So when Micon gets deported from Antigua in about 5 months, will he come back to Las Vegas and face the music or go to another country like Costa Rica?

Living on an island in the Caribbean can be very expensive, in 6 months Micon will probably blow through at least $100K just in living expenses for himself, wife and kid.


How much did Micon invest or is going to invest in his new bitcoin poker/gambling site?
After Micon's bust in Vegas, are the players still going to trust him just because he is a Jew?
What percentage of the players from SealsWithClubs will actually play on Micon's new website?


If Micon is going to stay on Antigua and become a resident he will have to make a $200K donation or a $400K investment in real estate plus pay about $60K in fees.

I don't buy any of this notion that he was planning to spend a year in Antigua. He might have been looking at spending a couple weeks there, but what is the incentive to spend a year out there unless of course you were facing jail time? What can you glean from a island the size of a landing strip in a year you could not find out in two days?

I just cannot imagine what Mrs. Micon's parents and relatives are going through. What, like 5 years ago she was a respected attorney and now she is holed up in Antigua.

I honestly believe there is likely some serious narcotic use going on between the both of them. I also believe there is some Stockholm syndrome going on as well.

When US citizens start referring to the US as a police state they are either part of some type of fringe weekend warrior military organization or just lost touch with reality and have an addiction issue or mental defect. The latter is likely true in this case.

The original code base was Mavenware, which is a very stable product with a very smooth development curve.

Now they fuck with a home spun solution, and should be considered beta for some time as I see it. Upside: tons of pretty awesome functionality and a reasonably well done client. Downside: instability.

Personally, I cant really get behind that. The thought of dropping a huge pot because my client barfed... I just cant. Life is hard enough as it is.

But honestly if they come through with a stable client, I'm going to hollar at some open face chinese poker on the regular there. Deffers.

I wonder... I got the impression that they had this software in dev long before the collapse... unless Maven saw the end coming a lot sooner than anyone else did of course.

It was in dev before the collapse.

But if you read the press release, it says in no uncertain terms that Mavens won't be used going forward, and a flimsy reason is given regarding the "architecture".

It was obvious that Seals 1 had some kind of relationship with Mavens (they got their updates versions before the rest of us). I assumed, as did many others, that Mavens was given a piece of ownership and abandoned it when the shit went down, and was one of the people who wanted his association to end on Feb 11.

Otherwise, it would have been left open to Micon regarding deciding when to roll out 2.0. Here it was presented as 2.0 or no launch.
