explaining why each of these things is true, and you may even believe it in your own mind. But if you were taking this seriously, you would have at least stuck to your diet on vacation. You're sick? Ehhh, ok. Back hurts? I guess I get it. Vacation time? Have a little fucking will power. Do you wanna see Benjamin get married, or do you want that extra can of pepsi and a cheeseburger? Think about it.
