Excellent idea. Am jealous I didn't think of it myself.

Questions:
If Peter Falcone is not a gambling addict, why is he sometimes living on the street (and hiding this from everyone he knows) despite all of the money he successfully scams from people?
If Peter Falcone's hatred of sex is just an angle, what is it gaining him? Saying that you hate sex can actually make you come off as weird, which is never good for a guy running scams. A guy like Peter could be a lot more successful by simply dropping a line like, "The physical part of a relationship isn't important to me. It's what's inside a woman's heart that matters to me, and the closeness we achieve is what's most rewarding." The women would fall into his arms and think he was the most wonderful man to ever walk this earth. Telling people that you value loving relationships over meaningless sex can score big points with women, but claiming to actually hate sex itself will usually just hurt you and raise red flags. I think this is legitimate. The girl Stephanie I referred to is very open about really liking sex, and wouldn't have looked down on him for enjoying sex himself.
In short, I do believe Peter to be asexual, and I do believe him to be a gambling addict.
However, I also believe him to be a sociopath and a heartless scammer and con artist.
I believe that most of the scamming is done to feed his gambling addiction, but that's not an excuse. Even if Peter wasn't a gambler, he'd probably still be scamming people.
I also believe he does get a rush from people thinking he's a wonderful and generous person. He likes when he takes people out to nice meals or gives them amazing concert tickets, and he knows that they're saying to themselves, "Wow, I'm having such a great time, and it's all thanks to Peter Falcone!" I don't think he is deriving enjoyment out of making people happy, but rather enjoys that he's getting credit for it.
It's just another distraction in his arsenal. Something else to talk about or to stand out about him other than what is really happening. How many priest to we see as pedophiles? All they did is talk non stop of the sin of sex, so why can't Peter say he hates it and be freak in the bedroom? We don't know and I really don't care. I've said over and over again read The Sociopath Next Door, and you will have a whole new take on Peter.
Thank you, Chinamaniac. The more people talk about their dealings with him the better. I understand if you do not want to say more, but I would be curious to hear more....did he try to open up lines of communication with your friends in the dinner of 8? One of the things that struck me was as soon as the scam broke...I had to call a huge amount of my own friends and explain the guy was a scam artist........every single one of them had a very hard time believing it and I really had to work hard to make them realize the whole thing was truly a mirage. They all benefitted a lot from his splashing. I hesitate to call it generosity because it was clearly investment on his part to reap later....just some people were fortunate to avoid the reaping. I am sure in his mind, his victims deserve some of what they get because they accepted the comps from him -- however, he pushes pushes pushes and the comps he was giving out were very clearly used to build the deception. Also, how much a benefit is one of these comps if it is something you wouldn't have wanted in his absence. I recall the example of the other radio host here -- name is something like Brandon "Drexel" Drexel or something like that -- he was "comped" a suite at one of the hotels. Then he ended up having to pay for it because the "comp" was a deception that folded up before the stay ended. While he did receive everything he had to pay for -- at the end of the day, it is not something the guy would have ever wanted or paid for on his own. A lot of Peter's comps were this way and, query, whether the potential victims are truly receiving a value if it is not something they would have wanted absent the gift nature of it.
Who knows when it comes to sex? He's probably not asexual, just because it's rare to truly be asexual. Half the fun in random sex is the chase and seduction, and this guy is practicing seduction of a different sort every day. When you think about the time and effort he spends to cultivate a scam that nets him an amount that he may chunk off in a night, sex is almost boring in comparison to the rush of walking the wire between staying in a suite or sleeping on the street tonight.
Fuck, when I am stressed and have a bunch of balls in the air I hardly think about sex. For me that's an occasional day, for him that has to be his entire existence. I'm not asexual that day. I'm just preoccupied. He's preoccupied with gambling every day. His mistress is the sportsbook, and if he has a big score and there's no action, it's probably some discreet escort that he would never talk about because it would be contrary to the image he is trying to put out. Dude seems like a chameleon telling someone whatever he thinks they want to hear. If he was with some brash, misogynistic mark who loved the Bunny Ranch, he'd probably be the filthiest motherfucker that guy has ever met if it would serve his ends. When he's with respectable people, he's likely a harmless guy. Usually something beyond biology creates sociopaths, so it's possible some childhood experience fucked him up and he's telling the truth, or something in prison messed him up. Either way, his sex is being in action, and his seduction seems to be wooing potential marks.
Druff, is there a reason why this nice lady had her account locked after 2 posts? Some type of verification? Just curious?
Is everybody living on the street a gambling addict? I do not think so. I think the people living on the streets are there for a variety of reasons. Falcone's reason is that his addiction is to inflicting pain on other people, and he cares more about getting a power trip high from inflicting hurt on somebody whose trust he manipulated than he cares about where he lives. In terms of where all the money goes that he successfully scams, he uses all the money to seed future victims....he is a conveyor belt just taking money from one victim and using it to set up the next. He basically blows money not on gambling but on splashing it on potential victims. I think you were the beneficiary of some of this blown money. You are just fortunate that his house of cards fell apart before he could reap from you. You better believe he would have if he had the opportunity. So, that is where I think the money goes -- to people he is setting up for his next scam. Have I successfully answered your question? If not, let's have an open debate about it. Maybe I misunderstood your point.
This is actually a very good and interesting point. I think that is right....he is not deriving any enjoyment from making people happy. He does enjoy gaining credibility with people. In fact,I think he derives secret joy in the fact that the truth is he is a sh*t eating scum, but through a few little tricks he is able to manipulate peoples' minds into believing he is an amazing person. At bottom, he is a manipulator and that is his thing. His joy comes from the successful manipulation. That manipulation takes many forms. Unfortunately, one of the sharpest and most pungent forms of manipulation he practices is the extreme pain infliction manipulation.
Is this girl, Stephanie, the same person who wanted to visit him in prison? It looks to me that whatever things he told her, they had the desired effect if she wanted to visit him in prison.
Look, the guy is very very charming. He comes across very very well. He is a master at that. That is his thing. Maybe some people see the not liking sex thing as weird. My gut is that Falcone is always sizing up his audience and always trying different angles. Am sure he shoots that angle a lot and am sure there are cases where it doesn't work. However, on balance it does seem to work.
Also, his work needs to be taken in totality. Maybe he said this to your friend and she thought it was weird -- however, it was one aspect of a long car ride. He was working his thing the whole car ride and it appears (unless I am mistaken) that he did build a fan in her. He did enough for her to introduce him to you. He succeeded in the manipulation he was trying to effect even if he didn't bat 1.000 with Stephanie.
If Stephanie really likes sex and that is what she was after, then maybe he was playing hard to get. Maybe he makes himself look like this amazing guy so that she wants to seduce him to turn him from his asexual ways. Maybe he is pulling one of the pick up artist tricks....the neg....basically he is like saying...i am not so interested in sex as a way to say secretly -- a girl has to be really amazing to turn me and you do not do it. This sort of neg is strangely attractive to women (read the book by an author named Strauss about pick up artists and you will see what I am talking about).
The main point needs to be that it is completely irrelevant whether he is asexual or not. It has no bearing on anything. All that is relevant is his deceptions.
Do you think he feels any guilt when he scams people and is just addicted to it and that is all he knows? Like let's say NoNameplease shipped him 100,000. Do you think in the back of his mind he has any sort of "Fuck I just screwed them hard" but he knows he has to move onto the next thing.
Also if he wasn't a gambling addict he could potentially be retired right now.
Excellent and insightful question. I do not think he feels any guilt. Having known him personally, I would have thought he would feel guilt. However, once I read the Martha Stout book, it opened my eyes and made me all of a sudden realize that there are actually people out there incapable of feeling guilt. If you have not read that book, I strongly encourage you to read it. Having experienced Falcone -- once you read that book it is going to be eerie, but it is also going to help you understand the phenomenon that he is a lot better.
In terms of the gambling addiction point....how much money do you think he has blown on other people? There is no question he blows money on people and he loses money gambling (although in the gambling he has two bites at the apple because he can use his gambling losses to built up creds with potential victims). My take is that he loses more money seeding it into future victims than he does gambling (sometimes he actually does hit winners in the gambling -- although not on a net basis of course). However, it might be something worth investigating.......I have heard stories of his extravagant spending on people that easily tops any of the stories I have heard about his big bets. I really do not know any gambling addicts who steal money so they can give gifts to and impress strangers. That just does not fit the profile of gambling addicts I know. Most gambling addicts are too concerned about getting their jones to be spending valuable money on something that doesn't give them a high.
I do not think he has ever had retirement money at any one point. Sure he has swindled many millions of dollars from people, but that has been spread out over time and he has been using that swindled money to set up future scams.
There has been a lot of talk about how Peter spends money on people and doesnt want anything in return and how that doesnt fit the profile of an addicted gambler. However, I would say that almost all addicted gamblers/scammers dont have bankrolls anywhere near what Peter was rolling with. For him to drop 1k on dinner is nothing if he has 100k in wagers out for the weekend. It may buy him more victims at a relatively low expense. I do also think he likes being the big guy and having people talk about him.
He likes the casino not only because it feeds his addiction, but there is probably no safer place for him. Unless Peter cheated the casino itself, the casinos dosnt give a fuck what he has done and will treat him like a king/spew machine he is. If someone confronts him in casino and becomes aggressive, security will be there less than 30 secs and get rid of attacker. If you think about it, casinos are a great place for a scammer to be if they have lots of enemies.
The angle with DD members seemed to just be getting access to bookies. He definitely tries to find out as much about you or your family. He probably does this to use it against you after he owns your face. For example, he might tell you to let the 100k debt go or he will need to inform your wife of something you did in Vegas.
One thing I noticed was he always seemed speedy. He was always pacing, nervous and couldn't sit still for any long period of time. It sounds as if Peter doesnt do drugs so this could have been nerves with everything going on at the time I met him. But I have never seen someone so amped up without being on drugs.
My experience with him was a good one. I liked the guy. I knew him just at the point everything started going south for him. I know this is easy to say in retrospect but there is no way he would have scammed me for any large amount. The most he would have gotten out of me would have been 5k and I would have given it to him thinking worse case i lose what he had already given me in comps.
Well, it is hard argue against the proposition that there are way more compulsive gamblers with small bankrolls than compulsive gamblers with large bankrolls. I suppose it borders on a truism. However, there have been sick compulsive gamblers with massive bankrolls. Leonard Tose quickly leaps to mind. The Japanese guy who blew all the money from the sale of his father's company and then was sued by the casinos is another one. I have heard that some very well known poker players have had some serious six digit losses in the pits (TJ Cloutier and Phil Ivey leap to mind) -- although i do not know if they fit in the category of compulsive gambler. Of the guys that are compulsive gamblers with the very big bankrolls, I still do not think it is normal for them to splash money over complete strangers. I just do not buy that this is normal behavior for these sorts of people (with the possible exception of Stu Ungar -- who nobody ever accused of being a con artist). However, this line of argument is irrelevant ab initio. There is no way that Falcone can in any way be classified in this category of whales. While Falcone has stolen millions, it has taken place over more than 20 years. I find it very hard to believe that over the 20+ years there were more than one or two momentarily flashes where his bankroll was in six figures (maybe your brief experience with him was one of those momentary flashes). For the most part, his bankroll was nothing more than the cash that he would flash. In the 8.5 months I was exposed to him, it was not even a close call....he was spending more money splashing money on people than he was gambling (and he explained away his relatively modest gambling -- the real gambling was what his day job was working for Billy Walters on Billy Walter's bankroll -- his own gambling was simple recreation and nothing more).
But, let's look at this from another perspective -- why do I care so much that people not call him a compulsive gambler? I believe that compulsive gamblers are human beings that are basically good people who have fallen victim to a disease. If they hurt other people, the feel awful about it. While they do need treatment, I feel a measure of sympathy for them. Falcone is pure evil and he is trying to put himself in the place of people who genuinely deserve the sympathy by classifying himself with them. Look at it this way -- when Ted Bundy was about to be executed for torturing and killing numerous young women, he tried to escape responsibility by claiming he was addicted to pornography and that it was the addiction to pornography that caused him to do it. I would be very angry about this in the same way. A person who is genuinely addicted to pornography needs help and is not out there purposefully chopping up innocent people. The guy who is trying to lump himself together with these addicts to escape responsibility for chopping up all those women is the lowest of the low. That is why I feel the way I do.
Now, for people who disagree with me, ask yourself the same question -- why do you care so much that Peter be called a compulsive gambler? I think the reason is the following -- it is almost impossible to comprehend that sociopaths exist. If you learn what they really are, it is very scary and unsettling. People do not like things that do not fit within their understanding of the world (to imagine a human being with no guilt whatsoever; who does not think or feel in any way like you do -- it is a very scary proposition). So, to understand what is going on here, people just want to put him into the compulsive gambler box rather than face the other possibility. I cannot believe there is any person who has read the Martha Stout book who does not agree with me. I suspect that everybody taking the opposite view has not yet read that book.
The fact that your experience with him was a good one only proves my point further. The 10+ friends of mine who Peter interacted with all had a good time with him. The truth is, until the final moment, I actually had a good time with him. Nobody says you do not have a good time with Falcone. The point is that this bonhomie is the sociopath's weapon. That is how people get caught so unawares. If you read the book on sociopaths, you will see that this only further drives home the point. All my friends who met Peter were in the same boat as you. However, being front row witnesses to what happened to me, they fully realize that sociopaths are real. A true phenomenon.
Didn't read all that but its obvious the dude is an addicted gambler. You don't make a nice score, and instantly Run to the book to make 5 figure bets without having a problem. You can tell by his bet sizing that he has a gambling problem. Starting with huge bets, and working his way down to $300 bets at freemont street. Hes betting whatever he can afford to bet. And what difference doesn't it make if he uses the money he scores to show off to others, spending money on them lavishly? Thats part of his con. I've known plenty of addicted gamblers anyway that are very generous when they have money, but very shady when they don't.
As for the asexual thing, maybe he is, maybe he isn't. I'm leaning towards he probably isn't.... But who knows, and who really cares?
It seems like everywhere he goes people treat him like hes God, like the manager at that restaurant he went to with china and that crew for example. Are all of these people just people that he tipped a few hundred before he went in to treat him like that? I remember when the micon/justin smith thing came out everywhere they went people were treating justin smith like god too micon said. I assume he just did the same thing, and tipped people to act like that? LOL probably a good technique to get laid too if yer trying to show off to a 10.
Peter, if you read this and get out on bail somehow, come and find me @ the rio and we can talk sports, life and I will buy you a steak dinner
Petey made a brief appearance in court today, his lawyers were waiting on files from the State of New York so today's bail reduction hearing as been postponed until July 16, and from there he is entitled to a speedy trial within 30 days of July 16.
Are you able to estimate the total $ he has scammed/stolen from people? People must be coming out of the woodwork.
It appears that many of the poker type scams I am reading about are hard to criminally prosecute, but the straight theft ones obviously are different. Curious how many times be just became a straight burglar, wrote bad checks, etc. type thief ?
Would be interesting to see how he does in prison. From what I have read scammers seem to do well in prison. They are probably naturally good at adapting to the environment. :-)
We might be looking at another continuance for Peter today in court, I will post an update once today's proceedings end.
Hold on to your wallets a little more tightly, Petey may be on the verge of being released today. Stand by for updates.
Plea Deal, 3 year suspended sentence and time served and he has to enroll in a useless gambling treatment program. He will be released today.
Pathetic
Not sure if this was serious or a joke.....but, it takes on relevance given that Peter Falcone is back out on the streets today and can now take you up on your offer....if you do take him out for a steak dinner.....why don't you come back here and report about it?
Can you post the name of the woman who paid for his attorney, or send it to me privately?
I would love to call her on radio and confront her about this.
What a terrible injustice.
Was it the woman he gave the kidney to that paid for the lawyer? If someone gave me a kidney, I'd be pretty fucking grateful. Her I could understand. Anyone else is an idiot.
pete is god
Makes me sick. A TOTAL JOKE. Our judicial system sucks.
Any sightings of Peter Falcone? Not sure the terms of the release, but I wonder if he was denied access to casinos or no victim contact.
