automatic weapons are basically illegal everywhere in the US with few exceptions, so that's not really at issue
the focus needs to be on assault rifles, which are semi-automatic (like pistols), but can still kill dozens of people in seconds.

When I saw the interview with the brother I thought something wasn't adding up. These were heavily modified rifles he was using, and it didn't sound like he was the type that could build one himself. Much less 10. Really odd if he wasn't really a hardcore gun guy.
You can buy a "trigger crank" or "gat crank" online for about $40 to $50.
Which bolts on the trigger guard of a semi-automatic rifle.
You then rotate the crank, increasing the speed by hundreds of rounds per minute.

He helped his brother move to escape Central Florida’s humidity to Nevada in order to be able to play more video poker two years ago, Eric Paddock told the Orlando Sentinel. The two were last in touch a few weeks ago, texting about power outages after Hurricane Irma hit Florida.
A former neighbor named Sharon Judy in Viera, Florida, told the newspaper that Stephen Paddock was a friendly man who had described himself as a professional gambler. He showed Judy a picture of him winning a $20,000 slot-machine jackpot, she said.
Frankly this guy fits the profile of a user who would flourish in this cesspool
Is this legit? Why would a county commissioner do this on a dodgy crowdfunding site instead of a .gov?

Any word on Cowboy?

Looks like the shooter might have been on tilt at the time.
Also, his father was on FBI most wanted list for a while. He robbed a few banks, got caught - escaped from jail, robbed another one and wasn't found for years.Quote:
The suspected gunman behind the Las Vegas massacre made several large gambling transactions in recent weeks, according to law enforcement officials.
The transactions in Las Vegas by Stephen Paddock were in the tens of thousands, the officials said.
It was not immediately clear if those transactions were losses or wins.

Hmmm, I'm sure they are just bullshitting.

lol Trump's mouthpiece and her rigged breaking voice.
Nothing worse than somebody feigning grief with those invisible tears.
Don't run a campaign on the NRA's dime then act all distraught when hundreds of people are shot via guns that should only belong on a battlefield.
Thoughts & prayerz but don't touch my fucking gunz.
'Merica (yawn).
How fucked up is it that these have become pretty routine?
The horrifying events in Las Vegas on Sunday night mark the 273rd mass shooting in the U.S. in the 275 days that have passed so far in 2017, according to Gun Violence Archive.

It's like you don't have a long appalling history of this shit. You know there have been more mass shooting this year than actual days?
White people in America have huge form for random killing sprees.
As badly as you want it to be, it wasn't Muslims, it was one of your own. AGAIN.
Holy fuck You really don’t know shit about weapons do you. As far as pistols any handgun not a revolver is a semi auto dumbass. A semiautomatic gun simple means the shell casing is ejected and the next loads into the chamber PERIOD. Semi autos fire simply as fast as the user pulled the trigger on them. Your asinine assumption that all semiauto weapons should be illegal would include every service pistol for police and all 9mm and other pistols again other then revolvers. Hell even a shotgun that isn’t a single or double barrel would be considered a semi auto if it fired out only one barrel and yet had internally capacity for multiple shells. Really before you make such stupid comments you might want to examine your statement first.
How much do you think this event will effect Vegas as a destination spot?
I'm pretty much your average Joe, mid-western guy who goes to Vegas once or twice a year. I had a trip I was planning for March but at this point I'm holding off.
Listen, Rambo.
Whatever the fuck he was firing from the 32nd floor needs banning from all stores in every State.
Clearly he couldn't create the carnage that he did by just using pistols. He was using high-velocity weapons which killed & maimed hundreds from a fair distance.
And those are the kind of weapons which needs banning.
Predictions;
1) Vegas hotels and casinos ban guns and may institute security measures for screening large amounts of gun powder from entering higher level floors.
2) Every non-gun expert pops out and says that it's ridiculous to allow someone to own a gun that can easily kill 50 people, forgetting that hand guns kill WAY more people and if someone wanted to kill 50 people they could just get a bus driving license and drive it off a cliff or through a crowd.
3) This is used as the universal example of "look it's not all Islamic radicals" replacing Tim McVeigh. Of course this ignores the very fact that makes this shooting newsworthy: numbers count. The scale of these lone wolf attacks that are separate from Islamic terrorism are almost as laughable in scale to my human:water ratio consideration.
Las Vegas Shooter Stephen Paddock Had Recent Large Gambling Transactions

Gunman Stephen Paddock was an accountant who played $100-A-Hand-PokerQuote:
On Multiple Occasions, Stephen Paddock gambled more than $10,000 per day - and in some cases amounts greater than $20,000 to $30,000 at Las Vegas casinos

He had quite a bit of money and played video poker on cruise ships.
I wonder if Druff knew him.

From the source: the shooter had been requesting a change of rooms since he got there to the one he ended up in on that wing of MB. those rooms are vistas and have a panoramic view. The FBI interviewed the shooter's host at 5am this morning. I understand from this same source that money, or the lack thereof, was not what motivated this.
wut...
u really think terrorists want to light up degen gamblers playing high stakes poker as a statement. make zero sense to me. i would expect terrorist attacks to be on much higher stage.
i would however be frightened ever having to sit next to lederer, hamilton or any other person that fucked any of the unbalanced degen gambers.
