Action folded to Nicholas Derke in the small blind, he raised it up. Todd Witteles was in the big blind and put in a raise. Derke made the call and a flop was spread along the felt. Derke checked the flop and then raised when Witteles put a bet in. Witteles called all in and the two players turned their hands over.
Witteles' was in front of the of Derke at this point and it was extremely bad news as the turn gave Derke a straight. The river changed nothing and with that, the bubble is burst and the 18 remaining players are redrawing their seats.

This is my first actual WSOP bubble. I've final-table-bubbled 3 times, but never cash-bubbled.
Normally it wouldn't be a big deal, but this was two LONG, stressful days, and the bubble was $11k, rather than something like a $2k bubble for one of the $1k NL events. I've pseudo bubbled smaller events before and it barely affected me.
This one really hurts, especially because I had 99k (average was 125k) going into the final level, with 4 stacks shorter than mine.
Here are the 4 hands that did me in:
I picked up Th9h. This is the one hand I kinda regret. Part of me thinks I should have folded it with suited connectors not playing as well at this stage. I opened with it, and got 3-bet by the button. Called. Flop K94 rainbow. I checked, button checked. Turn was 6. I checked, button bet, I called. River was an ace. I checked, button checked and showed QQ. Down to 79k.
After the blinds took me down to 71.5k, folded around to me on the button with QTo. I raised, SB folded, Ray Dekhargani in BB called. Flop 884. Checked to me, I bet, he called. Turn Q. He checked, I checked. River A. He checked, I checked. He showed AQ! I was very proud of how I played that hand, only losing 20k and leaving myself with 51.5k.
I found myself with ATdd under the gun. I considered folding for bubble-avoidance sake, but it was only 7 handed and it was hard to bring myself to fold it. I raised, Terrence Chan 3-bet, I called. Again, 15k invested already. Flop Q98. I check-called. Turn K, check, check. River Q (also making 3 clubs), check check. Chan showed AJ. Down to 31.5k.
Blinds took me down to 24k, was dealt trash for that whole round.
On the next BB I had AKo. Nick Derka open raised from the SB. I three-bet, he called. Flop 652 rainbow. He bet, I went all in for my final 9k. He tabled 94hh. I had a feeling I was going to lose the hand, even though I was ahead. Turn was the heartbreaking 3 and the room (eager for the bubble to burst) clapped, which was further demoralizing. Ace hit the river for the final FU.
