I finally watched the video.
1. I don't know the back story. What did this guy do?
2. Why did that cop seemingly drive 3 miles to the scene? Are that there that few cops in Chicago?
3. I can't tell why he had to be shot even one time, much less 16 times
4. Did anyone else notice how greeze these pigs are? As soon as the shot rang out the cop quickly angled his car so the dash came couldn't see it as well. Are they that fucking used to doing things they don't want on video?

It was on Fox news here over the holidays and one of the Fox news dudes was like, "Why don't they protest when they kill each other"? That seriously might be the dumbest argument possibly made. If you think like that your brain should instantly self destruct. This is a COP. This is the person you should feel comfortable to call if a crime is being committed towards you. He is there to serve and protect you. No one should have to be more scared of the Police than they are of criminals.

By the way, I just got an earful about this case, and no one here has any fucking clue how crazy this whole thing is.
Reality: They had the right to shoot that guy for 20 minutes prior to when the cop did because of all the crazy shit that happened. No cops were looking at the tape inside that Burger King...that was that Independent Group that was in there, not the police. Nothing happened for quite a while because, hold on to your hats, legally, they couldnt determine if the cop did anything wrong. I didnt know about all the crazy shit that went down at that Burger King. Lots of stuff will come out in court. Not a chance he gets 1st Degree Murder. If they are lucky, manslaughter. The press is spinning shit so out of control that no one should pay any attention to them whatsoever in this one. They even reported that he said that the guy lunged at him. He said absolutely ZERO words, as is common in these situations. He doesnt even write up the reports. I also learned a lot today about why they dont have stun guns, and why, if they did at that moment, it would have been ugly for everyone.
This trial will be amazing.
When is the trial? If it's warm outside when trial ends and he somehow gets off or he gets a slap on the wrist the the hood will burn for weeks.
Put it this way....NO ONE has reported anything remotely close to what apparently happened. The press is spinning shit every which way. There are legal reasons for the police actions as being completely justified, accept the fact that there are SHIT LOADS of facts that havent been released, not to mention how completely fucked up the situation was the other day when the states attorney decided to drop the case where the "Poet" (thug) punched the cop (poet was dating the daughter of an alderman, who admitted to making a call to the states attorney's office, and out of thin air, that attorney decided to drop the case, and no one at the states attorneys office will admit to receiving that phone call, which completely dismisses everything and the cop ((technically had to file charges under his name and not as an officer)) can now NOT sue and has blurry vision now from the punch to his eye).

Be completely honest here. How many times have you encountered police and how many things have you been charged with (whether you feel they were justified or not)?
why not use some sort of navy seal type boot camp suited for civilian life, seems its way to easy to become a cop in the US.

An arrest has been made in the investigation into a threat of violence that shut down the University of Chicago's Hyde Park campus on Monday.
A University of Illinois at Chicago student living off-campus has been arrested, according to a statement posted on UIC's site.
Despite the fact no threats were made against UIC students, faculty or staff, the university has increased patrols on campus.

"This is my only warning. At 10AM Monday morning, I'm going to the campus quad of the University of Chicago. I will be armed with an M-4 carbine and two desert eagles, all fully loaded. I will execute approximately 16 white male students and or staff, which is the same number of time McDonald was killed," wrote the commenter, who posted with the initials "JRD" and a Chicago Bulls logo, according to the police report. "I will then die killing any number of white policeman in the process. This is not a joke. I am to do my part and rid the world of white devils. I expect you do the same."
A New York resident reportedly called the FBI on Sunday morning to report the comment.
The FBI confirmed in an email statement to Chicagoist that: "An individual is in custody in connection with the threat of violence at the University of Chicago. Charges are pending, and no further information is available at this time."
sorry i didn't respond quick enough, i work. i don't have time to post 24/7, I've encountered the police in many of different scenarios,some good some bad. the point of my argument still stands, the police are our of control. i was in an accident, (nobody was involved, hurt, just damage to the car. we had tow truck on route, but of course their police approved tow truck arrived first and i had to grease the guy to drop her car so my tow could get there, all in front of the police) i wasn't the driver and i wouldn't tell them who the driver was (gf obv) but it's not my job to help them do their job. they have to investigate. they told us to go home and then later charged me with failure to report an accident and fleeing the scene of an accident.Quote:

Are you trying to say that you and you GF were in a car, with your GF driving, you got into an accident, but you told them that YOU were the driver (you said GF OBV, but that is definitely a fact that isnt obvious). I dont know what happened at that point, but essentially, you just lied to police about something pretty fucking serious, and maybe, who knows, depending on how much of a pain in the ass you were to the cop (particularly if you lied to him and made his job a lot harder, because as you said, fuck them, let them investigate) maybe there is a chance he decided to say fuck you right back by doing what he did?
