Most knew that was the dynamic in play when it all started to go bad after 9/11, which was the real jumping off point and will be forever. The problem today though, unlike back then in 2003 and 2011 is we have more enemies, and have had the time to get here now. It's also a big reason 'closing the borders' is an important issue to anyone who wants to become the next President. Rubio would leave the floodgates open, Trump would build a wall, differing opinions but very important issues at the core. It all stems back to this, terrorists, fundamentalists and their desire to inflict harm on the West. Although you really can't mess with the West, and not expect to get the best. We are in might, intelligence, wealth, sophistication, ability etc...
That probably also contributes as to why we are such huge targets, and always will be now for the radicals. The real threat these days as far as we are concerned in the U.S. is homegrown. or ones who got here undetected in past some years, and have already infiltrated our borders (ISIS/terrorists etc). I don't think they are though, because they would have attacked us here, and not France if they could have. Obviously they aren't capable of that now, but i'd bet the whole lot as we speak they are somewhere, and actively plotting here. Hopefully we get them first.
It's a whole different world we all live in now with regard to risk, and threat from radical and fundamental islamists.

ISIS must be LOLing their faces off right now at all of the apologists yelling, "If America and the rest of the west hadn't treated Muslims so poorly, none of this would have happened!"
As already mentioned here, ISIS' goal seems to be ruling their region and establishing a hard-line Islamic fundamentalist regime.
ISIS is using past "mistreatment" of Muslims as propaganda to get recruits, but that's not at all a requirement to recruit. It's just an easy and convenient way to go about it. As they control the message, ISIS can recruit in many ways, including lying about conspiracies to wipe out Islam or claims that the west's decadent ways are taking over the world and infecting humanity like a virus.
It's a huge stretch to claim, "Because we did X in the past, now ISIS is doing Y."
Islamic fundamentalist groups are all about power and religious fanaticism, and are not peace-loving people who are just fighting back. They would be attacking us regardless, and their recruits are confused or hopeless souls who could have otherwise been brainwashed in so many different ways.

So I'm reading that there was three suicide bombers who blew themselves up at different locations - yet only one civilian was killed as a result. Can someone explain the rationale behind this, considering that the idea is to set the bomb off and take a load of innocents down with them?
I always thought suicide mission stories were a load of bs, because of natural survival instinct (don't tell me they do it as they're promised 72 virgins in heaven), but at least in the 9/11 narrative they do it in a spot where they could legit take down mass lives.
Considering the coordinated attack, the bombs may have been remotely detonated or on timers with no off switch. So basically if you're not in position when the thing goes off, you hit nothing. I have no idea if that's the case, but it seems plausible that the coordinator would do something like that to ensure that the bomber doesn't change their mind and just run away. I've hung out with tons of Mormons, had really good Mormon friends , had many Mormon teachers, coaches etc. since the day I was born. It was weird, I did notice that they'd rarely invite me in their house. Then when Mitt was running for pres. i saw Bill Maher talking about Mormons wearing magic underwear.
Sounded like bullshit, Ive never seen or heard of em. Maybe the hardcore Utah molly Mormons. Of course I started Googling. Yep M and F alike, after they go thru the Temple "which is usually a bit after schooling and their mission" they wear them 24 /7 under their clothes. Take em off briefly for sex and a shower, and that's pretty much it.
Once you know what to look for you can see them under their clothes. I was blown away how many people I've known for ever wear "Magic underwear." If you go to the ex mormon blogs you'll hear stories of not allowing non mormon visitors because the potential embarrassment if outsiders see their garments. Pretty normal for Mormons to make sure other Mormons are wearing their garments.
Can confirm, they don't talk about their sacred garments.

If we're going to send our own kids to clean up your backyard, you should be willing to fight for your new country on behalf of your family. I have a buddy Guido. His old man is Guido also. He came to the US at 18 from Italy(obviously). He got off the boat, they took him to an army recruiter, and without having a clue what he was signing, was a member of the army. They sent him to Italy. So he left Italy for a better life in America and got sent promptly back to Italy. Like 10 weeks later after basic He learned English, did his time and dealt with it, and eventually made his way to America and made a life for himself.
I'm sympathetic that we are partially responsible for setting the Middle East on fire in the first place, but if your own are so barbaric that you can't deal, we'll keep your family safe while you help us clean that shit up. Having them would be incredibly useful with their knowledge, and it would be politically palatable to everyone. You can bring 50k immigrants if you're giving us all your young men for the effort.

Oh shit.....sorry to hear that man. After my 2nd back surgery (L5 exploded) I figured I was doing ok rehabing it, but the vertebrae are now touching, as the disc is almost gone. It caused my entire spine above to get fucked up. The neck vertebrae are now bulging forward, then as you go down the spine, everything moves left and twists. I was trying to golf again with Gallo this summer, but was having issues and I thought I tore something in my arm. Turns out, the nerve is mashed and I have been in pain ever since. Chiro has helped, but if nerve pain is what you are experiencing, I feel for you. Its hell.
