Hi Druff,I am asking if there are any updates to the Las vegas scene situation due to i cannot travel for awhile. thanks, see you at the WSOP...I pray.
P.H. has a promotion that if you get 5k tier credits in 24 hrs you get the Diamond card. 5k tier credits +10k bonus. video poker=1 tier credit for every 10$ in. will reset Jan 1,2020. Before i jump in i thought i would run it by you again here. Is it worth it? Or is a M card w/same play better? Thanks.
That's not a promotion. It's been that way for years.
And it's not just 24 hours. It has to be a specific 24 hours (I think 6am-5:59am).
If you earn Diamond, it will actually last until 1/31/21, even though the card will say 1/31/20.
Do you have any high cards with other properties? You might qualify for a status match anyway.
Yes specific 24hrs. 6am-559am...and you can move around the diff properties. I was in Cromwell today scouting machines out...saw the .5cent VP 50 play w/6 coins p.l.=30 a spin= 3 Tc........ Which property and machines do you suggest? Also Slot Pull Games are 1TC =5 bux in. thank you.
You will get clobbered if you attempt to do this on slots, which have a high casino hold.
I believe the good machines at Cromwell are $50 per tier credit, rather than $10 per tier as they normally are for video poker.
Unfortunately, to my knowledge, there are no good video poker machines in Vegas giving 1 tier per $10, except at really high limits ($25/credit).
The only 99%+ machine is the Double Bonus Poker at Rio (see page 1 of this thread). But that's a single play dollar machine, and will take forever to earn tiers (basically one tier every 2 hands).
Perhaps take a little trip to Tahoe to play the better machines there?
If I had known about this, I might have gone for it. One of my girlfriends likes slots (I find them boring after about 2 minutes). On two trips this year, she’s lost about $600. I give her a little money to play, as long as she uses my TR card. I’ve got over 5000 Tier credits this year, so I am at Platinum and need 10,000 more for Diamond. I know I will get more Tier credits for my WSOP buy ins, so it doesn’t make sense to do it now.
Question: Druff, do you know how many tier credits per $1000 you get for WSOP buy ins?
Hi,I am not speaking for druff but the brochure here, states 1$ for1$ in such things and also hotel rooms and such prop. rests.Only thing is that those TC take 72-90 hrs to hit yr card. The 24 hr promo you get credited immediately .I see the brochure does NOT differentiate about properties and TC's. But i defer to duff if he tell me the joint dont give 1tc per 10$ vp i believe him. I will ask about which Tahoe property i got a shot at.good luck. Druff if you get a second can you tell me about Laughlin harrah's Diamond. If any machine's there. thanks.
It's not clear how many tier credits you earn. I know it's not linear to the buyin amount. It has to do with the rake you pay.
https://www.caesars.com/total-reward...eries-of-poker
That gives the RCs you'll earn.
As far as tier credits, you earn them, but the amount is not stated on that page.
You can tweet @Kevmath and maybe you can find out.
Double Super Times Pay (9-5 JOB with a random multiplier for Deal and a random multiplier for Draw). I loved these two machines at PH until they changed those to $25=1tc. Today was the last time I play these (So used to playing these machines that I did not notice the new label about $25 per tier credit until I had already played it for 30 minutes (fortunately, I got a multiplier for a dealt full house, so ended up walking away with a profit)
That's too bad.
That Double Super Times Pay machine was my favorite one in Caesars Vegas properties.
What a fail the Vegas market has become for video poker at Caesars!
Dan, can you please crunch some numbers for us? Like the expected loss to Diamond for the 9-5 DSTP machines was $525, what would that number change to for the same machine being 8-5 DSTP? What is the number for the 9-6 JOB Machine which is $25=1tc? I assume the number for those 9-5 DSTP machines now is $525 * 2.5 which means expected loss to diamond will now be over $1300 !!
You can also get instant Diamond status with the Founders Card, which you can buy from this link: https://outandout.boardingarea.com/f...d-review-2019/
It's $395. You also get Hilton Gold status and 15% off AT&T, apparently.
Listening to you on the Archives Monday..was wiped out after 15 downs and No Break, Not 1 .Listening to this Part of Show now. Good Job .Run Good. Are Hat's for Sale? or Donation to show? I take 1. ok.
Founder's Club Look's Okay..4 day's in the Bahama's to Boot. 395 Bucks.
Data point for $2 9/7 db (99.11%):
$17k coin-in (1700 hands), lost $1400 :(
1400/17000 = 91.8% return
Running really bad
Yeah, that is pretty bad, but it can be much worse. I once lost $1500 at a similar game after just $4500 coin-in!
Also of those double bonus type games have more variance. Video poker already has variance due to the top-heavy hand payouts and the royal flush (1 in 40,000 chance) comprising 2% of the return. So if you hit no royal, a 99.11% game is about a 97.12% return. And then if you don't hit other big hands like quads or a straight flush, you really start to lose a lot.
For variance reduction, I prefer Deuces Wild, Bonus Poker, and Jacks or Better, of course with good pay tables.
The Super Times Pay and Double Super Times Pay really increase variance, though I admit they're fun.
Thanks for the guide, Dan Druff. A few updates:
Starting September 2019, CET is changing the way your status is maintained - your status will reset yearly. You used to keep your status for all of the remainder of the year you earned it, the next year, and through January of the year after. If you made Diamond or 7* this year, your status remains until January 2021. After, you must make the 15K TC, 25K, 75K, or 150K TC yearly in order to qualify for the next year.
Diamond has been split into three tiers: Diamond, Diamond Plus, and Diamond Elite, at 15K, 25K, and 75K TC respectively. The other two tiers gives you access to the lounge and a 600$ airfare allowance to Vegas, but little else. Definitely a downgrade compared to previous years.
Worst of all, CET is massively decreasing the TC earn-rate on VP machines with better pay-tables - some of the full pay machines are as high as 50$ coin-in per TC, compared to the 10$ Coin-In per TC we are used to.
Just something to keep in mind if attempting diamond in a day. I'm 2K away from diamond this year, not sure if I'll be able to keep the status for future years with my level of play and the degrading conditions
