My first ever arena concert was Weezer when I was 18. I remember having seats up in the balcony and literally tossing my Shnaaps bottle on to the floor. I remember telling all my buddies I'd go to the floor and simply sprint past the college dude security to distract them while buddies strolled to floor seating. I remember getting past and this beheamoth (sp?) of a man grabbing my by the shoulders. I remember looking straight into his eyes and making him feel crazy for putting his hands on me. I remember him telling me, "I saw that, just so you know." I remember telling him I loved the sweater song. I remember him shaking my hand and walking away.
At Pine Knob we developed a system. 2 of us had pavilion seats and everybody else had lawn. The 2 with pavilion got past the gate guard and went to the back rows, tucked the 2 tickets into a pack of smokes and someone from the group on the other side would say 'got a smoke?' and the pack would get tossed back over the gate, repeat.Quote:

I was down at HANGOUT FEST about 4 years ago in Gulf Shores Alabama when we decided to head east to one of the most kick ass bars I have ever been in. The FLORA-BAMA bar (half of the bar is in Alabama, and half in Florida). It has 3 music stages...the place is massive.
When I walked in the entrance, there was an outdoor stage on the left and there was a band playing You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC. I could immediately tell though that we were in Alabama because there was an accordion and a banjo involved. Total hillbilly shit down there. It was interesting, but in that area, its pretty much camo, bama shirts and tattoos.
If it was these guys, they are great. Seen them live a couple of times. And yes Florabama is made to play up every redneck stereotype you can think of. It is a spring break mainstay along with going to La-vela in Panama City Beach.Quote:
