Former Chicago Bears defensive lineman Jeremiah Ratliff made death threats and claimed to be the devil during multiple visits to team headquarters on Oct. 21, according to the report released Friday by the Lake Forest Police Department.
Ratliff showed up at Halas Hall in no condition to work on the morning of Oct. 21, multiple people familiar with the situation have said. After Ratliff was sent home, driven away by someone else, the Bears decided to cut the four-time Pro Bowler.
After Ratliff was informed of his release, he returned to team headquarters, parked outside the security gate and came onto the property on foot, saying he needed to gather his belongings.
According to the police report, in which multiple names are redacted, Ratliff at one point said “he felt like killing everybody in the building.”
Ratliff left with his belongings without further incident during that particular visit.
John Tarpey, Bears director of safety and security, called the Lake Forest police department's non-emergency line. Audio was obtained by the Tribune.
"We'd like to have an officer come over," Tarpey calmly told the woman who answered the call. "We had an issue with a player. He left pretty upset, came back and then left again upset. We're a little concerned that he may come back again. So we'd like to have an officer over here, talk to him about it and see what we can do here."
Tarpey did not provide details over the phone when the woman asked more questions.
"I can explain it all to him when he gets here," Tarpey said. "It's kind of a long story."
According to the police report, Ratliff returned to Halas Hall a short while after he left for the second time, saying he needed to retrieve his cell phone. During that visit, he said, “I am the devil” and that he “wished staff member’s children would die.”
It was not clear from the report whether police arrived before Ratliff's third appearance. But team officials alerted police of their belief that Ratliff owns multiple firearms, the report says.
Ultimately, no charges were filed and Ratliff has not returned to Halas Hall since, according to Deputy Chief Karl Walldorf of the Lake Forest police department.
The Tribune's ongoing efforts to reach Ratliff have been unsuccessful.

Mississippi man sets off a bomb inside local Walmart because they would not sell Confederate Flags

A man is charged after allegedly setting off an explosive at a Mississippi Walmart Sunday morning.
Marshall W. Leonard, 61, of Tupelo, will be charged with placing an explosive device. Under Mississippi Code 97-37-25 he could get life in prison if convicted, the Tupelo Daily Journal reported.
Tupelo Police Chief Bart Aguirre said a vehicle pulled up to an entrance of the Walmart in North Gloster around 1:30 a.m.
“A white male got out, lit the package and threw it in the vestibule,” said Aguirre. “There was an employee on break, and the suspect told him, ‘You better run.’
“The employee did run and was away from harm when the package went off. It wasn’t a large explosion. It didn’t cause a lot of damage to the store.”
No one was injured in the incident. The remnants of the homemade explosive device have been sent to the crime lab.
A supporter of the Mississippi flag, Leonard railed against anyone who wanted it removed because it contained the Confederate battle flag. He spoke out against Walmart when the retail giant stop selling items that contained the Confederate battle flag.
Last Wednesday, Leonard posted threats on the Daily Journal Facebook page.
“Journal corporate, you are on final warning,” he wrote Oct. 28. “You are part of the problem. As a result of this, y’all are going down, along with Walmart, WTVA, Reeds department store, and all the rest of the anti-American crooks. I’m not kidding. No messing around anymore!”
Leonard was taken into custody after being stopped for a traffic violation. During the stop police quickly determined he was a suspect in the Walmart bombing. Leonard is set for an initial court appearance Tuesday.

A stag reveller woke up from a boozy night out with more than just a hangover to worry about.
After rubbing the sleep from his eyes the party-goer was stunned to look in the mirror and discover he had a pair of glasses tattooed on his face.
The man, who has not been named, at first hoped it was just marker pens that pals had drawn on him but after furious washing the reality soon dawned on him.
With blue lines around his eyes and the side of his head, the life-size tattoo even had the word "Rayban" crudely etched into his skin.

Lil Wayne has some bare walls, courtesy of the cops, who just seized some of the rappers extremely expensive pieces of art.
As TMZ reported, Miami-Dade County Sheriff's deputies raided Wayne's Miami Beach mansion Tuesday, armed with an order allowing them to seize Wayne's property to satisfy a $2 million judgment Wayne owes to a private jet company.
We're told Wayne has $30 million worth of art in the mansion, and cops took some of the pieces.
Our sources say cops brought along someone who valued the items inside the house so they could figure out what to seize.
We're also told deputies seized several plaques. It's unclear if they took a prized plaque he got for "Tha Carter" albums.
shout out to THA CARTER
also, how the fuck does this clown have 30 fucking million in artwork?
I think the black community has failed to figure out how to torrent music, because there is no way these black artists should have this much money. I have a feeling they are still spending lots of money on MP3 and ringtone downloads. Whites just steal that crap.

If you found $600 million in cash money, what would you do? Well, what if we told you it was from the late Pablo Escobar‘s stash?
Colombian farmer Jose Mariena Cartolos came across the drug lord’s fortune when he received a grant from the Colombian government to develop a palm oil plantation on his land, according to Don Diva. While digging and tilling the soil, he found containers filled to the brim with cash – money said to be a part of Escobar’s $30 billion fortune. If you watch Narcos on Netflix, you know that many drug lords amass so much money, they opt to bury some of it as opposed to laundering the proceeds.
Unfortunately, Cartolos won’t be able to keep his treasure. It will most likely go to fund “social and economic programs.” Colombian officials think the find will generate others to search for more of Escobar’s billions. If you’re brave, test your luck – there’s plenty of flight deals to Colombia happening at this very moment.
