friends in st thomas v.i. say its absolutely fucking apocalyptic. they took down all the cell towers / internet in preparation. they feel there is a real chance they will be living in literal stone age conditions for weeks and it may be years before life returns to anything vaguely normal.
Wow. Just wow. I live on the Georgia coast and Hurricane Matthew skirted by us last October. It was a CAT 2 descending to a 1. The mess it left was difficult to describe. Well I'll say this. If this was #Fakenews it worked like a charm. You guys should see the lines of people at Home Depot, grocery stores and gas stations. I'll give credit where credit is due... most people here in palm beach were all over this stating on Fri/Sat. Anxiety levels are definaltly up but it's being spread over a 8-9 day stretch. This is purely hypothetical, but could a multi national group of individuals who have billions if not trillions in hidden assets actually come up with a technology to manipulate the weather and use it to black mail or hold ransom nation states???
Obviously you cant control nature, but you can definitely exacerbate the climate in order to create conditions that could result in catastrophe, kinda like purposely setting a blaze to a forrest, maybe there is a way to fuck with the atmosphere in any given area of the planet.
