Druff, you need better stories.
for instance: a story about Gus Hansen and Phil Ivey.
This just conveniently showed up on my news feed & came here to post it only to find out Druff's not dead. I am very disappointed:

Sorry you didn't die before your SUPER AIDS got better.
Welcome back.
Now that I actually read and not skim his hospital trip report it's quite obvious he tried to make it funny. Pretty sure the dude knows how to lie...
We all know he can play dead. And probably shake and roll over too.
This thread keeps drifting back to Druff.
Mumbles app worked. Hawt tip.
So is Lewfather banned or what?
Okay, stop ruining this thread with crap.
I'm not out of the woods yet, literally or figuratively.
Now my legs have some issues, mostly near my ankles. Both are swollen, and my right ankle has a bump on the back which makes it feel like my shoe is messed up (but it isn't).
Lots of mosquito bites down there, most of them are old and healing, but some of the scabs look weird, and as I said, both legs are swollen.
If I could rewind the clock to early March, before all the colds, foot problems, back problems, and skin problems, that would be great.
Also it's so hard to sleep with this itching, especially my hands and ankles.
:gay
Just a coincidence all this happens after the wsop?
Druff I think you have PTSD from the Wsop.
Honestly, Druff should just move to Florida and take up Bridge and Shuffleboard.
I've already established my position on the whole hiking in the woods & camping thing.
What insecticide are you spraying yourself and family with before exposing them to this needless risk? Obviously, it's not working. If I were hypothetically in the woods I would want to choose the other product.
Please advise.
Most of us already suspect the answer.
Druff, you should go see a doctor. that's sounding really bad. Sure you don't have a tick somewhere?
Ship this guy the "worlds worst dad" shirt. Because that's what he sounds like, the worlds worst dad. I can imagine, little Sanlmar talking with his friends about a camping trip they're going on. Then he comes home and asks you if you're gonna take him. And your response is "No, sorry, it's nature and it's dangerous. you could get a mosquito bite"
Nature is fucking awesome. how on earth can you think otherwise.
get some legit bug spray (with deet) and get out there and explore nature. drive to the nearest national or state park and set up a tent. Grill some meat over a fire, or go fishing. or do both. get a fucking cross bow and go bow hunting. Just do something that isn't what you're doing now, which is sitting on a computer giving your opinion on how you don't like nature and what it has to offer.
OR
you can go back to the trash can you're typing from, bc CLEARLY, you're oscar the grouch.
Oh, I deserve the shirt.
If we had an afternoon at the Lake we'd go water skiing or learn to wind surf or something of that ilk. I would trash talk his performance when he was with me mercilously.
I NEVER took the kids camping or hiking. Perfect record. Daughter hikes and camps quite a bit now in the south west. Love the rebellion and can deal with the disrespect to my memory.
I am in a reflective mood about my behavior lately. I am a grouch. Is my own selfish amusement at others expense wrong? I have been admitting an awareness of my sins publicly these past few days. It's a first step.
Literally minutes ago I texted this.
Ship the pics of Vegas Daughter, bro.
you may have lyme disease.

My kid played American Legion baseball.
If you sat on the bench one of your duties was to shag foul balls. The opponent one day was weak and the stud catcher was being rested for a big game the following day.
It's New England and the balls are going into the woods. This catching prospect who was being recruited by every name college is running into the woods all day.
Of course, he ended up with Lyme disease. Destroyed him. He had no stamina after that. Couldn't play more than a couple innings at a stretch. He developed a nasty poker habit and is an apprentice plumber now.
Ken Scalir is god. His last call in to the show was a bright spot.
He is upbeat and fun. Note the difference?
Critical listening.
That people listen to the Show while hammered is concerning. The misguided notions they must leave with. As with wandering in the woods I suppose you gotta be on high alert.
We are about to get banhammered for enjoying this thread. I'm out for now.
Although doctors believed her injuries were minor, Katie's condition quickly deteriorated and her arm began to turn blistered and black, a sign of necrotising fasciitis spreading in her body

Bonita Fetterman has likely contracted necrotising fasciitis from the sea water

Druff better see a specialist before it's too late.
Oh wait, he's on ObamaCare. He's Fucked. RIP.
:lol3
I don't know how this forum will die, Ken Hordell.....
With the exception of Krypt we will be comparing sagging tribal tattoos and bragging about how many miles we get per charge on our mobility scooters
and talking about poker.
A gathering of the infirm
I guess we are already there.
Druff has lyme disease.
todge obv too cheap to pay for bug repellent esp when he has go such an amazing immune system
Anyway, time to share the rest of the (real) story.
The reason these sores/bites/whatever were so inconvenient was because they showed up when I was in Jasper National Park in Alberta, Canada.
I took a 2-week trip to Kamloops (British Columbia), Mt. Robson, Jasper, Banff, Waterton, Montana, Yellowstone, and Salt Lake City.
I got absolutely hammered by mosquitoes on a trail near Mt. Robson on Monday night, and I also was bitten in the Fraser Valley (between Vancouver and Kamloops) the day before. The long, skinny mark appeared on Monday (though it started out looking like a bite), and the two raised ones appeared on Tuesday.
It was a pain in the ass finding a doctor in that area. Had to go to Canmore, which was 25 miles south of Banff, and I had to talk them into letting me make an appointment instead of being a "walk in" and waiting for hours. I coughed up $100 Canadian for the visit.
I will post a trip report later. Basically it was a 1-way road trip starting in Seattle (didn't stay there, just flew in and drove) and ending in Salt Lake.
I had two health concerns coming into the trip -- a cold, which I had for about a week, and back problems, which I had for about 3 weeks. The cold was mostly gone and was never an issue. The back problems were terrible for the first 3 days, but abruptly subsided right when the skin problems with my hand started.
I do think I discovered that I am allergic (at least to some degree) to mosquito bites. For most of my life, mosquito bites were itchy and annoying, but looked and felt normal. In the past 5 years or so, mosquito bites often became huge, red, and hot, which was a departure from how they used to be. On this trip, I had the worst reaction yet to them -- and not just the ones on my hand. I also had problematic bites on my legs, stomach, and arm. I'm not sure why this changed, but I heard that this can happen.
I did use mosquito repellent, but it was mostly a fail. Maybe I will try a different version of it next time.
Shout out to the 80 MPH speed limits in Idaho and Utah.
