It was much longer than 9 minutes. First, When the store clerk called the cops they told the cops he was already high, then he downed everything else he had in the car when they showed up so he wouldn't get caught with it. Then they took him out of the car, walked him around, sat him down across the street, questioned him, sobriety tested him, then tried to put him in the cop car then laid him down and kneeled on him. He was yelling that he couldn't breathe long before they put him on the ground, he was having some kind of panic attack related to the drugs. One of the cops says they put him on the ground because he was obviously out of his mind and they didn't want him to do something crazy and get hit by a car. To me, this is similar to the Eric Garner case, the real fuckup by the cops was not recognizing when either of them was in serious trouble. They were slow to react when both needed help. Better training in this spot is a must.Quote:
