In other news, I guess I never really paid attention to the Paul George girlfriend saga, but it's fascinating.
It's described here: https://heavy.com/sports/2019/04/dan...ge-girlfriend/
Cliffs:
- Paul impregnated stripper Daniela Rajic in 2014.
- He offered her $1 million to get an abortion but she refused.
- She filed a paternity suit against him.
- Once paternity was confirmed, Paul came to terms with her, agreeing to a large "financial support package" and sharing custody.
- He got her pregnant again in 2017, in an apparent one-night stand.
- They're now together as a couple, and there's a rumor that he's gotten her pregnant yet again.
She's not stripping anymore. Why bother at this point?

Please idiots like cousins was the key to our season we still have the one and only javale McGee at the 5
BUMP
Season starting on October 22.
Cousins will be out for the season without having played 1 game for the Lakers.
However, the Lakers only paid $3.5m for him, so this isn't devastating. They were granted a $1.75m disability cap exception because of this.
Lakers will be playing the Clippers on opening day, which was expected to feature Lebron/Davis versus Kawhi/George, but George won't be ready until sometime in November, due to his own injury.
Looking forward to the NBA season, even though I don't think the Lakers will be good enough to compete for a title. But they should make the playoffs this year.
It's going to be wild in the west now that the Warriors have been neutered.
Lakers probably have the biggest range of outcomes: I could see them anywhere from a top-2 seed all the way to eighth (do not think they miss playoffs, barring injuries). I could see them winning the title, and I could see them getting bounced in the first round.
I think my Blazers have a huge range of possibilities, too (but not title ambition).
Lebron took last season off and it's quite possible he comes back and destroys the league. Anthony Davis is an absolute stud. Unfortunately, they shipped off the rest of their good players (Kuzma is just ok, imo) and future to get him.
But just the best versions of LBJ and Davis are enough. I don't think Lebron can be at the level in his peak Miami seasons, but who knows, after a year of rest and half assed effort, maybe the batteries are recharged.
Clippers vs Sixers or Celtics in the Finals. With the Western Conference Finals all at Staples Center
have to get to the west, but just listened to simmons/russillo and here's what im pondering on for the east:
NYK U 27.5 -122
PHL O 54.5 -110
CHA U 23.5 -110
WSH U 27.5 -150
Heat to win the Southeast -120...taking this one over taking them O 43.5 -137...I want to get some exposure to Spo and think that the cheapest way to do it is a division win...
Yeah I forgot that the NBA only plays 4 games against teams in their own division. And their division is still crap, just like last year.
But yeah I think they're winning over 43. I would fire on it myself but I don't have patience to wait this shit out for so many months.
true, that fucking blows...but think with the NBA being fairly predictable, it's probably some of the best futures wagering you can get on...
PHL is the only one that kinda worries me, just from a "load management" standpoint...but I think the east is shit enough and they have enough talent that they can still beat the hell outta the teams that they need to when they're pulling that "load management" shit...
just listened to the west podcast...
lotta interesting nuggets, but picked out just 2...
GS U 47.5 EV
HOU O 53.5 -139
kerr confirmed that klay most likely to miss the entire season which is nice...
love me some Houston as a regular season dominant team...
really wanted to take UTH O 53.5, but passed on it...like that team a lot, but just cant get there...
Watching Laker game. Started out strong, but finished up the first quarter with a lineup of:
Cook
Howard
Dudley
Pope
Daniels
And it went bad.
Yikes.
Knicks are making the 8th seed and going to lose in 5 in the first round
AD really faded in the second half, but if I were a Lakers fan I'm psyched tonight because Lebron looks entirely different from last year. Nice to see him give a shit again.
Danny Green is going to feast with all the wide open looks he'll get. But man, that roster looks thin...
Now that the Warriors have been neutered and there's no superteams anymore, the Clippers may actually have enough to win the title this year.
We shall see.
I would be very surprised if it's the Lakers, though.
AAAAAAAAAAAAND WE LOST TO THE CLIPPERS SEASON OVER SEE YOU IDIOTS NEXT YEAR NBA DEAD TO ME
**Boston Celtics**
Kemba Walker
Jaylen Brown
Jayson Tatum
Gordon Hayward
Enes Kanter
its a pretty formidable starting lineup and having marcus smart, daniel theis, semi ojeleye, robert williams, poirier and the rookies carsen edwards, grant williams and romeo langford coming off the bench. (Tacko Fall on a 2way contract, dark horse development material)
if they can build chemistry and stevens can rotate guys in properly and find good suited lineups they could be in the mix come the playoffs.
Lebron James is almost 35, and his body has a lot of wear on it because he's been in the NBA since 2003 (!!)
He didn't look quite right last night. Now, it's true that his teams usually start off slow, and it's true that they were facing a good Clippers defense, but it really is possible that his age is finally showing.
Lebron can't be Lebron forever. People are taking or granted how much basketball players tend to decline in their mid-30s.
What is the intent of this post, I wonder.
Wasn’t your last LeBron post “something something playoff mode”?
You can’t walk that back. You believed. You are a fan. You’re West Coast and it’s a congenital weakness. You aren’t strong enough to survive this condition long term, buddy.
The Lakers destroyed their franchise with this lazy acquisition. LeBron was old then and he’s a little older now. Worse, he’s a cancer.
Look, I already own that storyline. However, I am a forward looking gentleman and the notion of Kawhi taking LA from LeBron fills me with a lot of newfound optimism and joy.
Look at this. LeBron has gotta be dying inside.

Sorry BCR.
Sorry wow. Gimme one more.
The end of the commercial...
This is his job
...it’s going well
This is his city
Shots fired.
Moar please. Buckle up or does LeBron fold?
The guy is understated and likable - the polar opposite of Druff’s boy.

Sanlmar, I said the Lakers would make the playoffs.
Not that they'd contend.
You are responding to an NBA strawman here.

But if this is just an excuse to keep jerking your meat to Kawhi Leonard, then by all means continue.
Also the Celtics looked dysfunctional and overrated tonight, as per usual.
Why I bet the over on them, I'll never know.
sixers defense is as good as advertised. i already love thybulle. simmons looked like he was an nba2k character last night
Been listening to podcasts and talk radio reaction to the game, and it is interesting how all the talk is about how Lebron ran out of gas in the 2nd half and kawhi surged. I actually watched the whole game and while the clippers went on their run at the beginning of the 4th to gain separation the truth is Lebron generated a ton of open 3 point looks for supposed 3 point specialists (cook, Daniels, KCP) and they missed every one. His own 3 bal was off too, but that isn’t a big surprise as it often is.
If the lakers wings make a few of their open 3’s the game goes a lot different. Also, Harrell really abused them down low. The lakers went small and took out their centers and neither lebron or Davis wanted anything to do with covering Harrell, so he was abusing the wings covering him (eg dudley, KCP) down low.
I just checked the +/- and the Lakers were +0 with McGee and -1 with Howard, so they pretty much lost the game in the first few minutes of the 4th when they went small and all their wings missed a bunch of open 3s and Harrell has his way down low.
Also Howard lost a bunch of weight and looks more like a wing now than a center, but still can’t shoot, so worst of both worlds, but still held his own compared to when they went small.
C'mon guys, we all know game 1 of the NBA season decides everything.
Been watching the Laker games. Dwight Howard (at least through 4 games) is basically the poor man's Montrezl Harrell. He is the energy/grinder guy off the bench, which is what Harrell is, except he is way less skilled and effective than Harrell.
I've already had more than enough of Hassan Whiteside after four games.
He can have great games (and has this year) and throw up shocking stat lines like 30-25, but just clearly gives no shits at all. I shudder to think how badly Joel Embiid is going to destroy him when I go to my first game of the year on Saturday.
Would much rather watch guys who suck but try hard, like Meyers Leonard.
Interesting article regarding early needs for various teams:

Iguodala to Lakers? Hmmm...
long way to go in the season, obv...but man simmons is looking really good with his hunch about the warriors not making the playoffs at something like +400/425...
couldn't pull the trigger on that one...but liking my under...
Yeah, this Warriors team really is shit. No Durant and no Klay.
Also.... 317 points in regulation today in the Houston/Washington game.
159-158.
Really is a new era.
Imagine if you could have bet on this at under 316.5 -110, how much would you have put down?
