They're harmless to his poll numbers. He's been a stuttering mess in all the debates and it hasn't affected his poll numbers.
Here's some light reading as you watch "reasonable" Klobuchar speak at this debate: http://nymag.com/intelligencer/2019/...-a-decade.html
11 months old but is still
:solidgold
With that said, I'd rather have her as President than anyone else on that stage.
If you think she beats up her staff, just wait until you see what she'll do to Donald Trump!
Correct.
Biden has been a gaffe machine his whole career. It's not just because he's old now. This is what held him back from progressing beyond Senator, and he only became VP because Obama was nervous about losing Pennsylvania, and he chose Biden before the 2008 financial crash pretty much assured his election anyway.
People who like Biden have known about his faults for decades, so gaffes at the debates (or any other time) don't hurt him.
Similarly, Trump's outrageous behavior doesn't hurt him much, because again, his supporters already know and accept it about him.
Candidates lose support when their existing supporters learn new details about them which are troublesome. If the supporters have already accepted a candidate's existing faults, then it's a lot harder to knock them down. The only way to eclipse such candidates is to generate excitement about yourself, to where people jump over to you because they like you, not because the other guy sucks. This is what Barack Obama did to Hillary in 2008. Bernie tried to do it to Hillary in 2016, but he stumbled because black voters didn't like him, and honestly he had little appeal outside of young people and white rural Democrats.
Pete was very flat. I think he might get 4th in Iowa now.
No idea why they didn't attack Biden.
Now he's going to skate through and win this thing. Huge mistake.

Yep, Biden got off very easy in the last debate before voting happens. Debate could've been much worse for him. I think little Amy and Pete want admin jobs as a backup.
Except that many Republicans who simply would never vote for Hillary might now be shopping the Democratic side. There is no momentum and blind acceptance from these folk. I consider myself among them. I never paid any serious attention to Biden, Sanders, Mayor Pete previously.
Maybe voters like me aren’t important.
Democrats are gonna fuck this up.
Warren had some words for Sanders after the debate, and rejected his handshake
lol..
right now iowa is up for grabs.
petey, bernie and biden. anyone of the 3 can take it down .

ngl I like angry bernie. Like I get that his policies are probably kinda trash, but I like him on a personal level.
*fuck* warren.
Not only can't a woman become President of the United States, she can't become Vice President.
If a woman became President she would age much faster than normal.
It would be a losing ticket.
Remember Geraldine Ferraro and Walter Mondale in 1984?

I'm kind of feeling like Warren is about to explode and go really hard on Bernie.
Will probably be the first genuine moment of her campaign.
I'm guessing Warren approached him and said something like, "Why did you lie up there? You know you told me that a woman will have a harder time winning. Why are you trying to make me look like the liar when it's you?"
And Bernie was all, "Meh", and just turned around and walked away.
:lol
Yep, I'm guessing she said something along those lines too. She wants to drum up more media buzz about this story while acting like she doesn't really want to talk about it. Guess we could just ask Steyer what was said since he was right there and nobody cares about him
imagine taking pride in something so pathetic as voting for one of these babies
Trump is using his valuable time to attack *checks notes* Tom Steyer
Trump: Steyer is running low on cash.
Fact check: Very very false
Hoo boy
Here's how to watch the debate after-the-fact:

Part 2: https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/...owa-part-2.cnn

Can someone explain why two 31-year-olds were moderating this debate?
Is this some sort of appeal to millennials to watch the debate or something?
Do these debates even matter?
Joe Biden probably came off best in the debate.
He was acting fairly competent and didn't commit any major embarrassing gaffes.
The only way Pete Buttigieg can win Iowa is if pigs are allowed to vote.
Try Googling "Donald Trump" right now...
The number one result is a political ad for Mike Bloomberg. LOL.
https://www.businessfast.co.uk/wp-co...-2020-election
Joe Biden supported George W. Bush and the Iraq war.
Actually... yes. Primary debates tend to have a great deal of importance, whereas general election debates tend to be much less important. This is because ideological lines in the primary are a lot closer together than in the general election. This makes it easier for people to jump from one candidate to another, whereas in the general, people pretty much already have their minds made up and a debate isn't going to cause them to hop from D to R or vice versa. The debates were largely responsible for the rise and fall of Harris. They also play a role in winnowing the field, although I guess Bloomberg is trying to disprove that (spoiler alert: he's going to fail).
A better question would be, did this debate matter? I don't think anybody in this particular debate had a "standout" moment enough to move poll numbers in a meaningful way. Although Iowa is so close that small moves at the margins could make a big difference. Overall I'd say it was a bad debate for Amy and Pete (especially Amy) because they most needed to have a "moment" in the debate. Whereas Biden is probably content to just chug along. I think it's too early to say how the Warren/Sanders feud will play out, but that's the debate "moment" that will get the most playback.
so, there's a real danger that the bernie bros will vote trump or third party if he loses, right?
breitbart is hyping up how cnn was unfair to bernie. i wonder why'd they do that?
i expect the russian bots to be going hard on how poorly bernie was treated if biden wins.
This is what happens when you hire green 30 year olds to moderate an important Presidential debate.
The two women were both 31, looked/acted/sounded 25, and you could tell they were nervous.
I think this was CNN's attempt to show that young people care about politics, too, but it backfired. Now everyone's pissed about that line of questioning to/about Bernie.
:fail2
These questions by CNN are stupid as fuck.
Quote:
Des Moines, she noted, is an “insurance town.” What will happen to the poor insurance company employees if “Medicare for All” replaces the private insurance industry?
Quote:
“Senator Sanders, your campaign proposals would double federal spending over the next decade, an unprecedented level of spending not seen since World War II. How would you keep your plans from bankrupting the country?”
Quote:
“Senator Warren,” Wolf Blitzer asked, “Why does it make sense for the government ― for the government to manufacture drugs, especially when public trust in government is near historic lows?”
CNN - come up with better questions or shut the fuck up.

Andddd Warren wins the debate.
