Anyone who buys this team (assuming the old fuck don't fight selling it) will lowball the shit out of Sterling and once they get a new owner in who is respectable you can bet all these sponsors will line right back up to take part again.

Nobody is getting low-balled. There were 9 bidders for Milwaukee. The owners will vote him out because he's bad for business, and this isn't some free market business. It's an association, like a homeowners association, and he just shit all over their block and tried to tank all their value. If it was a free market LBJ would get $100 million a year. They won't fuck with his money though. They want him gone, but money is sacred. He'll have a ton of bidders and get close to a billion.

I don't see the 'escape' angle, just more of a retribution angle. He will get what's coming to him, he will lose the team and make like another billion dollars during the bidding war that will surely ensue after this vote thing happens. I heard today that this woman claims that she didn't release this tape, but someone snagged it from her and released it to TMZ for fat cash, so that blows that angle too.

The chick says that Sterling was aware of the fact that she was recording him, making it legal. I haven't seen him dispute that.

What I mean by that is the team is depreciating in value and will continue to do so the longer it takes for him to sell the team but he probably can unload it quickly if he don't beat around the bush.

Most things I've read have the team value around $575-750 million dollars. I'm not sure about a billion but wtf knows.

The owners will vote him out for sure because it's negative PR not to do so. Anyone who don't is going to look very bad to a point where I can see every single one of them saying get the fuck out.

Come to think of it even with the loss of sponsors the timing is like perfect for Sterling since the season is practically over so he already got paid good on for the year and if he goes about it quickly he can probably unload the team in the off season still netting himself close to if not fair market value.

Agree BNP that the value would certainly flounder while he fought them, but ultimately they have to approve any new ownership group and they'll make damn sure he gets fair market value. What he gets for the team directly affects what their team is worth, so they are highly motivated to make sure he gets paid. That's why it's kind of like a housing association. You want the asshole out, but you don't want him to sell low. That makes your property worth less.
