That's what Gaddafi did shortly after we invaded Iraq. Gave up his nuclear program. Look where that eventually got him.

Aaah and there it is, "A staggering amount of Americans still believe Iraq was involved in 9/11", is that the perception of what Americans think, across the pond?
Perception is reality to those who never bother to ask.
Ignorance might be bliss but so is death.
I never thought Iraq, well it wasn't Iraq was it?, Saddam Hussein was a dictator that was put in place so i guess he was the one to blame, but was he?. By all accounts Saddam Hussein was a horrible human being, but he was no where near a religious Islamist. Saddam hated islam so much he fought a war to prevent it from dominating his country. Saddam was more of a pagan, think of the Babylonian pantheon, he said he was Nebuchadnezzar reincarnated. So no not all Americans think Iraq had anything to do with 9/11, as i remember, back in my libtard days, every democrat, literally every democrat i talked to said Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11.
Like it played out with most Middle East dictators. Saddam was our enemy, then our friend, then our enemy again.
The biggest mistake in modern history was to oust him. Because like you say, he had zero interest in spreading any sort of religious ideology to Western shores.
As for what percentage of Americans believed he was partially responsible for 9/11?.... You really don't want me to dig up the stats on that.
One of the big ticket items Bush had for post-Saddam Iraq was turning the Baghdad embassy into the biggest, most well financed, most technologically advanced CIA intelligence outpost on the planet, which would have loosened Israel's chokehold on Middle Eastern intelligence and also provided us a redundant foothold in the area should someone follow through on their threats and melt Jerusalem.
Im not going to argue either for or against that initiative, I'm only going to point out that the SHTF in Iraq once Obama refused to back the democratically elected leader chosen by the Iraqi people, because he wasnt our Joe. That was when everything fell apart in earnest. That was when the Republican Guard recognized the potential for exploiting a disenfranchised, exploited Sunni majority and Islamic State was born.
I'm just saying, you're not necessarily wrong, but the ISIS train had not left the station until after Obama interceded in that election.
Yep ISIS was always an inevitability without a stable government. And you could argue that the only stable government which did work, Was Saddam's government.
It's crazy how ISIS got their shit together and started up tho. Basically from jail with al-Baghdadi and his crew. A whole new ideology was born.
An incredible mess all started by our invasion. And we'll be dealing with the fallout for potentially decades.
There's a cracking BBC doc about it somewhere. The Shiite and Sunni damage is totally irreversible. Way too much injustice and blood split for them not to fight it out to the death now. It's brutal what they're doing to each other over there. Sunni's who think they're being liberated from ISIS control are pretty much being slaughtered as they come under Shia control after they clear out ISIS from village to village.
Anybody of fighting age coming out of Mosul after the recent liberation will be getting a bullet to the head. And the MSM are not reporting this genocide.
Are these books real?

So the U.S. will now go after Exxon Mobil and major donors to the Clinton Foundation?Quote:
What's in the bill?
The bill refers to sanctions on Russia, Iran and North Korea, and it substantially reduces the President's power to waive or ease certain sanctions without Congressional approval.
The Russian sanctions will target people and entities that:
-- undermine US cybersecurity on behalf of the Russia government
-- invest certain amounts in Russia's energy export pipelines
-- conduct "significant" transactions with Russian defense and intelligence agencies (though this will come into effect six months from now)
-- commit, or assist in, serious human rights abuses
-- commit acts of "significant" corruption
-- provide support to the Syrian government to acquire arms
-- invest, or facilitate the investment of, $10 million or more in the Russian government's privatization of any state-owned asset in a one-year period that could unfairly benefit government officials or their associates.
The bill lists 12 types of sanctions that can be imposed and obliges the President to use at least five in many cases against those affected. They can include freezing assets, such as property, revoking US visas and banning exports from the United States to those sanctioned.

Sorry to hear youre out of a job dish, but the good news is that you still got Obamacare.
The Atlantic reports that Rich Higgins, a former Pentagon official who served in the NSC’s strategic-planning office as a director for strategic planning, was ousted on July 21 over a memo he wrote that embraced wild conspiracy theories to explain the difficulties that Trump was experiencing trying to get his policy agenda passed.
“Higgins’s memo describes supposed domestic and international threats to Trump’s presidency, including globalists, bankers, the ‘deep state,’ and Islamists,” The Atlantic writes. “The memo characterizes the Russia story as a plot to sabotage Trump’s nationalist agenda. It asserts that globalists and Islamists are seeking to destroy America.”
Among other things, the memo alleges that “the left is aligned with Islamist organizations at local, national and international levels,” and that all President Trump’s enemies are engaging in what amounts to a “Maoist insurgency” against his administration.
“Maoist methodologies are described as synchronized violent and non-violent actions,” he wrote. “This approach envisions the direct use of non-violent operations arts and tactics as elements of combat power In Maoist insurgencies, the formation of a counter-state is essential to seizing state power. Functioning as a hostile compete state acting within an existing state, it has an alternate infrastructure.”

I'm not gonna think much of this even if in the book his sister's name is Ivanka and Don wore a red "Make a pair of ducks great again" hat. I'm not gonna give all that much thought to this...
But what do you feel was debunked in this article? Like just a couple sentences about what similarities were lied about or exaggerated I would very much appreciate it. I honestly don't want to read about this but I'd like your or anyone that agrees with him to write anything.
