BUCKLE UP
Disappointingly low amount of nudity, and most of that has been unimpressive white cock.
If I wanted that I can just go to PFA.
I have a feeling this is blowback from #metoo and I do not approve.
im enjoying the ride so far.
there are some shortcuts being taken with the whole 'bring a dead synth back to life by pressing a button' vibe that i find a bit off-putting but in no way does it really impact my ability to enjoy it overall.
i do want to see the other historical model synths show up sooner than later because i felt like that was a huge selling point at the end of season 1.
also i love the concept that the show could literally end with delores being elected president, like they could totally break out of their island and take over the fucking world and that would be entirely within the shows prescribed arc.
so we have taken a hard left turn and now this is basically a horror show i guess?
id have preferred this not be the case.
Should I debate the difference between A.I. and a real self aware Android that has some how achieved self-conscious? Nah. Because it doesn't fucking exist.
I am now looking forward to Samurai World.

funny, ive heard a few reviewers say the same thing about how it might be their favorite ep so far.
the James Delos plot was frankly incredible but its also kinda been their trump card since the show started. and again instead of allowing it to take an introspective, nuanced path, they just turn it into more grief porn. season 1 danced with a lot of really incredible, subtle themes and i dont recall a single subtle moment in this entire season. i dont need to see a guy get his arm blown off. i dont need to see someone make a railroad track out of people.
none of that interests me. its not science fiction, its just some saw shit.
regarding samurai land, i admire your optimism.
Samurai land is kind of meh but the fact that Thandie Newton seems like she learned how to speak Japanese is pretty impressive. The ultraviolence is gonna drive you nuts, tine.
The whole Japan subplot is real boring and unnecessary IMO. They probably just didn't have enough material to get through a full season, so this allowed them to fill 2 episodes.
Also, they were probably worried they were promoting "whiteness" a little too much with the Western theme, so they decided they needed to swerve a little for PC reasons.
westworld used to be a must watch for me, now I’m a week or two behind and I really don’t care
I’m kinda over trying to figure the timelines and who is a host and who isn’t
I just want to be entertained, and I feel like I have to watch each episode 4 four fucking times to figure out what’s going on
I watch every episode on sunday nite, then put in a good 90 minutes plus a week having people on youtube explain to me what happened, then I watch the episode again before the next week's airs. I probably put in more time, per episode, with this show than any other show I've ever watched. I almost understand most of it, kinda.
im having a lot of trouble with the inconsistency.
thandie can mind-hack samurai but cant mind-hack indians? what the fuck is that exactly.
also the entire samurai land subplot sucked a dick up until it hiccupped mostly because the fight choreography was trash and on about infinite occasions i saw rubber, blunt sword tips being waved around in peoples faces.
After the whole Japan world sojourn the series has really picked up. The last few weeks have been the best it has been IMO, even counting Season 1. Looking forward to season finale next Sunday.
Moral of the story, always blindfold your robot when you fuck them.......
Finished the series. Was pretty good. Didn't understand everything, but I suspect the plot isn't that tight and it wasn't possible to.
I think this series, especially this season, is an example of how cultural Marxism can be done subtly and effectively employed without making the final product shit (like The Last Jedi was). Most of the protagonists were women or minorities, and most (but not all) of the antagonists were white males, but it wasn't done super clumsily and blatantly and at the expense of actually writing a good story (like TLJ).
honestly its one of those shows where if you write down what actually happened in simple terms, you never stop eyerolling.
its not a bad show, its got good bones as they say, but at the end of the day its hard to ignore the squandered opportunities, had they just had faith and/or talent enough to pursue their own visions artfully.
I gotta disagree with the loose plot thing. If you watch every episode and that's all, you aren't going to even come close to understanding everything, IMO. If you have any questions, you can look almost all of them up and find the answers to them. There are an army of shows and sites that review and analyze this show, and there's a shit-ton to analyze. You can say that not every answer is clear yet, not every motivation, etc, that's true for sure but the story isn't over yet by a long shot. As for the plot holes in this show, as far as I can tell, they are very few and far between.
The more time you put into this show, the more you get out of it, 100%. To just say the plot "isn't that tight", tho, that's just not true. It's just designed to open up a lot more on repeated viewings.
Awesome.
Remember that time I said oh look sonatine is more like breastworld cuz he's unhealthily fat
Gares wrinkled forehead in the hizzay
We'll Meet Again is one of my favorite really old songs.
i mean, imma fuck with watchmen because of course i am, but i have super tempered expectations until i see a surplus of big blue dong on the screen.
also honestly a fucking 18+ month layoff between seasons of westworld is some straight bullshit.
BRUUUUUH.
All TV is cancelled until I deliver my review of bad boys for life
We have a real problem here Martin Lawrence is fat as shit in this and its verrrry distracting
Well Carnahan is on my hit list for what just happened to pantoliano
Honestly bad boys 1 was a perfect movie this needs some mid 90s Michael bay its above average so far but not great
