Just stumbled upon this thread today and listened to interview. I don’t know how you stayed so cool when he was being condescending.

I get why you were polite. You were hoping it would open him up, and he’d view you as having an open mind. You also want future interviews with the next guy who you want to talk to. It is kinda funny that for the person who asked what's the latest with Mikki (these past few days), the latest thing I could find was from Druff's last radio show where there is a Mikki segment...mostly Mikki is talking about how he almost got banned from the WSOP (seems to have this weird you're banned/you're welcomed thing going on with him at a lot of properties)...

I did see an update on one of the Main Event Day 1s where they reported Mikki Mase with 0 chips (busted).

Can't recall what Day 1 it was.

Spencer totally shit the bed with Mikki and it looked like he buried it and at least made me believe he forgot it ever happened. The worst part is the record was left ambiguous and Spencer removed a pinned comment admitting he was probably duped. As Druff says often, it is human nature to soften criticism once you meet someone in person. But what Spencer has done with Mikki has far surpassed “softening”.

Although seemingly everyone with a few brain cells knows Mikki is a bullshit artist. He’s a good talker, but once he keeps talking his stories both contradict themselves & pass the threshold of any kind of reasonability at some point. Spencer has made a great living for himself and I take my hat off. He saw this market was ripe with endless material and demolished it. But if his channel is both for profit and awareness, he has failed inthe latter on Mikki, that’s for sure.

There are grains of truth in his lies. Any good story teller will take some artistic license. Let’s face it, most of life can be pretty mundane. Some guys become pathological when taking this license. The hyperbole is stated so much and stretched so much that I really think that is how the memory has changed in their heads.

Take Blizerian. Every interview he adds some new wrinkle never stated before about his gambling winnings. Ironically both himself and Mikki both told their tales on this No Jumper podcast (Adam we really need Jason Sample on this thing to talk Baccarat).

The latest one from Blizerian is he ran private games where he was crushing the game and getting tipped out close to 100K sometimes. LMFAO. Guys losing their asses to him and then still tip him out like he’s Molly Bloom. Fucking nonsense. In Druff’s interview with Mikki his new wrinkle was “Baccarat Private Games”. This was a way to deal with the call for win/loss statements (of course which were never produced).

I wish Spencer all the best but have no interest in another spin session with himself and Mikki. Spencer should keep this whole saga buried deep.

JD, I agree. Anything shy of a video where Mikki takes Spencer to numerous casinos and request win/loss statements would be a complete fail. This is a propaganda piece couched in the guise of a poker “staking/WSOP” informational video. There are 1,000s of men/women who could of been an exponentially better representative for the poker community than Mikki.

This video serves to further rehabilitate & legitimize Mikki and it’s such a gross misrepresentation. It’s rationalized by Mikki speaking about the dangers of gambling at the end. Which is a good message in general but doesn’t mitigate the damage the video will do to the uninitiated. It really is nauseating.

I think Spencer has pretty much ran out of video ideas. In the description near the top, he has an email address to submit “video ideas.”

A good way to engage with his subscribers and get ideas would be to offer $500 to $1000 for video ideas that he ends up using.

Finding gambling right after becoming a trust fund recipient is about the worst thing you can get into, second to only drugs. In the comments on one of the threads someone claimed to have went to high school with Mikki. They say he was such a problem in high school that the parents sent him to live with his Grandfather.

Mikki is a good talker and is lazy with his homework. For whatever reason (I’ll never be in the position) the male ego seems to have a major problem simply embracing the fact that they come from money. Mikki is a poor man’s Blizerian in this regard. Females tend to embrace coming from money much easier. There are no studies that I know of, but it seems to me to be the trend.

Look at the similarities with Blizerian. Both come from money and corruption. If Mikki is not lying about his father, they both have father’s who did time. Both have a clear Napoleonic complex. Both are good talkers and lie their asses off. Both desperately wanted fame to go along with the money. The cherry on top is the countless contradictions they both corner themselves into by not tracking their lies.

So they both used gambling as a rationalization for their money. The difference is Blizerian picked poker which is beatable. Either the hard way against everyone or by getting into soft private games. Not only is the game beatable but the money isn’t tracked outside tournaments.

Mikki was a dumb shit and picked Baccarat. Which we know can’t be beat. He still insists it can be but you notice now he’s sort of coming to the realization that presenting himself as a professional poker player is by far the better way to do this. So I would look for him to continue to pivot away slightly from Baccarat.

Also these guys who run private games & livestreams and the pros who play in them want Mikki in these high stakes games donating. Pros will basically put up with just about anything if they have an edge on someone. A lot more than someone disturbing the pit games and trashing hotel rooms. Casinos need to worry about liability with this guy. But as long as he got the buy in, the high stakes poker community will always find him a seat.

I just wanted to clarify something when it comes to Mikki & Spencer. Most of us believe that Blizerian is full of shit. But it doesn’t really matter because it is what it is. He’s not a “scammer” in the sense we think of the word. He gets discussed from time to time when he makes news for running a company into the ground or not fulfilling commitments to his contract as a poker ambassador. But I could give two shits about the guy otherwise.

When it comes to Mikki, you will notice this thread on him started with BWB posting Spencer’s first video, where he is largely showing clips from Mikki’s interview on the No Jumper Podcast. A podcast I don’t listen to and didn’t even know about. Spencer I knew of because of his Steve Steven’s video and then his video on Christopher Mitchell. I’m not a regular viewer of Spencer either.

I am no moralist and in general don’t care what people like Mikki do as long as they aren’t scamming vulnerable people. I don’t have much sympathy for rich guys who get convinced to let Mikki gamble their money. I assume and hope most can afford it and many eventually learn a costly lesson.

There came a point in time where Mikki seemed to be soliciting funds to play baccarat from the general public. That I certainly take issue with. However, that was many months ago and it looks like that idea has been scrapped. Mikki seems to mainly pull this stuff with guys who can afford it.

That being said, I think this thread is important because there is no one on YouTube who has the size and clout to correct the record. The record that has been set by Spencer here. It is doubtful that anyone with a comparable following of 500K subscribers is going to put out a video about just how wrong Spencer is here.

Mikki is definitely no moron. Befriending Spencer and manipulating him was imperative. He clearly has been working over Spencer for some time now. Actually to Adam of No Jumper’s credit, he gave more pushback on Baccarat not being beatable than Spencer has. Obviously Druff’s interview with Mikki was the most telling by far.

As I stated in an earlier post Spencer’s last video that was supposed to be about poker tournaments and staking is really horrendous. But in all honesty, it’s probably good for the poker ecosystem. There are going to be some total gullible morons showing up at the poker tables thinking poker is way easier than it is (Just look at the Youtube comments).

So for me the most intriguing part about Mikki was when I watched a good amount of his interview on No Jumper. It was fascinating to watch someone just talk nonstop nonsense. Once again, I don’t know this guy Adam but he did a decent job under the circumstance. It’s a podcast and Adam I’m sure didn’t know he was just going to be bullshitted for 2 hours.

I just can’t wrap my head around what Spencer has put out and how any of us can give him one shred of credibility any longer. I guess it really is all about the dough.

Oops. I let that slip by without even thinking about it, but you're right.

There may not even have been a stake. It might have been Mikki's money the whole way, and the "stake" was for the video. They never explained why a multi-millionaire like Mikki needs a stake into a $1000 event.

I'm also not sure if Mikki told these hand histories correctly. It's possible he made himself sound worse than he actually was. He may not have realized that calling off with the TT overpair is much worse when it's big-stack-versus-big-stack than when one or both people have a small or medium stack. He may have been trying to brag about being a big stack in order to make himself look skilled albeit unlucky, and inadvertently had that make him look like a gigantic fish who can't lay down a hand in an obvious spot.

The "old woman misclick" might have been partially true. It's possible that Mikki raised, the old woman accidentally threw out chips to raise instead of call (and then said so), and the third guy went over on both of them. While I agree that this could be seen as a possible steal attempt on the third guy's part, if you're trying to police this with TT and are committing yourself to go all in on any low board, you're still being reckless unless that third guy is known to be overaggro. The guy had KK so he probably wasn't an aggrofish, and Mikki just read the whole thing incorrectly.

Spencer expects people to look to him for advice on avoiding scammers - meanwhile we watched him be completely manipulated by Mikki in his videos, to the point of promoting that he was given the "opportunity" to "invest" $1,000 in Mikki's tournament 100% of the buy in for 25% of the winnings....

Any amount of digging into Mikki's claims about poker, and his knowledge of the game would raise A LOT of questions.
Spencer REALLY dropped the ball and doesn't seem to have done any type of due dilligence.

Instead he seems to have spent his time coming up with cringe "jokes" which he seems to think are clever- maybe its just not my humor.
