Oxark kinda hits the skids in the middle part of the season. Solid opening and premise, but the show is floundering a bit by eps 4-5, though. I think everyone should feel free to stop mentioning Breaking Bad when describing it.

^^^ My thoughts exactly. Middle episodes really let it down which was a shame considering the promising start.
The storyline is actually a great one, just a complete fail by the writers to take it into hillbilly land. I mean it was so fucking bad lol
Couldn't believe they used Del in only 3 of the episodes either. Another fail.
That said. I would definitely watch another series as the crux of the storyline is solid. They just need new writers.
Just finished Ozark imo is was strong out the gate, weak in middle, meh ending. They just had to do my boy Lulu dirty again. And that baby scene ffs for a second I forgot he was a preacher and just about freaked out.
I know it's not Netflix, but this now the TV thread, so here's my report on Snowfall.
Through 4 episodes, my feeling is similar to Ozark. The first two episodes were great. Good set up, pretty promising story lines with the black kids, the Israeli drug kingpin and the CIA-Contra guys. I thought the Latinos were lame and pace killers, though. Ep 3 and 4 dragged with too much torture porn and too long of a stay with the Latinos.
Friends from college is great kingdom is best show on TV
Netflix movie selection is _________________.
Huge fan of Difficult People on Hulu.
The Handmaid's Tale has been excellent.
Episode 10 tomorrow night. Would assume the series has already aired in the US?
never heard of it, will search. i have started Frontier. mediocre to bad. can't decide which. they keep adding to soap opera love lines like its a king and queens court, yet they are supposed to be frontier bandits and fur traders. losing me fast. hope it picks up.
Get while the gettin's good. Netflix is $20,000,000,000 in debt.
Honestly this took me by surprise; Netflix is easily one of the top three if not top two most financially generous dot coms to work for. Their stock packages are legendary. But apparently they run entirely on other peoples money and there is a serious conversation popping up in Silicon Valley about 'what happens when the lenders turn off the taps to Netflix'...

Man, wtf, Sam Shepard died from ALS? Had no idea he was even sick. Such a multitalented character. Curious if his diagnosis was reason he was killed off Bloodline, or if it was always written as such?
yeah, did not realize how prolific this guy was
just a side note for comic relief
Norm MacDonald said the same the about Hitler (didn't know he was sick) when informed by straight-man Adam Egat that indeed Adolf was dead
a dumb shtick but had to laugh
Supposedly the debt is 'healthy' because its money being spent on their own productions, which already have like 91 emmys or some shit, so you have downstream returns in theory, but lets revisit this conversation once Snapchat folds and the only people left in the tech market are the old dudes in the club.
It's not. Unfortunately they're $20.5 *B*illion in debt.

By the end of 2018, they will have to add unskippable commercials to the current base tier. Then for another $10-$15/month, they will offer an ad free premium tier.
To be fair they have over 50 million customers paying at least $8 a month. $20B sounds like a lot of money until you realize they have $400M coming in the door every month. They also have $6B in short term assets as of 12/31/16 o they really upside down $14B. This means if they didn't raise rates and didn't add any new subscribers and stopped paying all its employees they would be debt free in less than 3 years.
Frankly I think they could borrow another $10B and be in good shape.
Try over 100 million subscribers, actually. Around 50 million in the US.
And stopped producing content and stopped having expenses. And also, what?? LolQuote:

This is actually on Epix, which I know little about, but the first three episodes of "Get Shorty" have been very enjoyable. Don't worry, it's very different from the book/movie but similar enough in some aspects. If you saw both the "Snatch" tv series and the movie, it's pretty much like that situation but the "Get Shorty" tv series seems far superior to the "Snatch" tv series. I didn't watch the episodes on the site but they offer a 30 day free trial if you sign up or you can watch episode 1 free by going to the home page without signing up. Ray Romano plays the character similar to Gene Hackman in the movie.

ok just finished up "The Last Tycoon" on Amazon. Was much better than it looks. I give it a solid 8-9. Stylized period pieces make me flee, but the movie biz tycoon f scott fitz. combo worked.
12 Pages and no mention of Patriot on Amazon? This show is must watch TV. I was a little worried that no one watched it but it's coming back in 2018 for season 2. The name is horrible and I didn't watch it for a long time because I had kind of made up my mind that it sucked because the name of the show sucked. I just pegged it for a Homeland rip off. I couldn't have been more wrong. Just watch the first episode and if you hate it, then you are likely a horrible judge of anything.
Finished Ozark last night and the last 2 eps were pretty good and made up for the middle bed shit.
You can laugh at me if you want, but American Vandal is actually pretty good
Jerry Seinfekds special was decent. It's basically what you expect from him.
OK, so does anyone have a really good and CONSISTENT link that shows ALL of the adds for the month ( including extra seasons etc)?
Ive just been finding it fairly difficult to get a FULL list of EVERYTHING added in the current month.
Right when i think ive read a complete list, all of the sudden i stumble on another show/season etc that was added and not listed.
This link works consistently

Confession tapes was pretty good, especially the first two episodes.
It's been 12 years since any new Star Trek aired on TV, and ST: Discovery premieres tonight. Unfortunately, it's exclusive to CBS All Access, a $10/month streaming service. I'm not aware of any other significant exclusives, so it appears they're trying to get the ball rolling with this as the carrot.
This is a retarded idea, and I predict CBS All Access will be a massive failure. As a fan of the franchise, I'm disappointed that this show is likely doomed. This will be 2nd only to Game of Thrones as the most pirated show in the world, and when CBS predictably cries about this, they'll have no one to blame but themselves.
Ha ha. Yes, that's funny and all...iv'e already done the same exact thing literally every month. I realize you don't give me much credit, but im not that dumb.
The fact of the matter is, any of the links Ive found are not consistent. Ive monitored many googled links and sometimes any single one of those links are possibly missing shows that were added in a particular month; whether they were higher profile but possibly not as popular, or it was already existent programs but the added episodes/seasons may not have been added.
Seriously...why do you think id ask otherwise?
im just looking for one single link that CONSISTENTLY lists EVERYTHING in a current month, including added episodes, more obscure programs etc etc.
So far I have not found one, and I have been monitoring it for months.
Im actually flabbergasted that Netflix itself does not carry an easy to use list. If you have one, im all ears.
shut the fuck up nerd
but seriously if you are too dumb to figure out netflix then wow
so you need a bunch of childrens shows updated for you netflix is good for like 3 things a rando sick show like american vandal, a great original that takes years like bojack, and then watching 30 rock
otherwise child no one cares u cant find ur gay whatever it is
also maybe doing like a weird run in 2017 where u watch the last 3 episodes of season 4 breaking bad and u realize with the suspense gone u can still kind of enjoy it even though his kids and wife are awful
lol dont nerd me cuz ur too dumb to figure out netflix
