I mean this should be done for all privately owned guns.

So because some may break the law or resist enforcement, an otherwise sensible law shouldn't be passed?
People resist drug enforcement. Maybe there shouldn't be any drug laws. Oh I forgot, they're enforcing that against brown people. Assault rifles are mostly owned by white dudes with no dick who need a gun to feel like a man. Never mind, all good.
It has little to do with the guns and more to do with the people. For example, the AR is perfectly legal in the country to our North which has a super low gun violence rate. Yes, if you have a license you can have an AR in Canada along will all the other semi autos we have here.
What we need is mental health resources that were taken away during the Reagan years. Not more gun laws.
It isn't a sensible law if your society isn't going to buy into it, even if it seems sensible in a vacuum. What happened with prohibition is an example of this. In a vacuum getting rid of alcohol seems reasonable enough. You can certainly make a persuasive argument alcohol consumption does a lot of harm to our society, with no real benefit, yet no-one bought into prohibition.
There is probably a lot of sensible laws we can all think of that aren't going to be passed, cause there would be too much resistance.
In your fantasy land where such a law was passed, I doubt police would even comply with forcibly trying to take peoples guns. Would be a nightmare with tons of cops and civilians getting shot/killed in standoffs.
Excellent point and that is certainly a contributing factor that must be addressed. Unfortunately the corporate fascism that is slowly being built with the assistance of the Republican Party depends partially on there being a lot of crazy and ignorant people, and on everybody else being permanently on edge because of it.
i only log in here after a mass shooting to read druffs justifications. gotta protect the jew gold at all costs

I mean Hong konger doing his conservative pretending to be a liberal shtick, not that micons aborted son.
I had a sex dream about that chick who gave the fakiest interview of all time and Phillip Mudd. Would you like to hear about it Sanlmar? If I'm getting banned I want to agree with it.
You are 100% correct. Sanlmar is not a nice guy.
He is a cuddly little snuggle bear
Daily Mail showed a picture of all the victims. Not one black or Muslim looking person in the bunch. Somehow I am guessing if there is an afterlife with an alt right club, he isn't making it in.
Well, I am guessing they would let Dylan Roof in because at least his heart was in the right place and he at least tried to advance the cause. This guy just shot up a bunch of white people. Makes you question his commitment to the ideology the ADF and CNN has labeled him a follower of.
i have genuine sorrow and pity for the fbi agents that have to read this conversation.
Fair enough. I just think the alt right narrative is way overblown. Mental health issues, gun control, corporations owning our politicians, and even our culture of glorifying violence are a lot bigger problems for our society than the alt-right. I think that politicizing and turning this into a narrative about identity politics isn't doing anyone any favors, and is only making things worse.
Neonazis, skinheads and the assorted white trash have been marching around in swamps in the South for decades. And they even commit hate crimes every once in a while. But the identity politics game that we are all playing, fueled by the media, tearing the country apart, is much more damaging to the country IMO than the alt right could ever hope to be.
You might be right. PFA is definitely on some lists. On multiple occasions I have tried to access the site through various Wifi's and had it blocked by content filters. Including at the Commerce Casino, which is a little ironic this site is ostensibly about poker.
So, looks like the media is walking back the alt right narrative. That is ok. They did their job to make us hate and distrust each other a little more, based on a false, overblown narrative.
irregardless..
really hits home when you things like this -(

barring something completely unforeseeable, i think the government banning guns is not just possible but 100% inevitable as demographics and cultural norms change, along with the secularization of the country
we're a handful of school shootings away from the majority of the citizens of liberal states being in favor of a total gun ban. as the southern states start to change with the rest of the US, which will happen over time, the 2nd amendment can easily be repealed.
i'm not really sure what side i'm on with this, but that's just what i see happening
People are retarded. I think if they were made to understand how hard they were owned they would soon realize how worthless their guns are. I'm not going to pretend I understand why these mass shootings keep happening, but it secretly being the governments way to disarm people because they are scared the people would have any chance against tyranny if they have them just can't be the reason.
